I have only 2 Ts that took their enclosures as I built them. The others were like "what is this rat's nest? there needs to be a huge pile of dirt and these plants need to be buried and there is a lack of mess in general"
"There is a lack of mess in general." is the best description of a tarantula's attitude towards a new enclosure that I've ever read.

Love your angry girl. She was literally vertical at the end. Love both enclosures but this one takes it for me. I loved Kat's moss on the bark in hers but the black pulling this together was great. Great job on both enclosures, high fives all round

This is my first time viewing your channel, sent over from Tarantula Kat for the competition. This is such a hard decision. I love the autumn gothy look of yours but I also love the fairytale forest Kat did. 😭 Curse you both for making me struggle to decide!
No pun, but in my opinion, Dave's Little Beasties makes very nice enclosures.
They are both great and I love both aesthetics, but I gotta go with Kat for the details.

I am new to spiders, Tarantula's, and both channels. Makes me feel I can be unbiased here. I loved both enclosures, but had to choose you, Richard.(Please don't be upset Kat, when you see my comment. Absolutely nothing personal :) Reason #1 for me is, it is certainly a setup meant for a Tarantula, and showcases the beauty of this species for me. #2 is I like the way you use the space. It has a full feel, and pcs are in proportion to the enclosure. Somewhat cozier, if you will. Great Job!!
Honestly I can’t even vote. I love them both. I love the goth feel and black touches and skull in your enclosure. I also love Kat’s mushrooms and pops of color. They are both fantastic enclosures for beautiful Ts.

Richard, I am late but I have to say that I did like your enclosure but Kat’s is so adorable 🥰 I gotta late vote for Kat this time! I would love to see a Tarantula build off with other Tarantula content makers :)
I'm a big fan of naturalistic setups more than any sort of theme; replicating their natural habitat as closely as possible is far more important to me than any aesthetic (and if you do proper research into where they're from, you can certainly make them aesthetically pleasing still!). Both look great, but I do prefer yours out of the two!

Man, you both did great! I like Kats fairy tale theme but I LOVE anything goth looking. I set up a Nightmare Before Christmas themed 20 gallon enclosure for my skeleton leg tarantula. It took me 3 days 🤣🤣😫 glad I'm not the only one who devotes time and creativity to the enclosures.

Both were great and have different aesthetics. I think you did a better job matching the colors and feel of the T to your enclosure. The threat pose pic sealed the win for m!

I'm so looking forward to seeing what Kat does, personally I think you are both good and decorating enclosures. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sets up enclosure, adds loads of stuff then thinks I need more substrate, so it gets dumped on top of the hard work 🤣🤣 this is what I love about the T community, rather than Kat getting annoyed and you both fighting, instead you are having a healthy little competition, now that is the best middle finger to trolls ever.
I really liked both enclosures. I'm kind of over skulls, but I love how high you piled the substrate, while Kat's was a little lacking. I think I liked her aesthetic more, though. Tough to choose!!
Richard gets my vote there is nothing wrong with cat or her enclosures I just kind of preferred the skull and I prefer Richard's Channel because he is so so knowledgeable about this stuff

It’s all about hiding those straight lines and moss works great for that. Not too many straight lines in nature. You should do a build off for the subscribers so I can win it.
Very cool enclosure, nice vibe, love me some anatomically correct skulls, this one in black and gold totally works with the coloration of your T, and the overall theme.

After watching The Tarantula Collective and Tarantula Kats enclosure builds I have to say I liked both in their own ways. TKat had the live plant, colorful scene. Richard had the skull and goth theme. The only thing that would have made the build off better would have been if Dark Den had been in it lol

Very nice work on decorating. Loved the video, very themed based for the season and most likely your little girl. You seemed to be more aggressive when rehousing. Do you worry you may injure them? The locked in threat pose was awesome while she lay on her back. How did all the webbing get into your videos? How long after the rehousing did you shoot your final enclosure vids? Nice work!

I have watched videos. Richards I say you win. The decor is so you perfect for Halloween. In saying that Kat wins, because her enclosure just pops Kat was here. The closing sentence is both of you. You tarantulas win. Just look at what you built.
How the Hades are we supposed to choose???? I like them both equally for different reasons. Yours is seasonally appropriate and suits your Nhandu perfectly. Kat's is flittin' fairy perfect for anything pink toed. If it was up to me, I'd declare a tie.

beyond the legal obligation as a goth tc fan to vote for you, I much prefer the way/amount you placed the substrate and the darker tones feels more natural and satisfying than the fairy vibes. just my opinion. obviously, it’s still a nice enclosure!
