Always happy to see your videos…any experience with 27.5x4.5 tires on this beautiful bike….please tell about space between tire end frame in the rear :-) happy trails
thxs for the thoughtful review! Any thoughts on mounting options for a "Carbon"-beargreaae for long distance or a towing for weekend or long distance? all the best
I think the mounting options are good for doing a long distance ride. I personally bought one of these right after doing the video because I like the bike that much. With about 60 mi on mine. Now I can say it's plenty comfortable, and while I don't carry much on my bike, it has plenty of capacity to do so.
Your video shows a much richer red-fade color on the bike. The Salsa website shows the bike as more of a peachy color. Are the actual production bikes bright red?
Yes .... I have one on order and the website is wrong its red which really sucked because I was going to upgrade me as soon as it arrived and had to return everything and swap to red coloured parts . The website orange actually looks better I think
My Beargrease arrived just in time for the first ice and snow of the season. What a GREAT bicycle!! And my color scheme matches the orange pictured on the Salsa website. What a Beaut!
After seeing this video I thought maybe the Salsa website color was wrong as it looks orange and this video looks red but its definitely orange not the red that your video displayed thank gawd
I'm going to guess that it's going to be close to 30 lbs. Not less than 27 pounds, closer to 30. If it's more than 30 lbs o would be disappointed. :) Wow, 31+. It's mostly the weight of the tires
IDK. 31lbs does sound a bit heavy for carbon, no suspension, and no dropper. Not to heavy for me but I expected a bit lighter for a carbon frame. If the frame is just overbuilt, and can handle 400lbs, then okay.
To pricey almost 3k ! I was expecting the weight less than 27 lbs Not tubeless out of the box?? I got a 2016 beargrease cost 1,300 when it’s was new. With the old style QR, 2xdrive , mechanical breaks. It’s been abuse like mad but still holding amazing ! 3k for a CF and all those modern upgrades is just wasting money But wherever
Going tubeless would easily bring the weight down to less than 30 lbs. And I believe he mentioned a dropper post, just a tiny bit of extra weight. Bike industry is enjoying a huge pandemic boom , price will normalize in the near future.
Not bad. It's a Minnesota brand. And I've got real hate for anything Minnesota. And why the bland colors? Salsa should take a look at Trek or Orbea, for frame colors.
I love this bike.. It's on my next purchase list for certain.
Thanks for the video. Great thorough review of the bike.
Thanks for watching and glad you liked it
Thanks man!!!
top tube bag mounts/ bottle cage mounts are ultra advanced tech, I see why these adventures bikes are getting more and more expensive.
😂
That bike looks very Salsa.. i like the tubing design of the frame.
0:53 Lt. Dangle shreds!

What’s the weight limit on this bike with the rider and gear? Always looking for a Clydesdale friendly suggestion for my big boned friends.
Salsa ❤️ I own 2015 Beargrease and 2016 Bucksaw. Beargrease is my favorit bike and accumulates most of the km´s.
Awesome 👍 happy riding

31lbs is impressive for a fat bike and about the same as an entry level XC bikes.
Yep, pretty impressive

Too heavy but beautiful... Cheers from Greece..
Cheers 🥂
It’s made for snow. Do you need a light bike in the snow? 🤔
@@gearbox1858 you think a heavier bike it's better for snow rides ?
@@bigmikeshooter I think the weight of this bike is perfect for snow. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

No suspensions?
I need a fat bike like I need a fat girlfriend .
Some say a waste of money. Others say a huge waste of money.
This crappy bike is not even available, nothing is available right now biking has become something from funny to nonsense
Growler has fat bikes on their site to buy right now
