    People used to tell me that I'd never get out what I put into a Warmoth build. I routed my Fender tele for two humbuckers, a single coil, two jacks, three switches, active unity gain preamp and a master switch to turn the onboard effects loop on/off. I'll never get money back on that one. I'd never sell it either but my work didn't raise the market price of that guitar.
    My three Warmoth builds cost me less in the end and started off with nicer wood, finishes and superlative fitment. I'll take a Warmoth over pretty much everything else these days.
    Plus, they are so friendly and nice to work with. Amazing company.

    I've built two Warmoth guitars. I started with a Hybrid Tele. After building it, I fell in love with it and built matching 12 string. Next up is going to be a chambered strat body with an f hole and Lindy Fralin blues specials.

    I really like the black body and the neck with it. Super.

    Beautiful. I'm trying to spec out and order something similar but in a gold top vibe. I prefer a flat back over the contoured strat cutouts, wondering if Warmoth offers a carved top with flat back? I also want mine hollow with an F hole, thinline style. Yours came out great!

    • @JakeBaynes
      @JakeBaynes  Před 6 měsíci +2

      They do! You can pretty much get anything you like. For my carve top. I chose as an extra option to add the contours.

    Dude you have superb taste. Super classy looking instruments. How is the fret work straight out if the box?

      Its remarkable! Haven’t had to have leveling or crowning of any sort from a new neck

    Thanks for the video. Been wondering how I can end up with the neck I want. Will they assemble it for me or do I have to do it myself Thanks

    Sweet guitars. To save money I get Fender bodies and then put on Warmoth or other necks.

    That hybrid sounds amazeballs.
    Here's a question: What kind of issues did you have to solve doing a hybrid of Fender and Gibson? Because I love Strats but vastly prefer a TOM bridge. I really want a Strat with a TOM bridge and body mounted pickups (HSS). But then it occurred to me that maybe I can't because of the height of TOM bridges compared to Strats as well as the neck pocket depth and pickup clearance. I see that your bridge is recessed. Any info/tips appreciated!
    Thanks for the video! Both sound great!

      I've been wanting to do the same thing. I'm in a Warmoth builders group on Facebook. Someone in it did a strat with TOM bridge and stop tailpiece with a pickguard. He had to widen the pickguard, but that's it.

      @@chefmcd7788 I think you have to get an angled neck pocket though?

    Hi thanks for the video, been wondering where how I could end up with the neck I want. Question, do you buy the parts and assemble it yourself or will they build it for me. Thanks again!

      I know this is a late reply, but if you bought the parts I would offer to assemble it for you with the cost depending on what your exact spec is.

    • @ajbrown
      @ajbrown Před měsícem

      Warmoth doesn’t do fretwork. If you want perfect frets you have to do it yourself or have someone else do it. I love doing my own fretwork. That’s how you add value to Warmoth parts.
