Antarctica, a no man's land (English commentary)

Antarctica is really a « no man’s land » a completely desert planet where man can only survive. But Antarctica is also a ground unexposed to industrial pollution. A world of ice and rock belonging to animal species which have magnificently succeeded in adapting to this environment. This land has been the theatre of dreadful dramas during its conquest. Particularly the race between Scott and Amundsen. But recently, all sorts of activities such as tourism have appeared, with currently more than 35.000 visitors a year. Is that a real danger threatening this virgin continent ?

Merci Monsieur pour votre commentaire, mais rassurez-vous, seul 50% des prises de vue ont été faites par grand froid au Groenland, Antarctique, glacier de Chavière à 3000 mètres et dans les hautes fagnes Belge en hiver. Le reste a été fait en automne par une température agréable et devant un écran vert, en ajoutant ensuite de la neige artificielle avec un logiciel. Les effets spéciaux ont nécessité 6 mois de montage. La magie du cinéma.
