The Corn Is Gone
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 18. 08. 2019
- It's been a year since we filled the barn with picked corn, and the corn is finally gone! But now we are out of feed. Luckily it's almost time to pick and combine again soon. đ„ł
In other news, my girl and I had a day to ourselves, my boy got stick shift driving lessons and we got a new corn head for the combine. Stay tuned as I "help" fix the gleaner in the next video...that's the plan, anyway. đ Thanks for being here, y'all! You're the best viewers on CZcams! (Because I said so. đ)

Hi! I'm a farm wife, mama to two and coffee addict - raking my way through life on the farm, inviting you along. I believe all of our stories matter and that they all relate more than we think.
My husband, two children and I work and live on a beef cattle operation in Milton, NC on the Central NC/VA line. No two days are the same around here and I use this vlog to show the good, the bad, the hard and the rewarding we find in this life. If you like what you see, I'd love for you to subscribe and tell a friend who might enjoy, as well. This community is growing and I love interacting with you all. Farm hard, live well.

I like the farmer too. I think he is so cool. In fact I like the whole family. Meredith makes me smile. I love the way she expresses herself.
Meredith.
Thank You very much for the videos and the singing by the river with the kids playing in the water. Please Take Care of your self Plus Be Very Care Full around all Farm Equipment and in the river too.đ€đđ€
I really enjoyed this one. Your son learning to drive, you and your daughter having a day together, beautiful singing, the dan river, and your husband explains things just the way a farmer should.
Thank you!âșïž
A few words come to mind about your homestead. Beautiful, Enchanting, Driven, Exhausted, Lucky, Jacks of all Trades, Smart, Real, Priceless!!!! Look out Lizzy!!!!
Who is Lizzy? Lol :P
@@ThisFarmWife_ Thought you might ask, check out Lizzy Hale ! HA! Thanks for responding and thanks for letting us into your routine!!
I love it. When he was shifting into reverse right next to Bonnie's nose - she didn't move a millimeter. She knew Exactly where she could be and still be clear of that shift lever.
You have a great singing voice sunshine. Try making a country girl CD. Mrs. Meredith ; ).
Wow!! I,ve been watching for a while.....you surprised me with the beautiful singing voice.
Gotta give the farmer credit for taking care of his equipment. It wilk last forever the way he maintains it all
Farmers have the greatest man-toys! All the trucks, tractors, trailers, rakes, combines, ATVs and a bunch of things this city slicker has no idea what they are.
The Farmer is a man of few words, but he sure didn't mind talking about how he re-built that wagon. I like how he reinforced the corners with angle. Nice work.
Back in the 1940's, I learned to drive in a 1936 1 1/2 ton International truck on a farm. I like to see children the age of your son having the experience of learning to drive at his age on a farm like I did.. Memories he will have forever. Love your channel. Keep up the good work.
I think Lawrence is warming up to the camera bit little by little! Your family brings much joy to me. Wesley is a natural machine operator, he catches on quickly to anything it seems. Thanks for sharing your farm life with us!
Lawrence did a great job on repairing the silage wagon, never would have known it had been repaired if he hadn't pointed out what all he did. You should grace us with your beautiful singing more often. I have to admit the look on your face when your son dumped the clutch on the Suzuki had me laughing, I learned to drive on a stick shift as well. That is something neither one of you will forget and you are a great teacher, and he is a natural just get him to use the mirrors more when backing rather than looking over his shoulder. Can't wait to see the gleaner eating some corn. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on 20k subs.
there is a faint rainbow above the kids at the river while in the water.. you was singing beautifully..
Good Morning Beautiful Family.
your son is shifting great, by the time he is sixteen he will be driving everything you all (yâall) own. very nice watching all that you do . a daily watcher''

I like all your videos but this one was so awesome. I was wanting to hear more singing. So nice! Thanks for sharing the rural American life. It's as good as it gets. A gift from God. đ
THanks for saying so!
Isn't it great to grow up and raised kids on a farm.. watching your son took me back when I learned to drive a stick and when I learned all my kid's to drive. My youngest just turned 20 yesterday.. they grow to fast .. take it from someone who knows. Spend as much time as you can... Y'all live a whole lot like we did.. it's a great Life... God speed
Nothing like a southern belle! â
Thank You folks for sharing.
YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL VOICE THAT GOES WITH YOUR BEAUTY !! YOU ARE SUCH A GREAT PARENT TO YOUR CHILDREN THEY ARE SO BLESSED

There is nothing better than the smell of a horse on green grass. They are wonderful. Yes, to bottle the perfume of the equine would be divine.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine You make me happy, when skies are grey You'll never know dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away. My mom would sing this to me when I was a little boy. This episode brought back such fond memories to me. My dad taught me how to drive on the farm when I was 8 years old. You are such a wonderful mother, and have great kids. When they grow older, these will be the memories they treasure the most. Thanks Meredith.

Here here, I second that. Such was the beautiful setting, I was hoping that she would just keep on going.
Nice lady, grumpy old man. She sure made that song sound so sad.
I started driving in the hay field when I was 6, well not driving , steering my father's tractor trailer . I started actually driving at 10 like your son.
Great times, great memories.

Another wonderful slice of your life, always incredibly varied, mostly exciting, always necessary duties, you ALL work so well together, I know he doesn't want to, but I wish I could hear Lawrence better, especially his one liners, he sure does appreciate your's and your son's help, does Lawrence ever laugh at your jokes?even with all the work, wonderful you can still have fun times, your son is taking more steps getting involved, that's fantastic, Merdie, you have an incredible voice, I'd enjoy hearing you sing more, if you've ever a mind to, thanks AGAIN for bringing us along

The Dan River is beautiful. Great to have it on the property -- if you can avoid flooding. Great to have the children enjoy the water -- as do the dogs. Love your singing, Meredith!! Please do it more often. - Dean from Minnesota

We are all blessed that have found your familyâs stories thank you
Thanks Keith! That means a lot to me!
How can I thank you? You sang! You did not disappoint! Such a beautiful voice!! Thank you so much.
You're welcome!
Reminds me of when I learned to drive on the farm around 11yo. Except my "teacher" was not as patient as you Meredith. LOL. He gave me 1 chance to mess up, after that I had to be perfect. It is awesome to see you spend quality time with each of your family members. That will fondly be remembered by your children I am sure. Keeping it real! Glad to see you over 20K subscribers! Congratulations!
What I learned today: When you're inspecting your corn and you decided it looks good. Close the deal and conversation with, "Alrighty then." Perfect closure.
Yeah, I remember Tamera (stepmomother) n I teaching my son to drive the stick shift in her 83 Suzuki. ( 4-speed ). He mastered it in three (3) days and immediately volunteered to drive to the country store whenever we needed anything. He was sixteen (16) at the time. He could drive automatic, because thatâs what was in the garage at his stepfather n mothers home when he got his learners permit. I taught Tamera how to drive a tractor trailer rig ( car hauler of 8-9 cars ), so I could slip into the sleeper for naps, while she drove on the major state thruways. Growing up stages of life for one and all...!
Mother daughter time always funđ
Congratulations Meredith for Your 20.000 subs. And I'm glad to be one of them. Soon you'll reach 100000 in no time. đđ
My brother in-law who passed away about three months ago was full of one liners like your Husband. My favorite of his was, "Love you like a fat kid loves cake."
Hahaha thatâs funny. Iâm sorry for your loss!
It is what it is!
always a pleasure. seems ol farmer is loosnin up a little in the spotlight.
As a lover of gear jaming. its awesome to see another generation learn the art of the stick shift...i started on an old Ford farm truck with "3 on the tree".. good job young man..

Pretty little girl growing up . Good luck with new corn head looking forward too watch
Always enjoy your videos
Your husband is an excellent machine operator! Once again, excellent video!
nice singing great video ty
Awesome voice and itâs amazing what water will do in a big rain. Your kids are growing up in the best possible way. Itâs been my experience that farm and ranch kids are usually great adults since animals teach a great many valuable lessons.
I wish all children could experience farm life.
