    Excellent and honest review. Two questions if possible:
    1) maybe I missed it on the video, but could you please let us know what is approximately the real range you get with your every day use?
    2) this is a general question for all this type of high end scooters. Do you feel safe locking it in public places? Is there anything, like gps tracker, special locks etc you do to increase safety? Or do you simply never leave it on the street alone?

      Hello! Thanks for the comment, subscribe!
      To answer your questions:
      1. I get around 20-30 miles riding it just about as fast as the roads I’m on let me (very often over 35mph) and I weigh 125 lbs!
      2. Always lock your scooter. Depending what city you live in I would consider the device called a Tracki. Check them out on Amazon. They do cost money every month but if theft is a concern I would have an LTE/4g tracker under the deck of the scooter.
      Bonus: I use a 10mm thick Kryptonite chain when locking up the scooter, and I try to lock it in front of other people and in front of cameras!
      Hope this helps!

    I agree with you 100%, as far as not having foldable handlebars on a fast electric scooter. That to me is just a recipe for disaster when riding at such a high speed. That's the very reason, why I changed the foldable handlebar on my scooter. I don't own the Vsett 10. I have an off-brand from China. I am on the market for an upgrade scooter. I am seriously considering the Vsett 10. But, as you mention, that foldable handlebar needs to go. And, that issue with the volt also gives me a reason to pause. The other potential problem for me might be the weight. My current scooter is a beast. Coming in at 105lbs. It wouldn't be an issue for me, if not for the fact that I live in a third-floor walkup. Would you say the Vseet 10 is manageable, weight-wise? Great video. I like the honest review. You have a new sub.

    Awesome review. Bought the 20.8ah version earlier this week after buying a ninebot max g30p, 4 weeks ago. Speed hacked it same day and got it to 36kph. It is very scary. The max is great scooter though for the range and durability, especially can actually handle rain and puddles, gentle off roading and on grass. OK, back to the v10+. I started off with the weakest settings and I'm like okay. It's cool. Cranked it up to 5 and alright. That's pretty good and then I realized, I didn't try the dual motor button yet. Standing strait (my mistake), I almost popped a wheelie and ripped my arms off. Lol I tried sport mode and all of a sudden, I hit 49kph by accident. Stable but super scary for me. The only safety gear I have is a bike helmet. Staying under 40kph as much as I can. Feels safe and plenty fast. I bought it for the power and acceleration. Speed is a bonus. I weigh about 130lbs too. Even going 10kph, the tires can still spin out a bit. When the no name battery (supposedly good Chinese quality battery according to retailer) dies, I'll build my own. Definitely be looking for information about that. V10+ makes my ninebot look and perform like a toy, but glad I put 250km on it and learned a few things about escooters before upgrading to a real scooter. Lol

      @@TheRealElectricOutdoors This scooter is savage! It's awesome. I can scoot like a turtle or dominate. Fastest I did was 57kph on new asphalt. Had the infamous speed wobble. But in part, I believe is my abilities. After 2hrs of none stop riding, my arms, especially hands got really tired and got speed wobble at 40kph, which should not exist for me. I can cruise at 40kph all day long and feel comfortable... But not after 2 hrs of riding and 58kms later.

      If you look closely (to the left of my right grip, and to the right of my left grip)
      There are my turn signals yellow electrical taped right to the bars, they are just small micro switches with a wire that come right out of the originals, tape or glue or silicone them to your bars and your good to go!

    I have the vsett+10 R 28amp model and the blade GT. I notice this vsett suspension it feels more comfortable riding it then my blade GT, Absorbs the bumps better then my GT. I did had to replace the front of the tire, something gouged it badly don't know what did it lol. Im close to 700 miles on it what surprised me the most is how I still didn't have to replace the brake pads for new ones, the brakes on my vsett is called vsett so I'm assuming maybe thats like zoom brakes. One issue I found out about it months ago is how the folding handle bar folding mechanism that's like yellow color would loosen up on its own and not be tight but luckily the handle bars don't be wobbling when that happens I can still ride it fast with confidence. It be cool if it did have the vsett LED logo on the side of the deck like my vsett 11+. I hope vsett company makes vsett with a 72 volt battery that's about the same weight as this vsett10+ I geuss I say mid class scooter. There's already a scooter thats called bluetran that weighs about 88 pounds I think with a 72 volt battery the first scooter in the market that's light weight with a 72 35 ah battery.

    • @TheRealElectricOutdoors
      @TheRealElectricOutdoors  Před 2 lety +2

    Did you ever do the 1000mile review? I just bought this scooter and it’s pretty awesome. I already crashed on it and then I hit a pretty good size pothole which cracked the rear rim. Had to replace the whole motor. I think you need to be careful on the type of roads you are riding on for sure, especially with the PMT fire tires. But man this scooter can move!

    • @TheRealElectricOutdoors
      @TheRealElectricOutdoors  Před měsícem +1

      I didn’t. I sold it with I think like 1200 on it or 1400 or so? It really ran great though the entire time besides the things mentioned in the video.
      I also know there are different iterations of this scooter that were released over time, if you purchased yours in the last 8 months the quality of the controllers and the motors have dropped substantially. It’s kind of sad honestly.
      Regarding pmt tires, I now ride a wolf king gt almost everyday and have about 3500 miles on it, uhhhh truly honestly- I don’t think pmt tires are worth it for everybody. Especially with the reduced range at proper psi on any scooter.
      However if you really ride these things and do things like cornering at 40+ and just overall really use the machine- they are absolutely worth it. They also last much much longer than the standard tires. (In the case of my wkgt anyway, I never used pmts on my vsett)
      I hope this helps man. Feel free to ask me any other questions.
      PS- even though the quality may be reduced in motors and controllers recently on the vsett10+, cracking the motor from a pot hole could have only been avoided (POSSIBLY) by having very low psi in your tires.
      I have hit a 2 foot hole and did a 50mph wheelie over it on my WKGT and it absolutely demolished the rear axel threads of the scooter- which are locked and irreplaceable inside of the rear motor.
      My father and I decided to die tap the axel to a smaller nut and use a better quality lug on it. Been holding up great.
      But yeah, accidents like that can and will happen. Keep up with maintenance and wear your helmet and have fun man :) thanks for the comment.

    Hey bro thx for the totally awesome review. Pulled the trigger 28ah It just arrived with the latest batch from China. It's a great machine, but yeah those issues you talked about are still present, not deal breakers. I switched out the bar day one (it's 31.8mm diameter for those wondering). Maybe there is a fix coming for that annoying blinker issue, we all hate it. And did anyone else get defective wobbly tires, I've searched not many peeps are happy with the stock tires I'm going with hybrids. Flats on street tire was a regular problem on my last Apollo sled.
    Also do you know if there way to check which battery you have, my range for 28ah is questionable?? 75km/45miles mostly one motor, slightly punchy on the throttle, 190lbs. The book says 185km so not even close?

    Great video! What would you recommend between the Klima, Victor Luxury, Dualtron Achilles, and the Mantis GT PRO, all in the same price range? I weigh 155 pounds and I currently own the Apollo Ghost, which is a great scooter but lacks in speed and range. I can go about 38 mph and 25 miles of range full sending it. I am considering buying the Vsett, but I am concerned that I may tire of the yellow color after a while lol

      I’ve seen some painted vsett they are very very dope.
      To be honest, I would sell your ghost second hand and buy a wolf king GT pro.
      It’s just the king man. Check out my other videos about it,
      But the vsett probably has the best build quality IMO out of the scooters you’ve mentioned,
      I would stay away from dualtron until they rerelease all their scooters with new updated controllers and throttles (they are already in production but will not release until stock is low enough on all previous models)
      The mantis GT pro is just not a great value.
      Unless portability is a massive concern for you, to be honest my man I would go with the Wolf Warrior X GT or if you can spring it the Wolf warrior 11.
      I’m a massive fan of the dual forks after riding a lot of these scooters very erratically through busy city’s.
      Nevertheless- the vsett10+ would NOT dissapoint you for the money. I would definently buy the 25ah version.

    I watched this video last year and i did some research since (and i just landed on this video again lol) then and found that while you're correct with your raw speed test, having a bigger battery would give a little more juice because it has more headroom to throw more amps. So really you could have been going even faster on a bigger one. Btw did you get a newer central display for it? How's the scooter since a year ago?

    • @TheRealElectricOutdoors
      @TheRealElectricOutdoors  Před rokem

      No sorry, whether you have the 20ah the 25ah or the 28ah battery, it is still a 60 volt system. You would need more power to the motors from the controller to be faster. Not a higher amp hour battery. Truly the amp hours is strictly for range improvement. And I sold the scooter at about 1500 miles or so it was great up until then besides what was mentioned in the video, and yes I am an affiliate with revrides and have seen the new display release! Looks very cool however I think it should have been a free upgrade to all previous and new VSETT owners.

    I will get a 25Ah model, because of the LG cells. 2nd hand there was only another option with the "chinese" 20,8Ah battery and just 100€ cheaper.
    The seller has upgraded many parts with better ones, adjustable steering damper, a few parts even custom machined and he did a nice "conversion" from Vsett+ design, which is very loud screaming to cops "illegal" in our area to a nearly perfect replica of a "IOHAWK" model which are typically 25km/h and legal. its basically just side panels/logo carriers and the frame-model they are based on is the same. Like this its a wolf in a sheep fell we would say in austria/german, haha!
    Im only driving so far a cheap 2nd hand scooter with (going bad) 48V 10Ah battery and 1000W single motor (40-49 km/h).
    I miss a lot torque for hillclimbing and little offroad parts, the (partially damaged...) suspension works at best ok for the road and is super annoying offroad or at bad roads, and after nearly 10k km on it, this scooter is "done", especially with the abusing i did and the very weak going battery. Bearings are going bad, the whole suspension mechanism front and back feels bad, squeak a lot, wobble a bit already etc, so this scooter is just done! 300€ i would have to pay for a 14Ah replacement battery and the scooter is "too much used/abused" already to be somehow reasonable to pay for a new battery. Would need like 100-200€ for new suspension, 50-100€ for new bearings, a new motor (100-200€ as well?!) would be also great since it lost noticeable power/torque after many continous full throttle rides. All in all, a proper repair and battery replacement would be about the price of a newer, better scooter.
    At least from those nearly 10k km on it i was driving like 8k km on it (within a year!), meanwhile the seller drove like 2k km within 3 years.

      Hey Bal, If youve never ridden an electric scooter before this VSETT10+ might be a bit much for you. They can absolutely be care replacements however there is a few things why you wouldnt want to:
      you cant carry as much as u could in a car, they are much more strenuous to drive for long distances than a car, they are far less safe, and the range isnt as good as a car would be.
      I would replace a car with an E bike possibly if you live in the right situation,
      however you could totally replace a car with an e scooter if everything you need is within 5-10 miles from your house and your in a city, and dont carry much on trips from grocery stores ect. Maybe i will make a video comparing replacing car with an e bike or an e scooter.
      Hope this helps!! Please subscribe and be on the look out for more videos!!! check out the scooter i found thats 1200$ that is literally almost as good as this one , video is on my channel. it might be the VSETT10+ KILLER! hahaha.

    Why can scooters go so fast and bikes are limited to 28?

    • @TheRealElectricOutdoors
      @TheRealElectricOutdoors  Před 2 lety +2

      Define Why:
      Do you mean, as in legally on the street?
      Do you mean, physically why do they go faster for the money?
      Your bike is limited to 28mph because it is law. There is 3 classes of E bikes in the US, (and most of the world)
      a class 3 is a pedal assited (allowed throttle) up to 28 mph.
      scooters regulation hasnt quite caught up with selling/manufacturing yet, (nor is there laws to govern such activity YET)
      In the future i think electric scooter laws will be introduced and well more heavily enforced.

    Good review but …..
    Advice: when your on a ecooter or ebike, obey all the traffic laws. In things video I see all kinds of traffic laws being broken. This is going to lead to very restrictive legislation from law makers towards the e-scooter and e-bike community. Don’t do what the person in this video is doing, obey the rules. This is going to ruin it for everyone. 1. E-scooters do not belong in the car lanes, 2. Red light violations don’t just apply if you’re inside a car.
