Bro I cried while watching this video,
4 years ago I fell in love with football, from then onwards I thought football is my life.
I kept practising day in day out, I never really knew the history of Indian football.
I simply kept dreaming that I would play, get scouted ,play for foreign leagues etc.
The older I became the more I realise how hard it is in India to become a footballer.
I always kept dreaming that I would help India lift the World Cup.
    At now present,
I never went to an academy because of family reasons
The first time I went to an academy ( without my parent’s permission) I defeated their u-19 team and scored 3 goals.
The coaches immediately asked me to join and I said I will have to convince my parents.
At that time I had my 9th exams and my family said no ( they needed a reason ) .
After my exams finished , even though I got 90% ,they were not satisfied,
And when I said the word “ football”
They scolded me and I cried.
    Again present,
My friend who goes to the gym gave me so much motivation that I decided I won’t quit football just like that and won’t live an ordinary life.
When I finally tried to convince my parents to let me join an academy,
They said “beta, you simply can’t , in India you cant make it , there is corruption and I would never make it”
For family, life is about study , write competitive exams even thought there a LOT of competition get average salary , do job , get wife, get children , and die.
For me life is about happiness, I love football and it gives me happiness, I never felt more serious while thinking about football as a career.
My parents feel disappointed that they failed raising a child who aspires to become great.
How did great people become great people?
They were same like all of us , they ignored the society and did what they love?
When I was doing research on how to plan my career,
I saw many videos that were like a step by step baking a cake tutorial,
Then I saw this video, I knew about you channel before and your channel is very educational.
    While watching this video
    I was like
Why, why does my country make me want to hate it.
I only want to see my country shine , and it doesn’t want me to spread my wings .
The only time I felt relieved was the ending,
I feel like I have to do something ,
Make the sport great and the youth won’t have to go through the struggles that I will have to go through
Now bringing India to the top is my first priority ❤

Hockey was most popular sport in India until 1970s. Cricket became popular only after team won 1983 world cup. It shows that people will be attracted towards a particular sport only if their team gives them something memorable to celebrate.
I believe we should support every sportman like we support cricketers but you can't blame public if they're not doing it.
Football team needs to step up their game if they want to get recognized in their own country.

AIFF this year has announced to initiate U13, U15 & U 17 Youth Leagues respectively which will run for 9 month (September-May). As you correctly mentioned, execution is the key & this needs to become a regular affair.
    Suggestions for AIFF:
    1. Need a Transition League for U17-U21 players. I feel Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) can play that role very well. RFDL can be a place where Reserve sides of ISL, I-League, I-League 2 & I-League 3 clash apart from 2 teams each to be nominated by State FAs.
This way we'll have a good league structure from U13 to U21 level & maybe in 5 years we'll start churning out well skilled players with good experience.
    2. Apart from regularly conducting Youth Leagues at U13-U21 level, AIFF has to take up the task of ensuring our Youth National Teams (U15, U17, U20 & U23) have proper coaching staff at a fixed tenure of minimum 2 years & ensure these Junior National Teams play regular matches throughout the year. Minimum 10 matches per year.
Fact: India has never qualified for U20 & U23 AFC Asian Cup- Target on qualifying on merit by 2027- Only possible if first 2 points are implemented in full spirit.
    3. Build a successful business model for Franchises to prosper in ISL.
FSDL's contract ends in 2025 - FSDL (Reliance) can continue as the main sponsor for ISL & they'll generate their revenue through broadcasting but should not take fee from franchises for participation, atleast till the time franchises don't achieve a decent level of profitability. Maybe if FSDL is right now giving 25% of broadcasting revenue to franchises, to compensate for loss of franchise revenue it can cut it down to 20% in future but ensure Franchises achieve profitability. That should be the first priority to make the league successful.
Infact ask franchises to invest in their Youth Teams. On that condition, participation fee can be exempted. If you can show tangible investments in Youth Sides, the exemption will continue.
    4. Similarly, AIFF needs to make money by selling broadcasting rights of National Team Matches & I-League. For this, firstly they need to ensure National Team plays atleast 15 matches per year & people are made well aware of National Team matches, specially at home, through marketing campaigns. Ticket sales would be crucial for AIFFs finances.
AIFF ensured National Team plays 15 matches in 2023 but let this be a habit now. I-League teams also need to be allowed to grow bigger & they can be asked to invest in the Youth Teams too.
Focus on increasing popularity of I-League 2 & I-League by ensuring live stream through atleast CZcams Channels. No one will buy it's broadcasting right at this point. Infact it might damage AIFFs reputation further by making it look desperate.

The thing is people migrated to West Bengal during the partition of Bengal in 1905 by the British which was revoked later in 1910. However, people who migrated during this time felt that they were being discriminated and thus East Bengal was formed.

The editor's failure to include Talimeren Ao in the piece is a significant oversight, particularly considering his dual roles as an Indian footballer and physician from Nagaland. Ao's absence perpetuates the unfortunate trend of neglecting the northeast region of India in mainstream media coverage. As the captain of the India national football team in their inaugural match after independence, Ao played a pivotal role in shaping the early narrative of post-colonial Indian football. His significance extends beyond the sporting arena, as he remains one of the most celebrated figures in Nagaland and a symbol of pride for the entire nation.
Furthermore, the editor missed a crucial opportunity to highlight Ao's sacrifice and commitment to honoring his father's dying wish by turning down an offer to join English club Arsenal in order to pursue a career in medicine. This decision exemplifies Ao's character and underscores the depth of his legacy beyond the football field.
By neglecting to mention Talimeren Ao, the editor not only diminishes the richness of Indian football history but also overlooks an inspirational figure whose story resonates deeply with audiences across the country. It is imperative for editors to be more diligent in representing diverse voices and narratives, especially those from regions that are often marginalized in mainstream media discourse.

If football has to grow in India then I'd say media will have a big role in this. Marketing will be the key factor. Clubs like Mohanbagan and East Bengal should advertise by their history and players like Chetri and Bhutia should advertise by their performance statistics. I League should become the 2nd division tournament with promotion and relegation system. ISL clubs should bring at least decent coaches from Europe. ISL Clubs should sign famous players who doesn't cost that much at twilight of their career to grab attention।

    Personal story...
When I was in 4th grade, I wanted to play football and wanted to learn.
I won't say where I used to live, but we have a national level of sports institution.
Yet there was no youth training or coaching for football.
Yet they had a youth camp from cricket right behind the foot grounds.
They had training programs for tennis, volleyball, basketball, athletic but not for football.
I approach the coaches who use to train senior teams.
They said they don't have time for kids, yet he said I am free to practice as long as I don't interfere with their practices.
So I used to go and just play at the wall. Seniors gave me advice on how to play, but they never let me play...
Of course, I didn't improve, tho I got good at shooting lol, and then I started practicing goalkeeping with the shots I was taking at the wall. So I used to shoot the ball and then respond to catch it.
After a year, I stopped as they refused to let me practice with them.
That is the state of the sports in India.
My classmates who had money for private lessons got better overall. They had refined techniques where as I was basically self-taught and practiced. So I did make my school's team as keeper but as an extra. Tho, the keeper they selected was already training for the state team, so I can see why I was a substitute.🤣
But with limited resources, there weren't so many options for me. The National Institute who had training facility for almost all the sports India play but not football. I couldn't afford private lessons, so there was that.
After a few years, I had a knee injury, and since I only played a couple of times.

In West Bengal, football is a very popular game. Mohanbagan-East Bengal tussle is everywhere and football is an obsession, a mania, a madness here. That's why it's very difficult for us accept the fact that we are bad in it. Now Indian Super League has started and many celebrities including Sourav Ganguly are investing money in it. Despite that fact, the overall performances of the football players remained poor.

Blaming Cricket for footballing failure is just absurd. Mass public wasn't interested in cricket before 70s and 60s. But when we won the wc in 83, people started dreaming of becoming a cricketer and make the country proud. Similarly, Indian football team has to show something to the fans to attract attention that this team can do something. Anyone has followed the recent Asian cup knows how horrible our performance was. If anyone says we did good, we put up a fight, then no sir. Players can't deliver and public is not taking things seriously.

In early 50s or 60s there were few countries in asian football including pakistan, india, iran, Israel, korea etc. No any arab country and even Japan wasn't playing in major competition. When India played 1964 final, it was a competition of just 4 teams, and see now 24 teams are playing in asian cup.

Where getting hired by an MNC is the number one priority of all the parents/guardians in our country, it's gonna be difficult to promote football, let's face the reality......we as a country are not rich and football in india unlike cricket is not a money making sport,......so the younger generation obviously gonna prioritise food on the table over foot on the ball.....as simple as that.

The real reason didn't play in the 1940s and 50s, india had the best football team in asia. They were always competing in the olympics 3 teams stepped back for the world cup, directly going to brazil to play cost a lot of money. So the IFA had to choose between wasting money to go to play in the world cup, or go and play in the olympics in Helsinki Finland 1952 and only 10 days before the world cup they sent their word to FIFA. That they stepped back and would not play, they chose to play in the olympics.and that was the biggest mistake in indian football history.🙏

First Indian's Mindset should change. They think Cricket is only or their game.
More People means more Fans, more Fans means more Publicity, more Publicity means more Revenue for the Government.
Many Indians know the name of Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi but they dont know Sunil Chethri. If people change and support other Sports then India will gain name in Olympics and other Sports.
