**Hello all!** First disclaimer: when the rear door bumps out, it can't go back in unless it is moved. But as you can see at 5:30 in the video, if you do move it out of that bumped position, it can now go back to closing. To me, this leaves the possibility of pinched fingers. Door handles eliminate that, which IMO is worth the tiny sacrifice in drag. Why do the front doors get handles but the rears don't, if handles aren't useful? Your opinion may differ! That's fine too! Next week I'll have a comparison of this Mach-E vs my Model 3, and include differences vs Model Y, and that will also include a driving portion of the Mach-E. Happy New Year everyone!

I think I saw a review where the front doors have that bump lock out feature also, but yes, that's a recall waiting to happen especially considering kids are going to be using those rear seats.

According to Ford they asked parents and kids to open the back doors with door handles and exactly zero kids used the door handle and 90% of adults did the same. That’s why on the inside of the door there is a rubber pad for your fingers.

I recently rode in a Grand Cherokee and to adjust things like temperature you had to click thru other menus to get to it and then if you wanted to switch back to things like infotainment, you had to go back thru it. I HATE that. I want there to be as little fidgeting around as possible. I actually might prefer the non touch screen, control with a small dial control in a super convenient spot like right by the center console armrest. Great review of an interesting new vehicle. Having worked in the fuel ethanol production industry for a portion of my career, I always got the "it takes more energy to make than it gives" argument (which is far from true) back in the day. I always said "we've had about 20 years to optimize our process while the oil guys have had 150. We've made tremendous process optimizations of the ethanol process and the car people are doing the same in that there's now an arms race of sort to get these e-cars sorted.
On a separate note, my eyes kept coming back to the wide flange beam in the garage with no fire protection, either spray on or 2x's, on it.

The filming style is fine for good quick info as long as you don't start doing too much of them. We like your in-depth whiteboard videos as well as your driving review videos. A nice balance of all the different styles of videos you've done is my recommendation. That keeps it from seeming like the same old thing on every video. Plus keep up the teaching and learning part of it.
