  • Doctor Who fan? With many iconic scenes being filmed here in London, we dispatched Luke Spillane to guide us round some of the spots where the TV series has been filmed.
Luke has been a Doctor Who fan for 20 years, and currently presents and works on the official Doctor Who CZcams channel ( / doctorwho ) and is constantly trying to get Doctor Who references into his improv comedy group The RH Experience ( / therhexperience )

Doctor Who is a lot more mainstream here in the UK than it is in North America.

Considering that "Survival" was done just down the road from me in my home town Harrow, Perivale, and Ealing, Horsenden Hill is probably my favourite location. It's one of the highest spots in London. Surprised that wasn't mentioned...

My son is just watching doctor who and that estate is used all the time. The alien boy who was scared of everything was there. Rose lived there. Love and monsters was there. Pilot was also there. It’s a perfect location as you don’t realise until you watch back to back that they keep using it.

A loo in a restaurant (can't remember the exact location) is designed to resemble the TARDIS, complete with the outer police booth design, flashing lights and classic TARDIS sound effects...but other than that it's just an ordinary loo!

splendid. Quite a lot missing, the slope between Riverside Studios and Hammersmith Bridge where a Dalek comes out of the water for instance, not to mention the Post Office Tower (as it then was) in War Machines, Centre Point in The Invasion, Battersea Power Station in Rise of the Cybermen. Perivale in Survival. Marylebone Station from The Silurians. Etc, etc.

Daniel Penfold, There were 26 seasons prior to the cancellation of the show in 1989. In 2005, Russell T Davis made an intelligent decision to call the new season “Series 1”. Hence the most recent season (36) is referred to as Series 10. Hope this helps :)

Would someone like to know whats really goin on in Doctor Who?
I solved it all during series 6 after a few years of grumble.
Here is a major hint why I am correct.
During the 7th Doctor & (8th) we got to know pretty much all that is needed to crack the puzzle of whats goin on in Doctor Who.
and what is (in super short)
    goin on?
    The Dark times
(Where the former rulers over time tries to stop those that will/has become the "next" rulers over time.)
What?! That hasent been shown in the show.
    But it has.
Here is litterarly "the key to time"
Rassilons ascention device (End of time pt2)
Activated at the end of the timewar @the same moment Gallifrey was frozen in time.
Thus only fully ascended those closest enough (the new Guardians over time) aka those present at the Gallifreyan high counsil.
While everyone else on Gallifrey becomes trapped in an Schrödinger like state of both being alive and ascended at the same time. (aka they can only move when no one is watching)
    and that is not all.
The ascention wave also killed/ascended the TARDIS after it exited the void with Gallifrey in tow. So the TARDIS threw out Jodie W regen to save her and its last act still being alive was to take the frozen Gallifrey away from Earth.
    But we have seen the TARDIS after that. Yes we have (the ascended "version") aka the Holy Ghost; monument;
add to that 3 wise companion, abscent father, man giving birth, King James, Archangels & having to walk away from those that has to die.
    and what do you get?
Id say Mary mother of the (female, in this new Universe) that has to die when around 33-37 that regens after 3 days...(and thats "surprisingly Not the new Doctor; for this new Universe) No thats someone else that was handed the cloak of life (for this new Universe) whos birth came to become by the same event (diffrent details but still same)our (now former) Doctors birth came to be.
Our former Doctor that is currently the Caretaker/Curator/President over the mankind that will loose its timebattle against the (Weeping Angel manipulated Daleks as the Earth falls to them in 5145AD)
Where the trapped thru history (former Doctor) has spread his/her DNA thruout mankind from the year 4BCE to 5145AD while building a new timemachine that is completed so. EVERYBODY lives. and as the newly built RIVERS saves mankind to Trenzalore the only other safe planet in the Universe (saved to a harddrive; as pretold in Utopia) that so happens to be the former (Terraformed Gallifrey; by Rassilon ascention device)
=Missy is the new black Guardian over time.
Our fomer Doctor's sister is both the new white Guardian and the Masters mother.
And the name of our former Doctor?
Tony Tyler the end product of the entire classic Universe and hybrid child of parents from two diffrent Universis from where that Earth was both copied (the copy became our classic series Earth) but also stolen away from where this stolen Earth became Mondas)
    How do we know this?
Because after the Doomsday (of the classic Universe) (hidden in episode Doomsday during 10th says goodbye to Rose scene)
The classic Earth was stolen away from that Universe but was returned to the "wrong" one where the moon waiting was an egg (put there most likly by a future incarnation of the Curator (aka President over the new rulers over time)
    .....
    Am I wrong?
Nope I am not; because the above explains everything in Doctor Who since the start.
Including Whom the original wife of Tony Tyler/1st Doctor used to be aka Susan Formans grandmother....
answer.....the head of the spacewizards of course whom else...
    Rassilon.
