I enjoy all of your videos! It is super hot here in Florida right now, so I'm not flying my FW200 as much, but I would like to stay in practice. Do you have a recommendation on a simulator and model that might be close to the FW200? I need to keep current, and practice full manual before I go out to the field. Thanks for your help!
best physics flight simulator is RealFlight G7 or above

Sorry to go off topic here but I’m thinking of putting my FW450v3 in a Westland Lynx scale fuselage and I need to put the tail rotor on the port side of the tail because the Lynx has a horizontal tail on the starboard side, how would you do that electronically? or perhaps you could include it in another future video please.
Thanks buddy. I may not have chance to make video about it but what i understand is you need to reverse the motor (physically you need to resolder swapping two out of 3 wires) and then use a proper propeller for reversed motor. after that need to see how gyro acts and controls

hello jamie, you can just google for flywing website and download from their download section. but you will have to disable your antivirus and make an exception for the executable file or else it will get deleted with a virus warning
Great video as always, this works great on my fly wing Airwolf, should this work with the same model transmitter and each one in a different helicopter?
In other heli I changed to 1400 to ATT from previous switch mode 3d and the helicopter wants to fall out of the sky.
changing values should work. it should not fall out of sky that way, must be something not set right
Hey Ali, when I am in 1400 ATT mode, the helicopter will respond the way it's set up in FW 1.9 SW for 3D mode? I have a ton of tuning I did to my liking...
i believe it should respond as per your tuning

Hi ali, on my uh1 v3 in ATT mode it doesn’t hold altitude it drops when switching from gps. I have calibrated the sticks in the transmitter and on the pc H1 software and have set the transmitter to 1400 and tried 1300, no luck. Do you have any other ideas? Thank you.
set the swash leveling. using assist, go to swash setup and zero all servos, then play with value and use pitch guage to see its zero pitch. then click on max and min. set values and check with pitch guage to set + - 12 degrees positive and negative. then go fly and test

Hi Ali it's me again I am still having trouble with my 450 2.5 helicopter it flies for 1min and then lands can you tell me how to setup the trasmitter on the power settings. Thanks
its not in tx. you need to check your battery. charge it properly to full. disable low voltage RTH. if its landing itself that means battery is dying and has no power to even RTH, so it auto lands

I have a stupid question though: is there a reason why you always take off to 1 meter altitude in sort of 1 millisecond 😅when you're in GPS mode, while you're doing it really scale and slow while in 6G or 3D modes?

Thank you for your support to my work. well that quick non scale take off is in GPS mode and there is no way to avoid it. i can only do scale take off in 3D mode :)

@@alishanmao I have the V2.5 450 and the V3,the V2.5 will lift off very smooth when fully spooled up,the V3 when fully spooled up will jump up very quickly,what I have learned with the V3 is to lift off B4 it gets to fully spooled and it will lift off very smooth and easy.
Beautiful! I have been flying a flywing H1 huey without a glitch. Unfortunately, this morning I tried to fly but kept seeing red flashing light and beeping alarm. I tried to recalibrate GPS but it was the same result. Please help. I'm looking forward to buy V3 and airwolf body in the near future.

@alishanmao thank you. It looks like my ESC is out. The tail rotor spins but not the main rotor.

if you remember the values 2000 RTH, 1500 GPS, 1400 ATT, 1300 G6 and 1200-1000 3D you can set these on any radio on the flight mode channel

Hi there is there a way to set flight mode to 6 xis or ATT on any other radios, I have a iX12 Radio flying with DSM2 Orange 9 channel receiver with H1 heli on my Trex450 ? or do I have to convert to the flywing Radio ?
its all about setting up PWM values that you output on Channel 5. if you can program your radio to output 1400 instead of 1500, you will have ATT mode instead of GPS. and so on. check my other setup videos that talk about these values for different flight modes
I absolutely LOVE your videos, I've been flying RC and Control Line since I was 12 (I'm 74 now) and I still learn new stuff from your video, especially new hardware, modes and controllers. I flew the UH-1G and F Gunships in Vietnam (1970-73) and I'm impressed with that Huey model, so many in the past were more toys with no realistic flight characteristics. I think I'll get one now. Capt ret. 20th SOS, 27th Spl Ops Wing, USAF 20 years. Thanks Ali!

Agree, the worst place you could have gps in in the middle where it would be hard to find in a panic. I often wonder What are they thinking? Logically return to home should be down position. Logically engine off should be down position and run should be up position. I hope they fix all of this and I would buy one. I really don't want to buy a rtf and have to start programming.
its the matter of getting used to what they supply in RTF or buy PNP, get a TX16s from radiomaster and program your favorite switch positions yourself
Is the white transmitter only capable of one model per unit, I have the Huey and 450 v3 but would like the Bell 206, but that means 3 transmitters, I already have at least 20 normal ones, thank you for your excellent videos and advice.

I down loaded the software for my uh-1 Huey it's saying the main rotor is at 65 percent and tail rotor is only 35 percent speed. Factory set. Is that right or should my tail speed be higher?
if its set from factory then just fly it and adjust only if needed
Can this transmitter be set up with the throttle stick at low position not mid stick as the default ?.
probably you have to open it and remove the spring on throttle

Hi Ali can you still do the inverted flight if you switch back to GPS. And can you put the ATT to the 3D switch removing the 3D function?
on scale helicopters i will not suggest you to do inverted flight. Huey UH1 have disabled this feature, you can only do inverted manually in 3D mode. on Airwolf its FW450 v3 so you can do inverted but its too heavy to do that. yes you can use ATT and disable 3D or you can use all 5 flight modes

Flight mode switch, ATT, GPS, RTH on SC and then over ride the values using SE for 3D and 6G Modes.
Ali, I have the v2 uh1, that has the 3 blade tail rotor, OK, I switched out the 3 blade for the 2 blade on the FW450, it was too long the main blade just barely hit it,, so I cut 6 mm off each blade and made sure it was balanced Do you think the tail will hold at 60% or should i put it up farther? Thank you for your advice.
well you can only fly and find out buddy :) in fact when I switched my 3 blade to 2 blade. i did not cut main blades. i just flew and it was fine. though close but no issues

Hi! on my t.rex 470 with the flywing H1, when I activate the switch on to make the motor turn the blades suddenly spin too fast and the tail rotor does not have time to compensate the torque. so my helicopter starts to turn on itself for 2 seconds. How to lower the engine speed on the software so that the engine speed to bé more progressive?

I believe it should be in your ESC settings. set it up for a soft start. you have to read your ESC user manual and program it for soft start. its easily done using radio throttle and moving it. but you must read your ESC user manual and make right adjustments. if you have ESC program card thats even better. have fun buddy.

HI ,I Have the FW 450 V2 and set the 3D mode to 1400 to get ATT mode as you suggested .At about 15 feet i selected ATT and the helicopter just dived into the ground. What have i done wrong..
Also when gps is lost in flight what happens,..
double check your values with assist program if they are switching to ATT or 6G. after changing settings or values in radio, you have to stick calibrate radio and then stick calibrate in assist again. in order for the values to take effect properly

I still remember. Long time ago, if you want to play 6ch helicopter, you need to play from simulator first before you play the real 6ch helicopter. Because you will keep make your 6ch helicopter crash. Now, with all the stabilizer technology, you can jump up to 6ch helicopter with beginner mode.

Wow.your gps locks quick. I have the same v3 huey and it takes 5 minutes or longer for my gps to lock green. Sometimes not at all if weather is cloudy. So I just put it away and can't fly.. why is mine taking so long to lock green ? Is there something wrong with it?
check the GPS installation location. sometimes moving it to other location does the job
The wire is not long enough to move it. You think I should try ordering a new gps modular maybe? They are cheep. It's like a lemon car. Lol . I think I just got one from Flywing

Hi Alishanmao. The att mode in my airwolf works perfect. But in my Huey as soon as I switch to att , it don't hold altitude. It starts to desend like landing. Why do you think it's doing that?
Check and fix the ATT values on flight mode switch. then re calibrate your radio sticks using radio menus. then connect your heli to computer run assist program and do the sticks calibration again. fly and see

Hi A. So I recalibrated the hueys transmitter and on h1 assist. like you said. It's flying nice but when I switch into att , it still wants to immediately start to descend . I'm wondering if maybe my negative pitch is out of adjustment. I did replace a servo . Maybe it knocked it out of correct pitch. I'm just not sure what to adjust to zero out the collective pitch so it hovers in hands free in att. Like my airwolf does . I'm just lost . Lol. I really appreciate your help too
well that descrribes why you are having issue. after replacing a servo you must re do the swash centering and adjust blade pitch with assist and pitch guage.@@dradden1556
Yeah your right. I just noticed one of the blades is centered on the tic mark and the other blade is off just a little bit. I guess that's why I didn't notice before. Thank you
Ciao Alì...un caro saluto e una domanda..ho provato a fare il volo rovescio con il mio fw 450Lv2 ma è successa una cosa strana...il modello si è messo sottosopra...ha mantenuto quota e posizione ma poi non rispondeva ai comandi(su..giu'..destra..sinistra..avanti..indietro)..riportato in posizione normale ripreso a funzionare...ripetuta l'operazione più volte ma sempre uguale...ho sbagliato qualcosa?..si accettano suggerimenti...mille grazie
I have never met such issue. its sure kinda very strange. it could only be a glitch in the system. try to change the inverted controls to professional in the assist and see if it works or not.

Ok, I think I got it. I did a reset to default settings in the sw, and now it's different. Now there is no collective difference between gps and atti mode
