DOVIS & Kone Traction Elevators including an old Otis at Evans Library, TAMU in College Station, TX.

Video Recorded on December 15, 2022: The term "DOVIS" was coined from some long-time elevator enthusiast in which discovered an elevator that got modded by Otis in which was originally a Dover or Dover modernized by Otis. Anyway, I first started with the older set of elevators. Originally Otis until ThyssenDover modernized them, tastefully, leaving a couple of the original Otis plaques. Also noticed the different height on both the COP. The one on the right is your normal COP, but the left one is a lot shorter. Next off, I showed the decommissioned old Otis black button elevator located in the very back end of the library. And then finally, I did a quick ride on the newly modernized elevators in which are Kone that used to be Dover. Unfortunately on the last elevator, we wrote in this video, it didn’t run so well. And also, they were pretty messed up as well. Especially the older car on the far right. When you push the door control buttons on the COP, both the “DOOR OPEN” and “DOOR CLOSE” buttons light up at the same time! That must’ve been the reason why most people hate Kone in terms of their quality.
First Elevators: Installed in 1967, modernized in 2000.
Second Elevator; Installed in 1967 I think?
Third Elevators; Installed in 1978, modernized in 2013.

That sucks that the Otis black button elevator is decommissioned. My parents' former restaurant had an Otis black button elevator, but it sadly hasn't been running since 1979. I was able to get one of the call stations off of it however because the building sadly got destroyed by hurricane Ian.

I can't believe the OTIS Black Buttons got decommissioned. The Dover mod did pretty much show proper ADA compliance.
As for the KONE, they do need some help. I actually love KONE, especially with what they offer in India

The Dovis elevators are nice. The kones are not very good.
