48:21 the Mustache heals you everytime you buy an item not has a chance to heal when you use an item. It's pretty good under condition where the vampire is present and you can just buy half hearts for basically free and it guarantees that you can use you money towards something else other than health.

I don’t quite understand Junkan. He is hard to get and even harder to upgrade to a useful level, because it makes you sacrifice chest that you really need. Because he gives and takes like that he cannot belong any higher than the «okay» tier.

Springheel boots are my favorite item, you can dodge any attack, you can increase the length/range of your dodge or change it's direction and they're super fun to use
they most definitely are my favorite as well! the first time i ever beat a past i had that. i also have clone but i’m gonna assume it was all the boots. i love springheld boots

The biggest crime of this tierlist was the placement of Liquid valkyrie and bloody eye
Having 20% more time to react can be gamewinning
I have 100%'d the game, and I never had issues with those items being detrimental to my ability to dodge knowsn patterns
I mean it totally makes the bell toll of the mine flayer torture for me since it lasts like an eternity when it is 20% longer and the the circles are out of synch
And if you slow down enemy bullets too much, you might not be able to dodge the Wallmonger's big bursts of bullets

I understand this is a joke, but for those who are curious: the value it provides is too ludicrous to ignore due to the fact that it impacts you longer than a room. The reason the rest suck imo is because the effect happens and is over in a second, and often isn't when you need it, the ammo stays with you and impacts _every_ gun.
The ammolets are unappreciated on how broken they actually can get if you get daruma, elder blank, the owl, blank bullets or the mini blank companion and maybe table tech blank. Even if the item's blank out small radius of bullets the effects are still roomwide so if you just shoot a wall with blank bullets with a high fire rate weapon you can basically kill everyone in the room with ammolet effects or at least stun them.
My first win was a couple amolets, elder blank, daruma, fullmetal jacket and a couple gun knight pieces among other things i was literally invincible
I remember the Paradox run I did before finally unlocking Gunslinger was carried by the Clown Mask's blanking familar and the Gold Ammolet. Gave me a free room nuke without the drawbacks of Big Boy.
superhot watch is lowkey busted, just gives you infinite reaction time, but it is kinda annoying out of combat

@@hoodless_1 It's in my personal category of "Guns and items that are so good that the run can be considered completed and I restart it/don't pick them up and move on" category.
It's funny how back when I was a newbie, I would constantly pray and thank the gods if I finally found something OP that can basically clear the game for me, now I actually prefer much more mellowed down stuff that is good, but also requires you to pull your own weight, because winning effortlessly whilst barely moving a muscle is just not fun after a certain while.
Bloodied scarf can be god tier fighting Resourceful Rat/Lich. It makes previously really precise timings into an absurdly easy walk in the park.
So while listening to this I FINALLY beat the Gungeon Rat Punch Out and got his back story, and with the three keys I got the last of the weapons and items I needed for the Finished Gun. I have FINALLY 1 to 100 Enter the Gungeon with all the achievements after 170 hours of play! Thank you so much for all the help!
1:35:10 but spice inherently gives you more spice. Part of the item is that it will show up more and more. Not including that is like saying you can’t put 7 leaf clover high because you might not get enough keys or only get bad high tier items. By picking up one spice you are going to be picking up more.

1:35:50 easy reload bullets and the crown look like they are combining to form gilded bullets
The only time I've had gun soul be good was on a run where I also had lament, allowing me to grind charges in the first room of the floor until it gave me something strong enough to help carry the run
You can also get infinite coolness with gun soul + cigarettes. If you kill yourself with the cigarettes on the first room of the floor, you can keep picking up the gun soul and infinitely activate cigarettes until you get max coolness.
Only drawback is that you have half a heart, until you get a health drop or heal. Although, with max coolness, health drops come very frequently. Abeclancy had a couple runs with this exact scenario.
try to find a synergy teir list! I think it will be cool.

After watching your gun video, I played some gungeon. I got a banger supreme (Glass Cannon) and I was so excited! Then I realised that it breaks when you take damage :/. BUT THEN! I beat the first and second bosses without damage! It was epic. Sadly i died to these weird glitched beholsters from a glitched chest. Thanks for the second video
to be honest, I do consider Super Hot Watch to be one of the best items in EtG just basing on the fact that the only run that didn't have that item in which I actually have defeated more than the 1st phase of the Lich was a rainbow run in which I got Makeshift Cannon and Ancient Hero Bandanna
Super Hot Watch becomes less useful the better you are at the game. For a newish player, it can be a gamewin item, while for a much more experienced and seasoned player it can even be detrimental due to how slow it makes the game.
Super hot watches are the definition of "slow but sure". Literally makes the game an easy shitty version of SUPERHOT

Hey Retro thanks so much for this! There's so many things in the game and you seem to know your shit. This has vastly improved my gameplay 47 minutes into watching. Now when I see a great item I'm like, "Oh that's a banger!"
Managed to beat the dragun for the first time while watching this video. Plowed through rooms with akey-47 and origuni with stout bullets, ghost bullets, and bouncy bullets. Handled bosses with science cannon, which with bouncy did great dps. Only managed to bring the planar lead, though. Can’t figure out how to do the mines without a flying item.

The best use of the watch is to survey the room. Walk in, and stand there for a second to come up with a plan, then you can play normally. You could cheese with it, but that should really be done in boss rooms where time counts.
Bumping down Spice on the basis that it sould only be considered as a single drop is pretty arbitrary. Of course one Spice isn't a banger, it's just one Spice. The whole point of it is to get lots of it. If you get one Spice, you expect to get several. Comparing that to ranking two items highly together is a bad comparison because they aren't the same thing. Spice is a high banger, possibly supreme, without question.
Yea because spice even replaces items and that effect keeps stacking till you have eaten 4 spice which at that point the replacing effect is at it's strongest

With sprun can't you just:
Player uses their last blank. (Test looking for secret room)
Player takes damage to hearts. (get hit if no armor, wait until armor gone or one of the last things to test if you have armor)
Player loses their last piece of armor. (Wait until it triggers naturally or is one of the last things to test)
Player goes down to half a heart. (Test last)
Player's gun runs out of ammo. (Fire all remaining ammo at a wall when you get an ammo refill)
Player is set on fire. (set yourself on fire)
Player takes damage from electrocution or poison. (Try to get damaged by one of these, idk how hard that is I started playing a few days ago)
Player falls into a pit. (Fall into a pit, again idk anything past 3rd floor but I assume there are lots of pits)
Player flips a table. (Probably first one to test)
Player uses an active item. (use a rechargeable active item, maybe non-rechargeable if one of the last things to test)
It seems like once you have the gun you just win automatically win since it has 450 dps inf. range inf. ammo and perfect accuracy.

I'm new to this channel and just now realized after watching a few other videos that he's been saying "rogue-likes and more" instead of roblox and more". That makes a lot more sense since this guy is actually entertaining rather than a lot kids entertainer
considering the fact that i cannot beat the second floor because of some magic curse set upon me for no damn reason, this video is great and i totally understand why you think what you think about certain items.
heavy boots have never helped me but they do stop me from coasting explosions. So what I do is I walk up to a grenade boy, he jumps at me, and then I roll into him. I go flying in a vaguely opposite direction. Heavy boots says no to this and I do not like it
we dont rate junkan on his efficiency, we rate his for his unbreakable spirit and friendship
It's a bit difficult to not get the Knife shield broken over time in a floor, but the fast reload makes more like a general active item, that you can use everywhere. Deffo worth the curse.

Man, hip holster can be real broken. I Got: Mass Shotgun + Hot Lead + Hip Holster = BROKEN COMBO!
I've gotten the finished gun for a while, and then I started doing custom runs (mod the gungeon still works wonders in farewell to arms), And one of the most surprising ones I've had is to replace every item with blank bullets, then all the ammolets, then all the blank-related items (except fullmetal jacket, it's rly not needed). When those run out, I just game me scattershot and backup gun, Ant then I perfected the dragun and the lich cause it ended up being ridiculously powerful. gold ammolets stack, So you can get multiples of that.
It was also how I discovered the elder blank bullets synergy, one of the best ones IMO.
long story short, blank bullets gud.
Bosses ranked would be cool, I made a tier list for bosses awhile back you could use.

fat bullet's give a 30% damage up and +1 gives a 25% damage up and fat bullet increases bullet size which is kind of an accuracy up so I would rate it higher than +1 bullet
It also has 2 downsides, ammo down and imo double knockback

i actually like using melted rock a lot. it has a very short cooldown. so like, you kill one enemy, blow him up. and the active is up again in literally 2 seconds. you can use it all the time.
i have a special place in my heart for lament. In one run, I got seven leaf, ancient hero’s, riddle of lead, and yari launcher from it. My best run ever

i personally think that the items matter much more than the guns, dont get me wrong, the guns are important, but with the right items, your starter can become a godslayer.
If we're including the glitches it has as well than FMJ And grappler should be number 1 since they literally give you godmode if used right

Hip holster is really good for Winchester’s game. It’s how I got myself the seven leaf clover today. And got some lich unlocks. Because of the clover.

This is just my personal opinion, and I appreciate the list, but I would have preferred multiple lists, ranking items against other items in its own rarity tier. Not only would it have made it more clear the true value of each item, but it would have made it easier to digest, rather then stuffing every item in the entire game into one vid, and making it two hours long, make several 25 min vids.But seriously I appreciate the vid, and if you ever consider making another tier list for whatever reason, i think it would be cool to do it like how I suggested.
Magazine rack + makeshift cannon = one run
as a new player the health ups are defiantly banger
the jetpack deserves to be higher. If you are using the pilot, who gives you 2 active item slots, and you get the broken television, the jetpack paired with the broken television basically guarantees that the broken television will make it to the 5th floor, and therefore unlocking the robot.
Robot is already not hard to unlock, and niche usage to make a one time event slightly easier doesn’t make the item much better overall.
Ibomb can detonate the Flayer's mines and the montain cubes

You should rate spice as multiple items because picking it up makes it very likely that you'll find more, just like you did with the clown mask...
An item taking up your active slot that only has a couple niche uses is absolutely bottom tier
Bloodied scarf is great for room clear but against bosses it’s so bad, in my opinion it would be better as an active item with a short cooldown, so you retain the ability to dodge roll but you can still have the affect of teleporting to your cursor when you want to
Grappling hook kinda does the same, except going through walls
I don't really see why Ration would be on the same level as Medkit. The only times where it could be even remotely better is either if the player is on just 1 or 2 Hearts for some reason (so you can squeeze an extra half-heart out of it by taking advantage of its death mechanic) or if the player is just really, really forgetful.
Whenever I see it, I just end up feeling disappointed. I'd personally rate it "not good", but it's definitely not "good".

Omega can be better cause a lot of guns have a special ending clips (and as this work with bullets we can use that example)

Tbh, I would have ranked gun soul lower than all the other heart containers since it gives you magnificence. Also, I don't think it's possible to use it's ability efficiently. If you died on this particular floor one heart most likely won't save, neither will the fact that it doesn't return you any ammo forcing you to waste your supplies on the same rooms you've cleared before.

I bomb companion app can destroy the big sliding ice block guys which is very specific but if you struggle with those guys it's pretty nice

With primer in my pocket I died to fucking WALL boss, hands down. Looking on dying screen and I was OMG what is going on?!!! I DID NOT Know that he can sacrifice for you! I stood heart broken with tears in my eyes. While he was helding his last litter breath I told him: I finish this run for your honor. And gusess what? Died to next few rooms Just before the forge...

hey, why the big discrepancy between orange/weird egg and medkit? the heal effects are pretty similar
question, why is gundromeda strain considered so good and an s tier item because it enemies take 25% more damage, when increasing damage by 25% would effectively do the same thing? (+1 bullets which is a c tier item)
because it also is one of the only ways to bypass damage cap on the boss, which is pretty major in this game due to the win-more nature of master rounds
