I live in Michigan and never seen grilled cheese crackers! All I drink is tea! Girl go ahead and cry! Babies grow up so fast! Mine are grown and even my grandbabies are growing up way to fast! I remember when my babies moved out! I was depressed for years after that! They are in their thirties now and I still miss them being home like crazy! Watching you with the horses brings back such good memories for me! I miss the farm and horses! I now live in a one bedroom apartment because I'm disabled and have a hard time getting around! I love living life through your videos! Brings back such good memories for me! Been following you from the beginning of your channel! I can't believe how time flies by! Keep up the awesome videos and forget about the jerks that say different! Your awesome and so is your family and videos!

My parents had no problem with me leaving home. As a matter of fact, they threw me out and ran me off.
Your children are so very fortunate to be wanted. (and I think they know it)
While I know that it is time consumimg, all those windows need are just the old caulking removed and new placed on. Easy to do, just takes time. Plus it helps to keep air leaks from getting in/out.
You are so very blessed to have a son that is a hard worker, believes in God and very talented. I have dealt with my son on drugs since he graduated high school and he is now 36 years old. I pray constantly for him. I know you said it's hard for you because he's growing up and leaving home. There is a lot of mothers like myself praying for their children to get off drugs. I don't mean to sound mean and I'm not, but you are very blessed.
He will find a sweet lady and start a family! Lots of great places on the farm for a new home! Keep family close to take care of all that matters! God be with you all.

Ommmmy goodness Merdi ! I know and feel your emotion honey about all of the changes looming up b4 you. Its normal to feel like you do dearest. Mamas all feel the transition. The feeling of being lost and emotional all of the time as separation looms up before us setting a new stage for life's changes and it isnt comfortable. Espeacially those of us that have spent every day and most of each day with our children ! And I remember the fear in my mother's eyes when I told my dad I needed his signature so I could join the Navy, I was only 17. Vietnam was a big deal at the time. And I remember pissing on soyboys just so they could smell like a man.

Window putty is cheap and really easy to replace actually. At 16 it becomes a greased hill to leaving the nest, basically feels like 1 day.
Roots to grow, wings to fly. You have raised your children well. And yes, it’s still absolutely hard ❤

Great Video Meredith, On Wesley, you are not losing him your relationship is just changing, treasure the fact you have been able to be his teacher, you are much closer to him that many other mother's, his moving on to higher education is excellent because he is clearly clever and needs the opportunity to grow his intellect, and qualifications, his roots will always be family and farm, I can see him being a mechanic or a farm merch rep, like his mother, his roots will always be farm family and country things, Use this time to grow closer to Austin, she is special, LB will be come much more dependant on you as he gets older, you will become his anchor and his buddy, LB will miss Wesley awfully, " if you love them let them go in many days they will return to you"

The golden years for parents are when they all can walk but none of them can drive. I went through teaching kids to drive nine times. My wife refused to ride with them until they were fairly competent drivers. Lol

Yes it’s hard to see kids move on as they become adults but you realize how well you raised them when they like to come to visit. Even though our farmhouse is over a hundred years old our one daughter says she will not let it be sold outside the family. Too many great memories she said!

Well Meredith, don't have any kids of my own but I've had an awful lot of friends and nieces and nephews and young people that have worked for me that have grown up and going away and it isn't easy. Some of those kids I felt like I had pretty near the experience of being their dad and loving them like they were mine. All you can do is pray for them and ask the Lord to keep them safe in the hollow of his hand

Those windows if not rotten just need some TLC, we use calling nowadays, just carefully remove the old putty and squeeze calking there and finish with a wet scraper knife .
Then give the wood some more paint and they good as new. Good job for Wesley. 😅

All of those wood frame windows are worth some money as long as all the glass is intact. People use them to make antique looking cabinets and those windows as the doors. Probably about 50 bucks apiece.

The windows just need caulked and that will seal them and take the wiggle out of the glass.
try some window glaze or putty easy to fix those windows last another 15 yrs with a coat of paint after new putty
Keep the windows just repoint them! Super simple to do then linseed oil the frames. You won't be happy with the modern junk made of plastic that dry rot in 7 years! I wish I had my old wooden windows back!

Ours are grown but I still want them close and our son is about 80 miles south of us and our baby girl is 50 miles north and our middle child is 10 minutes away and it drives me crazy we have a total of 8 biological grandbabies and 5 adopted grandbabies ❤

Unless you're looking at replacing all your windows with double pane energy saving glass. I had the same Windows you just take a razor blade cut out the old silicone caulking and just replace it with new silicone caulking another 50 years. If you do decide to replace all your windows with double pane energy saving glass. Definitely take the old windows and put them on a Craigslist people love to buy those things for outdoor decoration or even for greenhouses.
The windows just need to be pointed and glazed. Yes, new windows are better insulting but they are extremely expensive.

If you’re a mess with your baby turning 16, that day you become a grandma will be having you a total mess. I can still remember 24 yrs ago when my granddaughter was born, I think every emotion went through me, I remember them doing an epidural on my daughter, I’ve never had one all 6 of my children where born naturally, well Lu needed to have an emergency C section and watching that I almost passed out. lol ya not to emotional on that. 😂😂😂😂😂 but I today have this beautiful granddaughter and 5 more as well as 4 handsome grandsons. 10 in all, so ya it won’t get any easier with your baby’s. lol happy birthday Wesley, is Aug baby are the best one. lol

long story long on those mats. I guy from Michigan or Minnesota I think was down in your neck of the woods to buy a horse and noticed the mats used in horse stalls. I think he was a car salesman, anyway, he knew they would work in hockey rinks as the material doesn't dull the skates. at the time, hockey rinks just had plywood to walk on with skates, which dulls the skates. he made a deal on commission with the/a company that made the mats and sold them to every hockey rink in the U.S. made many millions. they are now the standard material used in hockey rinks around the world as flooring.

Find a place to either put in WERM flooring or Hoof grip…. It’s a permanent rubber floor never have to worry about pee in a trailer again.
They are called NABS because they were first made by the Nabisco company. Hope that helps.
