You're giving me a trip down memory lane. Back in the early 80's I spent some of my 6 years of ARMY service as a flight medic on Huey's. Another, great review from the captain. 👍😎👍

@@ghostpilot7139 and until the Black Hawks took over Hueys were used for many military needs after Vietnam Hueys were MAST helicopters during non-wattime. We covered the post as well as surrounding civilian community.

I'm not really into helicopters but that one really really is cool looking.
I can visualize actually making a movie with that, at the right distances with the right sound effects.
a half hour with some paints and rubs you could make it look sooooo much better too.

About 8 years ago I saw an Apache heli about 4 times that size. Gas operated of course true life open doors with soldiers and the big guns. The pilot was very skilled. Later found out he owns the hobby shop in town and it cost more than my house.

Another Fantastic video here. I was first drawn to your channel by your 1/10 scale Humvee review. I have watched many RC channels and rarely or never are radios, or the actual how to connect things together on a build shown. You make it seem a lot less intimidating and more fun in your videos. Excellent instructions here. All I have ever heard about helicopters is how difficult they are, but to see this gps mode and it’s ability to seemingly land itself for a novice flyer is really cool. Thank You so much. Do you think this Huey could handle a custom cockpit with pilots? Or would it mess up the weight and balance?
Very nice, I am considering getting a helo, maybe this one, it looks substantial. I would definitely give it some detailing and weathering brushwork.

(sorry, couldn't help that!!) ; as an aside; I know it was damn cold however the sky / cloud formation over you was absolutely beautiful !; now, if we could just replace the Mini 3 with the Spark for the observation video !!!!

If you fly white box with Red Cross a 1st. Cav patch needs to be in the front. Dust off had just Red Cross. 1st. Cav 68-69 medivac.

Whatta nice looking bird, Capi. 2 types of Fiberglass. The preferred hand laid where you see the cloth pattern or choppergun where it's sprayed out with fiberglass strands & not preferred ,too hard to repair .
I hope these company's appreciate you fighting frostbite to show their product.

I would definitely say “stand off scale” not quite scale. If you want a scale heli look at Roban. These are fun though and generally represent the full size subject.

Yes, but obviously you will need to put a DSMX receiver in it. Also, some helis prefer 8 channel radios for all the features.

Nice scale helicopter! Thanks for suffering the weather for us. How much of a difference flying that compared to a drone? I have always loved helicopters but have been scared of destroying one.

I have the same huey br careful on hard landing if u do the landing skids will break in half as they have bin drilled u can buy the huey 450size from ail express for £130.then buy fw heily much cheaper
Why have you left the tail wings/horz stabs off of your model?
Because the wind from the blades can have an affect on the tail when they are attached.
What kind of glue did you used to glue in the windshields?
I just taped it in place with fibreglass tape. I tried CA glue (gorilla super glue) at first but it was getting messy so I gave up.

I have viewers of all ages and all different backgrounds. For the old people like me, it is called a Transmitter or Radio. For the young people who grew up with DJI it is called a REMOTE, as in Remote Controller (vice Radio Controller).

If it is flying without issue then it is all well (the rear motor may sound like air coming out of a balloon at times).
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 unfortunately I hade a major crash total loss, beware everyone it almost took my my off!! Did the calibration, all good so far, got green light, proceeded to hover… less then uneventful take off and hover. It totally became uncontrollable as it lost GPS Satellites 😡😡 I wonder why Free Wing doesn’t apply a proven platform like the FW200 which is by far the best easy to use for beginners !!!
So Fly Wing let’s apply the technology of the FW200 to a larger size!!

Since this is a medic mobile, it's less of a Flight of the Valkyries aircraft and more Unfortunate Son. Get a flight of about 20 cresting a hill and I'll make an exception.
