I got a tattoo of the Zia sun (state symbol) on my ankle after going to NM for the first time. Just went there for the THIRD time last week! It is my favorite state in the US. So much beauty everywhere you go.
I love living here in NM 😊
Our crime is awesome here as well! Although to be very honest, it was never really This bad. A lot of theft, both personal and vehicle theft is a state favorite. Violent crime is now on the rise, as it is a rarity to not see someone or more being gunned down on the news every day. This is due to very ram-pet gang activity. Albuquerque is by far our most dangerous city. Santa Fe is still pretty safe in the tourist areas, and during the day. It’s a shame because ours is a very beautiful state, it’s very diverse culturally, and aesthetically. I really wish our elected government would clamp down on our crime before it’s too late, as it’s getting very close to being “Out of control” and we are losing more visitors to our state every year. This is most evident during our annual “Balloon fiesta” where after many years of stollen vehicles and stollen balloons, balloonists from around the world have started their own balloon fiestas to avoid our state, where year after year, less and less are making the trek to New Mexico.
Mostly only native new mexicans get that tattoo so seeing someone from another state get it really makes me smile! You are awesome and I'm glad you enjoy my state as much as I do 😊
@@Burciaga96 ive been thinkin about gettin one over my heart, i been coming here my hole life and i happy to finally be living here after 29 years of coming here
@@christopherm903
What do you suggest city/county/state governments do to "clamp down" on crime? I think I know what you will say, but I wanted to see your reply
There's a saying in NM that we use. If you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes. 😂
Lmao so true 😂
We have that saying in Massachusetts too.
haha thats cool...in india if you dont like weather just go to another city...you can experience the snowfall and hot desert night on the same day..
People say this everywhere I have been in the US.
The Dude I drove down to New Mexican from Colorado going to Texas and indeed the weather is bipolar
That's ALL SICK !!! ...only locals will understand

I live in New Mexico and it really is awesome! Remember to check out Ruidoso and cloudcroft!!!
And Roswell...
Ruidoso duuude... yes. 👌
New Mexico is such an amazing part of the US. It kind of flies below the radar. I don't think foreign tourists go to New Mexico a lot. I don't even think a lot of Americans go to New Mexico, compared to the states around it like Arizona and Colorado. This video just scratches the surface. Santa Fe is a beautiful city, a unique city--but there is a lot more to New Mexico. I've been there five time and I want to go again.
Yes! Fly to El Paso and drive West an hour to Las Cruces/Old Mesilla. Or come to Northern NM and visit my wonderful home city of Albuquerque, where you can take the RailRunner train for day trips to Santa Fe. There is beauty in every direction.
@@cbeaucrawford What is there to see in Las Cruces/Old Mesilla? I'll be at White Sands in October and would love any suggestions!
Please let me know of the must see places! I'm Canadian and I'm planning a road trip there. I have Sante Fe (Meow Wolf), Carlsbad caverns, White Sands, Albuquerque (hot air balloon festival) + Taos/Taos Pueblo on the itinerary so far.
welcome to my home! 🌄 such beautiful footage, so glad you all came throughb
Love NM. Green chilli on everything!!
Hahaha yeah we did that the whole trip. So tasty!
Chile. Green chile. Red chile. No chilli in NM.
los bones thank you so much for taking the time to share your pet peeve with me
If you ever go back make sure to hit White Sands, Carlsbad Caverns, and the Lincoln National Forest. Oh and the Valley of Fires is pretty sweet :)
Second this! Just did exactly this on my way to Santa Fe and it was epic.
Thank you for showing how beautiful my state is. ♡

Some amazing with the drone. You really made New Mexico look incredible. Nice job!!
Thank you!!!
I've lived in New Mexico my whole entire life. I feel like more often than not people travel here and talk down about this state, but it truly is filled with so much beauty. It's super refreshing to see you guys enjoy the culture, food, and just all that New Mexico has to offer! I love my home!
P.s. Put the International Balloon Fiesta on your to do list!!
Lived in ABQ for a bit. Stunningly beautiful landscape. The people... not nearly as good. Couldn't handle the theft
Thank you Kathryn. It really is gorgeous out there
This is amazing my whole family from there all my ancestors I'm excited you have done this video I am a naitive of the Pueblos thank you
I just found out this is my ancestors tribe! Extremely exciting I love New Mexico.
I love my state! #505 #NewMexico
I'm blessed to live in Santa Fe. There is SO much more to experience than this video could possibly convey. Even the High Road. You couldn't show Truchas, and probably didn't see Cundiyo.
When I say I'm blessed to be here, I truly mean it. I wasn't born here. But I plan to be buried here.
It’s a very special place!
I've traveled all over the world thnx to my career. New Mexico is where I'll retire these old bones. I love how they keep history alive. Valla Con Dios.
i absolutely love northern nm, so much history, culture, beautiful scenery and hikes everywhere you go.
CZcams travel videos can get so extravagant and over the top. Love seeing a great travel vid of amazing stuff that’s right in your backyard ☺️
Totally! We were blown away by how much New Mexico has to offer
So glad new Mexico is part of your trip. I'm from New Mexico and think it's the most insanely beautiful state. So much to see and do.
Just finished a trip to NM and got some great ideas from your video to travel on a Mystery Trip next time with some cool clues from your video😀
I’m glad you guys appreciate New Mexico, it definitely is a unique place
Oh unique alright.....
My great grandfather helped build the gorge bridge. I’m from Las Vegas NM but Taos is my favorite place on earth💜
Leena Martinez my family is from Las Vegas New Mexico my grand father and his father and his father are all from Las Vegas NM. Their last name is Martinez too!
You guys bearly scratched the surface NEW MEXICO has so much more than what you had time for.
Lots to discover out there
I think santa fe was my favourite place in America. Its sort of a mix of Spanish, Anglo and native American cultures and I have a huge history book from nearly thirty years ago staring back at me as I type this. In fact I was captured by the San ildefonso tribe for trespassing on their land and made to pay the penalty of ten dollars
haha! You were captured by a tribe? Wow. Whereabouts was this?
Yeah. New Mexico !!!😁 gettin some fame
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Proud born and raised New Mexican and i loved this video so much. Not often i hear of people who are excited to embrace the culture and heritage that love so much. You hit many of my favorite places to visit and i hope you enjoyed your time in NM!!!
I've been to New Mexico twice and there really is something special about it that just keeps me wanting to go back.
Thank you! I lived there in the late 70’s for over a decade from Questa to Santa Fe and you were able to catch the essence of what was and what is. You didn’t depict the church at Chimayo a place of miraculous healings and a never ending pilgrimage of those seeking a physical and mental healing. I hope you personally had the opportunity to see it and if not a reason for you to return. Thank you again for allowing me a trip down a precious trail of memories that will always be a part of who I am.
Unfortunately getting permission to film in that church is very difficult
Thank you for putting NM out there!
Love living in New Mexico ♥️♥️
Totally living in style. Great video and you both have come a long way with all that hard work. 🤘😀
Thank you!!
Love the way your videographers are capturing your road trips... Truly World -Class... & thanks for all this behind the scenes info... bringing everyone closer to what is real.
Thank you!!
One of my favorite places on Earth. Loved what you guys did with it..

Easy Rider was what sparked my motorcycle travels. Thanks for the info, since the last time I was Taos was 1985.
I live in Taos and I love everything about it!
What a wonderful journey.
Always enjoy the videos and the places that are explored.
♥️🇨🇦
Thank you Alisa!!!
Visited Taos Pueblo over 20 years ago, crossed the same bridge over the Rio Grande. Your video reawakened my desire to revisit the area and also to visit Meow Wolf in Santa Fe. You guys never fail to inspire.
Thank you!!!!
I love how you explain the location, great footage too! Cheers, gives me inspiration to improve my VLOG
Love it!
Wow thanks guys!

You two always inspire me for new and different travel destinations.
Thank you Chiara!!!
First time I get to a video this early! You guys rock, always looking forward to your vids. 👌🏼

Great video, I like all the history in the video. Three years ago toured northern Arizona and New Mexico. Went through part of the Navajo Nation, the Southwest is very unique and really enjoyed it.
Looks so beautiful!!!!!
It was really gorgeous out there!! Hope you enjoyed the video :)

Hahah 🙏🏼
Great video, keep it up! New Mexico is now on my US bucket list :)
Albuquerque is a great city too. Ck out vids of our baloon fiesta
It’s definitely worth a visit
Great video so colorful, nice view.
I moved to Albuquerque two months ago and I gotta say this is probably the best move I've ever made (yes I was aware of the reputation ABQ has). I've lived in the Midwest (Ohio and Iowa), Virginia, Arizona, Colorado and I grew up in the LA area. Out of all the places I've lived in, New Mexico is where I'm seriously considering buying a house, it helps that I could actually afford a nice home in Albuquerque. No joke this is only the second place I've moved to where I'm actually pretty damn comfortable with the thought of buying a home and settling down for awhile.
The other place was Colorado Springs, but it's getting pricey up there.
Was thinking of visiting Santa Fe and Taos this coming weekend alone just to ride around and see the sites even with the virus situation what do you think?
@@tonygareth221 If you just want to ride around and see the sites but be warned many restaurants and shops are going to be closed for the next few weeks
Native Santa Fean here! It is a special place. My distant great grandfather was the governor of NM in the 1840s and there is sooo much history. I’m glad you were able to come get a dose of our history, food, views, and culture. And of course Meow Wolf :)
I'm so sad that I didn't get around to Meow Wolf! Loved that you covered it!
Your "Art" gives me great pleasure.. Thanks
Thank you Elliot
Great video! I live in New Mexico! Such a great place. I laughed when it started to snow. We usually experience 2-3 different seasons each day, lol. Subscribed.
This is amazing
Thank you so much!!
So proud to to a New Mexican!
yeah!!! i was wondering when you would come to my homeland! so good you guys thanks for the amazing filming of my home ~ grew up in Santa Fe and go to Taos all the time ~ I helped start Meow Wolf over 10 years ago too ~ blessins! come back again anytime :)
No way that is awesome!!! Meow Wolf was great
Love this, Marco and Alex! I’m moving to Santa Fe in November #JillsCousin
Amazing!!! Enjoy!
Wonderful place. Very beautiful video. Nice creation. Great work friends.
Thank you!
Such a well done video! Perfect timing too. I watched your Canadian Rockies video right before my trip to Alberta and this one before my US roadtrip (including New Mexico). The whole reason I started planning a trip to this region was because I saw an ad for Meow Wolf and thought "I have to go there!" Had to skip over that part of the video so there will be some surprises. You've gotten me excited for my upcoming trip yet again!
Awesome!!! Have fun!!
Wonderful Video.Every Thing Amazing...
Thank you so much!
On my bucket list for that trip on the bike. Have done it in car several times, but not on the cycle. Ride Safe.
Awesome place, I hope to get there someday 👌👌🌍💙
Totally worth!!
Just returned from my vacation in roswell nm. Ufo festival was great fun. Always make time to visit Bitter Lake Wildlife Refuge. Santa Fe is beautiful city. Lots of great artisans and jeweley makers. Thanks for the video.
Thank you Kitty Kat!!
This is my home! 😊 I hope you enjoyed it.
We loved it!!
Oh cool! You posted this on my birthday! Did you guys get to the Earthships on the other side of the bridge??? I moved to Taos from Southern California......love love love it! Thanks for the video!!!
I have always wanted to do a moto trip through the southwest, this has sealed the deal.
Gotta be done!
New cool adventure guys :) I felt like in the movie :)
That’s what we were going for!
Sick vid guys, one of my all time dreams is to cruise the West Coast. Keep the vids coming.
Thank you!! Have you seen our California Motorcycle Road Trip?
@@vagabrothers I haven't I gotta go check that out!
Great video. New Mexico looks like a new spot on my U.S.A must-see places.
New Mexico is one of my favorite places in the US to visit, but it's not a place most people know.
It’s amazing!!
It’s amazing to live here in New Mexico and if you think that you have tried chilli you don’t know what chilli is till you come here and get the green chilli
Great video of a gorgeous part of the southwest - I grew up in northern New Mexico, so I’m partial. I did make a quick trip to Santa Fe at Christmas to see family, and took the old high road as far as Las Truchas. Oh, and thanks for recommendation of Happy Paradise restaurant in Hong Kong. I was there in April, and had my birthday dinner there - a chef’s tasting menu - really nice!
Awesome to hear James!! We loved exploring your home state and glad you liked our HK recommendations
Heck yeah, Taos Native. 🖤
Taos is amazing!!!!!
Beautiful place . 😍
Amazing video. 👌
Good job .😎
LOVE from INDIA❣
🙏🏼
Thank you!!
😂🙌
Love it
Thanks for sharing.
Amazing
Cheers Samad!
This video was fascinating and beautifully shot! Pity I had to keep turning my TV volume up and down to hear the interviews while not being deafened by the music, though.
New Mexico is possibly one of my favourite places in the US. Your video evoked very fond memories of my trip there. ;)
It is so beautiful there! Thank you Patricia
I have a total love/hate relationship with NM. I've lived here 3 times now. Taos is my special place. I joke that Grandma Taos Mountain is bringing me closer now that I live in Pojoaque vs. Albuquerque.
Taos was great!!!
I seem to remember a movie around 1969 about two guys from California who passed through Taos area. They had some good times, got in jail in Taos, and things really turned south for them in Louisiana.
Oh hell yeah, so timely. I’m leaving in an hour for a road trip out west and will be in Santa Fe for a week
Enjoy!! It’s gorgeous out there :)
I’m from New Mexico. Sante Fe and town are my old stomping grounds
New Mexico Cuisine is usually green or red chili(the best in the world) enchiladas , beans and rice tortillas sopaipias etc., I do hope you indulged in New Mexico Cuisine.
We ate so much!! It was delicious
So many carpets-alachas similar to ours.
It's official. Meo Wolf is on the list! What a trippy concept! Never would have heard of it if not for this video!
U and me. That looks nuts and I didn't even see any stairs. Here is hoping.
Used to be our bowling alley, lol. Its way better than the video shows. You need to visit us.
Meowolf is wild!!
I live in NM and it is amazing and u should totally see ruidoso it is so cool and pretty
Love from karachi bros😍😍
Thank you!!!
DH Lawrence was a big NM lover.
Very cool video.
Thank you!!
Definitely have to go up to the top of the Sandia mountains
