Apologies if you already mentioned and I missed it...but, can you take cuttings anytime it has leaves. Or just spring? Im wondering if I can do this in fall, after blooming? I'm in zone 6 Nova Scotia, Canada.

you don't need rooting hormone to propagate any hydrangeas. You can cut all the leaves off and keep the cuttings in 100% shade , water often

Guys. So glad to hear you’re having success with this. I’m having a difficult time with Annabelle’s and wondered if you have any suggestions. I’m having trouble with wilting. I’ve tried domes, plastic bins, mist, in all rooting medium peat/perlite, sand. Once I get em to stand up straight, they rot. I’m looking for that happy medium so I can finally see those wonderful roots! Would love any help. @howard977 would love to know if you use a special structure to provide 100% shade?? Thanks guys!!!

Greetings Mark. Have you done or have plans for a house tour? As an American, I’m fascinated with timberframe homes as they are known to be older than my country in some cases. Our house construction is purely driven by home builder profit with minimal (legal) consideration of durability. Just curious.
I enjoy your channel and look forward to progress updates.

Hi Michael. I hadn't considered a house tour really. I think the family here would be uncomfortable about me putting inside the house 'out there'. However, there are several National trust timber framed old houses. I may visit one soon and go inside to film. Mark

I didn't see where to cut it. Is there a certain point. Thanks

Just above where you see evidence of growth. Just above a leaf node where the leaves grow out sideways

Can you take hard wood cuttings while the plant is dormant.
