  • Video Recorded on December 15, 2022: This is at the Oceanography & Meteorology Buidling at Texas A&M University. With a set of 3 elevator cars. The ones on both sides are the regular passenger elevators and the big one in the back is the service/freight elevator. I absolutely LOVE the Texas A&M logo hung above the elevator doors for the big one! Anyway, these definitely used to be Otis Lexan based on seeing some of the original parts retained such as the original Otis logos. Definitely a tasteful mod of course. The service elevator I was on moves VERY SLOW, but it's got the interesting rear door configuration. Installed in 1971, modernized in 2005.

The service elevator is probably the most interesting out of all of them, I like how they have a two speed door for the rear.

OMG I miss these. This is one of my favourite elevator videos of TAMU on this channel apart from the Bright Building.

This is a neat elevator setup. I like the service elevator because the rear door has its own COP for certain rear floor in this facility. (Also, it’s door configurations.) I like Otis Series 2 because the arrows are separate from their actual floor indicators.

I didn’t think to ride the service elevator when I was there at another time

That "--" shown on the indicator on the broken elevator means that the elevator does not know its position in the shaft.
