- Our last fishing trip of the year was nothing short of spectacular. Alaska's vibrant Autumn lights up the landscape with its fiery hues. In these brief months before the long winter ahead wildlife can be seen feasting on salmon. Valdez is home to bountiful fish and magestic mountains. We leave with an abundance of food and the everlasting memories.

Lived in Anderson attending grade school then Nenana H.S. Knew Art Anderson and watched this little community grow to incorporation....so many years ago! Eventually moved back to Fbks. This dropped 35mins ago, I've watched it along with 9.5k other people in that short amount of time , and as always , I was not disappointed!!!! From the glorious opening shots of the rugged ALASKAN mountains with her majestic waterfalls , down to the wild life of bears on land, to the sea lions of the ocean ... and that's all before you even start fishing !!!
And once again you didn't fail to deliver... from the very first cast it was on !!! Snag after snag meant fish after fish was reeled in and added to your total. They are great size fish, well worth the trip when there's so much food for yourselves, the dogs, and the chickens !!!!
Your purple fish looked ever so mouth watering, can't wait for the next vid to see how you decide to preserve the remainder of your catch into something tempting and delish !!! When I was in culinary school, my chef made gravlax only he used tequila on the fish with the salt and sugar mix. It was SO good. Love seeing you guys experimenting with food.

I'm here in Australia.. one time we went pig shooting with old .303 war rifles to the farmer said shoot that old ram in the west paddock if you find him well..
My brother kept it a secret and went Yahoo and blew that rams clean head off... As a suprise.. but unfortunately we went on a killer rampage after that & shot three horses before he said stop I was only joking... Shot that mare in half with that bad old .303 worst hunting day ever

I actually wish they did some sponsored videos so they could earn more. I love their channel so much, it’s my favorite. I want them to be as successful as possible and CZcams isn’t paying creators as well as they used to. I wouldn’t mind a sponsored video here and there.

Those bears are safe and are hungry. There must be hunting restriction in place for that area, else the bears would be hunted/shot to extinction in very little time.

@@paulineclarke5388 Most bears fear humans far more then humans fear bears. The bear I got years ago was bold and feasting on the berries that grow around my home. My dog was at risk. I tried to scare the bear away, but the berries had him coming back again and again and again. Finally I bought a tag and he went straight into my freezer A young bear and is the best meat I have ever tasted. Even the chuck roasts taste like backstraps. Incredible.

So cool to see this nordic tradition being used by you guys! Gravlax is actually a nordic (norwegian/swedish) word. We say gravlaks, where grave means to dig or bury, and laks is the norwegian/swedish word for salmon. Literally meaning buried salmon, originated from the traditional way of burying the gravlax to get a stable cool temperature. You should try the same with game if you get a moose this fall, it's amazing as well. Cheers from Norway!

How long are the fish left buried? AK natives have a traditional thing about burying salmon and letting it rot/ferment before eating. "stink heads" ...also rotten fish roe in jars.
