FTR I don't say that the plane is bad at all: quite the contrary. I just don't enjoy flying it, especially solo (without a competent teammate).

190s can pull more than the swift relative to the competition, plus the flaps are a bigger ace for the 190 than the swift. They're not comparable

Britain is the nation you play to actually get good at the game, ground, air and naval.
Forced a russian tanker of mine from argentina to play britain 1.0-2.7 tanks, needless to say he improved in a short amount of time by learning angling , aiming for weakpoints and using cover. Sadly I can't teach him logical thinking so if he spawned on the wrong side of map from me, he drives all the way to this side losing time and potential tactical advantage because he says he doesn't simply know where to go to be effective in a map.

im fairly new to jets but i really like the swift f1. if i mess up i can extend and usually outrun any threats. but totally agree with the gun issue, learning to aim with them has been strangely difficult
Swift is a good buddy for a Meteor (I currently fly G41G - not the best one but still fine) since it pushes MiGs to turn and loose some speed.
I have to admit that this is pretty plane when it comes to appearance

When downtiered the Swift can outaccelerate DIVING F-84, and sometimes when uptiered it outruns MiGs
If it means anything, this jet feels different when flying it with realistic controls on a flight stick. It dog fights quite well.
Just figured out the yak 30 is at 8.3 but it was doin so well I didnt even notice
I'm currrently flying the swift, i sort of like it... you are right about the stock though, I'm a solo player and yep i totally agree.. I am enjoying the experience in it thou and the Meteor F Mk3.. Both make you think and plan more and keep a step ahead of the other players

@@blurairsoft3094 That doesn't mean he likes it though. I dislike the P-47 yet I still fly it and can get 2-4 kills with it in a game. It doesn't mean I enjoy or like it.

I personally enjoy the Swift.
It's got a decent top speed (1045kph. Stat cards liiiiiiiiiiieeee), it accelerates extremely well, it's good in vertical and horizontal turns with flaps at speeds up to 600kph (it'll start to turn worse with flaps at around 700kph from what I've seen and done), it's guns are decent enough with Air Target belts (laughs in ADENs) and the thing looks good.
9/10. Enjoyed clapping MiG 15s and 17s. Including those annoying 17AS with their afterburners.

I'm still not use to these guns. I whiff shots left and right. Its a decent plane though, but I'm I get to move on to the F.7.

I disagree with the fact you said the swift is just “good” at everything, it’s speed is stupidly good, it’s not like anything at its BR
Allow me to clarify:
The swift is good at 2 things: speed and energy retention. It's bad at turning, and has poor low-speed flight characteristics as well as alright guns (annoying to aim) and an overall extremely rigid playstyle which makes it "good at" one thing: which is being a support plane, whereas the MiG-15bis or venom is way more versatile. Hope that clears things up a bit.
Umm roll rate is decent too.
I'd call the roll rate average with boosters so you can duke MiGs for a while but eventually they can just sit behind you. I'd rather be in a meteor or a venom tbh

What I'm pissed off about is and after trying to find material on it so far and not coming across any is that If you have a look at the modifications tree for the swift f7 and say the Mig 21 is that the G-suit for the Mig is 41000 RP for a BR of 10.0, the swift on the other hand which is 8.7!! The G-suit is 78000RP and the starting modifications are 48000!!! what the fuck is this about, I can't honestly wrap my head around the thought process that someone at Gaijin said yeah let's give a Jet 1.3BR lower another 20-30000RP more for EACH modification, FOR EACH modification. Ok, so I'm going to leave this here and try to compose myself so that I do not bash my head repeatedly of my desk.

I would take the Venom over this. Still, great planes but just not required at 8.7 when the venom is already there. This has also been added 2 years late in my opinion. What is required is an actual supersonic. Fill the bigger hole first which has existed for 3 patches or so before adding these mid tiers. We are facing f4s and 21s now in something that can't even go mach in a straight line

Swift f1 has really good high speed acceleration. It can out run mig17s above 900
Imma agree with you this plane is speed speed and speed the engine is more suited to a Cruise missile than a plane
I dare to disagree on your opinion. The F1 is a good carry plane in a downtier. It's fast enough to the point where unless you're against a MiG-17 or 15 or La-200, you're out of touch for everything. I can say this with experience. With even 1-3 as long as you're not turnfighting you have to only worry about your ammo and fuel. And when it's spaded even the migs will have difficulties with you. It all works as long as you can see a four digit number next to your speed indicator when you're at ground level at all times.

Swift F1 is my favorit plane
You didn't mention that you can loose half a wing without noticeable maneuverability loss. Killed wingtips of three of these bastards in a row and one managed to outperform me and shot me down in a high speed turn (>800km/h) I just couldn't get my mig guns at the target, because it was swirling and rolling away without crashing into the ground and I didn't see any difference in the turning circle too.

To be honest test flight was quite enough for me to to get screw this Im out feeling. Compared to meteors or even vampire this... doesnt feel quite right, I had pretty much almost same feeling with attacker, its just... overpriced sort of not great not terrible fun. Tried to describe it but I find its pretty hard to find correct words about swift.

La-15 pilots are having nightmares, i just can't do anything about this guy, or i'm just too bad.
Its quite easy to fly honestly, i spaded it in no time. As for guns, compare it to hispanos, they are wayy better. Great roll rate, wing rip is the only flaw in my opinion. Cheers

My tip is dont panick with a mig on your 6 take it easy i kill every mig in a dogfight with my swift F1 use your flaps and learn the guns... the guns are great if you can aim good.
Im going to be 100% with you by saying I completely disagree with you especially with you saying the Mig 15's will basically absolutely maul you as well as it being a plane better in squads. I have 0 problems dealing with Migs, I deal with them by turning with them and then diving, I easily out accelerate them each time, and I only play the swift solo, I see no problem with it and I could even say i would be fine with it even at 8.7, when you say it isnt a good carrying plane I disagree as well, I've had several games where it was me and an ally vs half an enemy team, and we would win
I also find it easy to deal with F9F's and other american naval planes, even when I'm in a disadvantaged situation
I don't know about the F.1, but the F.7 is basically a Hunter F.6 without missiles at 8.7. It's super good against the MiG spam that's going on right now.

Takes ace says dis plane is bad. British finaly has some good low br fighters. This plane should be 8.7. Any other 8.7 planes reaches 1k kph at sea level but this plane can do it at 8.3. Its a nice plane.

The swift takes forever to get up to speed, and when you boom and zoom everyone gets out of the way of your guns
When you have someone at your speed or faster than you chasing you down you can’t do anything to shake them off cause you’re flying a brick

I see that you havent played a stock G.91 R/3 yet, in air rb. That thing is a bit worse than the swift when it comes to ammo, you should be grateful that you have 400 cannon ammo instead of 250.
I fucking hate this plane, bad climb rate, bad turn rate, REALLY bad gun placement, as of right now slow at 8.3
The gun placement is really good and I love it but aside from those marvelous 30mm it's a very difficult plane to use
