I'm in Kansas City, Missouri. I have had an Incrediball for 15 years and I love it. I wish the blooms would stay white longer. They have already turned green. I was wondering if you had a tip for keeping them white. Thank you for your great videos.
They look great. Thanks for sharing the information. What brand of Annabelle do you have?

Question! Do you EVER cut the woody stems off Annabelle’s? If so, just early spring or?
Sometimes I’ll give my Annabelle hydrangea a recharge pruning if it’s not giving me as many blooms . I will do this in late winter or very early spring . I’ll prune off about 1/3 of the plant
@@KellyLehman thank you for the reply! But I’m specifically asking about the wood sticks/stems. Do I cut those off once they’re just wood or does new growth come out of them?
Do Annabelles branch out? I.e. if I want to see a lot of volume, do I need to buy a few hydrangeas or will it produce enough branches to fill in? Thanks for the info!
Annabelle’s get pretty wide so look at the tag for spacing recommendations . Mine have about 4 feet between them but they also self propagate very easily since count on having lots of extra plants in the future . 🤗
@@KellyLehman I’m glad to hear that. Can’t wait to have extra Annabelle’s :)
Where do you cut a new stem coming out of an older brown one?
Great question. I cut the blooms right above a fresh set of green healthy leaves .
I usually leave the old wood in place
Oklahoma City ,ok. USA.
