I like for the point guard to Pass & Screen Away on the initial pass. Gets the point guard on a wing so he can attack the next time the ball touches his hands.
In my experience, a well-coached team will take away the high post with their back side guard rather than their 5 in the middle… If their 5 is cheating up that high, we’re exposing them with back screens and baselines all night long. We sneak our backside wing to the nail after our first two actions and force the 5 and two top defenders to make a business decision: Cheat out of position and sacrifice a layup, or stay zone disciplined and give up the three.
Hey Jason! I agree completely. This video was really for youth Bball that doesn’t have three range yet and we typically sink daring them to take the three living with the consequences. Thank you for that insight!
I think this would be a really good offense for my boy's 5th/6th grade rec team. We are required to play zone defense for three quarters of every game. One dumb question if I may. What would you do if the two defenders up top are playing the 2 and 3 wings close and trying to deny the pass from the 1? Would you simply dump it in to 5, or would you do something else? Thanks in advance Coach!
Wow these things sound so complicated to me man. Individually I am better than my peers at basketball probably, but I kinda suck at understanding these while american girls understand them.. Im not going to be able to play for the next year probably because of some joint problems and I am trying to advance.

I would absolutely use the 5. You could pull the 5 up to set a pick for your PG, you could give and go with the 5.
You can also use the aggressive nature of the D on the wings to back door cut with a pick from the 3 or 4
