@@skeptical_mann1196 the F3D is incapable of retaining anything good tho. First it was the radar guided aiming reticle which was a little cheaty on RB but tons of fun in sim. They removed it cause enemy teams can't handle an attacker with an 840km/h max speed limit. It's still fun in sim as an early match jet only. If they gave it missiles, the concentrated butthurt of axis teams would break the servers.
And the Meteor too.... Thoo it was just tested on it

Can anyone please explain to me the reasoning behind the cost of the F7's modules!? 48k RP for a tier 1 module. I think it's 72k RP for tier 4. Crazy costs for an 8.7 BR.

CL 13 has 52k for Aim-9bs and MiG-21 only 32k for R-60s ... so its unbalanced and just dumb liek everything with Br and such stuff ^^

If you guys are wondering how to use these, they only lock when a plane enters the beam radar. you can tell by the radar in the top left will flutter or change colors from green to black and that's when you have a lock. 3:58 is a prime example of a lock.
I don’t think they lock on to anything. They’re mouse guided.

And no, beam riders don't home onto a laser. They stay inside the laser/radar beam that you point at the target (they "look backwards" to see if they are in the middle or adjust to keep in the middle). That makes them immune to stuff like Shtora and you don't have to have them aimed at a solid object.
Tunguska missle and MIM416 (ADATS one) are laser beamriders. So is the Ataka and the Vikhr. The Kornet is a beamrider as well (idr if it is in game yet)
not to be a mainsplainer or anything but from playing around with the fireflash quite a bit there are some things that are good to know about them.
Since they are beam riders connected to the planes radar system, you don't technically have to point your nose at the enemy planes in a headon, although it really helps considering how useless your radar can be. More interestingly however, is that the missiles become more useful at chasing airplanes if you turn off your radar, since you switch them into manual-ish guidance mode, by pointing your nose where you want them to intercept the enemy.
Also a big problem with the fireflash is that not only does it have an incredibly low G-tolerance, it also has horrendous tracking since it doesn't aim to intercept, just aims to catch up.
But a big plus is the proximity fuze and the fact that it doesn't exactly need to lock on to targets!

Beam riding means it follows a narrow radar beam that is locked on to the a/c all the way to the target.
It is like a heatseeker that you have to maintain lock if im correct
BOSs 13 Heat seekers are a group 2 missile, IR heat seeking, fire and forget. This missile is a group 4 missile CLOS (Command line of sight) missile. It follows a narrow beam of radiation from an illumination radar on the a/c. Good for an non maneuvering target like a bomber from behind. The 2 rockets attached to the missile burn for about 1.5 seconds getting it up to Mach 2, where the missile essentially glides its way to the target using on-board gyros and servos to the control surfaces to maintain its flight path down the narrow beam of radiation coming from the a/c radar. They are 2 very different missile.

I think they updated the swift F7 I use to have to guide them in, but now if you head on aircraft and wait for that jet to be targeted by the radar at the top and fire your fireflash it almost always hits the plane, keeping in mind it only has 2 Miles of range so it will target it about 1.70 Mile? it might have always been like that but i find once your radar targets an incoming jet and you fire the fireflash, it is the most satisfying thing ever, you don't need to worry about only being affective against bombers with that, maybe it has always been like that but i am impressed to find this method is insanely fun, much support to your channel!

This thing constantly gets up tiered to 9.7 though, where everything it fights has IR missiles... Which is especially brutal because everything you fight is both faster and more manoeuvrable than you too.
Perhaps, the biggest problem with giving advice in a competitive situation is that the enemies you'll face, who have listened, will be harder to overcome.

I agree with you on the unique aspect. Thats why I think the hunter f6 is a great addition to the game. Its not broken by any means and its fun and unique. For those who think it is OP let me tell you its not. It's 10.0 which means vs other planes near its BR they can outrun the hunter and if you happen to get a hunter on your 6 within 1300 meters you probably deserve the death as its easy to avoid being in the very limited situation the SRAAM's can actually kill.

first time i tried to land my swift, i assumed it had airbrakes so i came in at around 450kph with about 20 seconds of fuel left too, it did not end well

They remind me of the Starstreak missile. They have, from what I see, 2 heads. Are they Proximity fuse or not because if they had proximity fuse it would be very fun in head on attacks

If you don't know what beamriding is then don't speak about it, there is a difference between the semi active homing and beam riding infact they are completely different. -_-

No you can use wasd to steer no problem, most jets just don't rip that easy. Brit jets especially have a habit of locking up to the point they are incapable of pulling the Gs needed to even rip the wings

@@julievrhackzor oh yeah swift especially is known to be a bus when it comes to turning. The Hunter is no different, it just doesn't turn below 800kmh and the controls lock up past 900kmh. Some jets definitely rip from full elevator input, venom and long wing meteors for example. Horten 229 is laughably easy to rip at around 700-750 for example. Many of the high end jets (8.7+) are very hard to rip

All I want is my F14, I don’t care what any other country gets. Give all allied countries the best F4 variants or a typhoon for Germany, a harrier for Britain... I do not care as long as I get my F14, with bigger maps and the missiles could even be dumbed down a lot and I wouldn’t care.

These are also manually guided, but differently. They just also have the ability to use the radar to guide themselves
AA Nords are for aircraft and AS Nords are for ground units

So with the fireflashes I heard they are weird for their tracking. Like sometimes they track with the cursor and sometimes they track where the nose is going. Which is it?
The missile follows the nose of the plane, and the nose follows the cursor. At least, that is how it should be, I haven't used them
If your radar has a target locked and you maintain lock the missile will follow that lock. Otherwise it will follow your instructions.
