  • C Webb is in the building! He’s the man who’s always been at the center of the culture - from his star-studded AAU team to the legendary Fab Five years to his 15-year run in the league. The Midwest legend begins by breaking down his insanely stacked AAU teams and explaining the wild Midwest basketball culture he thrived in while growing up. Then it’s all about Michigan and the Fab Five. The boys who defined college basketball at the time. He gets into the baggy shorts and the buzz cuts, what that ride to fame as a group of college friends was like, and how painful it was experiencing losses in back-to-back championship games. Then he chats post-college, how his mother creatively helped him get over The Timeout, and how the draft process saw him through some hard times. From there, the guys take turns imagining what a C Webb-Shaq duo would’ve done to the basketball world, and Chris gives the backstory of why Shaq pushed for Penny Hardaway. It all worked out, as C Webb linked up with part of Run TMC in Golden State and snatched Rookie of the Year. He goes on to explain his Godfather-like contract, which allowed him to be a free agent after his first season, and what sent him to the East to reunite with Juwan Howard in D.C. The guys then get into C Webb’s finding out that he’d been traded to Sacramento ... while in a grocery store, and why he was so adamant about not wanting to play there. Things changed fast, though, as teammates made him love it there and his arrival led to the Kings’ most successful stretch. C Webb then touches on the final years of his career, what it was like to play with AI in Philly, and what he’s been doing since he retired, including growing his collection of African-American artifacts and teaching a master’s class at Wake Forest. We see you, Professor! C Webb has truly done it ALL. From the game of basketball to the game of life, Chris Webber is a hands-down inspiration. Tune IN!

When I was into sports heavy, Chris Webber was my favorite player. When I lived in Pontiac, MI., My Uncle and I would watch Michigan games together while He would go through a pack of cigarettes...saying the Fab Five always make the games tight. This episode had great pacing. Salute!!!

Facts. I feel the same way about Brandon Marshall. They need to find a way to just be conversational while on air as opposed to trying to sound professional. They just do to much at work but are mad cool & interesting when being authentic.... IMO

Forreal, I know I know I might get shit for this, but he is annoying asf on TV... I mean the dude KEEPS TAKING NON STOP. A player will run down the court and he’ll be like “Yeah he was really fast as a 8 year old” and talk about it for 10 minutes straight, but he is a good person tho.

Salute to Knuckle heads for getting C Webb to sit and talk for 2 hours, Its Great to hear his Perspective and reflections on his path and Career. Most Def should be in the Hall of Fame. I agree Big Ten basketball was that move back in the day he made reference to that 89 Fighting Illini Squad and UNLV being the teams they patterned they games in college after. over all this was a dope interview

I’m a senior citizen now.I met Mr. Chris Webber outside of the players entrance when he played for The Washington Wizards. I attended the game with my nine year old son. He was a “Junior Bullet.” Chris signed my book written about the Fab Five. He had the biggest Mercedes I had ever scene. Nice young man. Chris,Jalen, and Juwan don’t age, they have a full head of hair with a hairline. They are truly blessed. Thank you Chris!

That team was so cool very flashy very fast always like to have fun Doug Christie Good defense beefing with the LA Lakers I really really believe they got cheated by Lakers bad ass big shot from Robert Horry I really believe it that was a crazy game we’re not getting no place or nothing like that when I get a no foul

Eventhough I was a Fav 5 fan my man mentioned Calbert Chaney. He was a dawg at Indiana under Bobby Knight. I didn't realize that they were coming up together. Much respect to Chris Webber for being man that he was then. Like my man said, "I was salty as hell" too when they lost.
