RIP Bernie Marsden!! Guitarrista Fantástico!! Fundador de Whitesnake
🎵🎸💔

R.I.P Bernie Marsden who passed away yesterday Aug 24th, a helluva guitarist, song writer, and by all accounts a damn funny bloke & all round nice guy, thanks for providing the sound track to my teenage years, gone but never to be forgotten.
💔🎵🎸

So heart-healing...Jon Lord's keyboard sound is so holy.
I'm 53 goddamn years old and am only just now seeing this Tawny-less version...wow...you learn something new everyday!
So good to see Cozy on the drums!
I love being a Hobo and being alone
Same!!!!
I love the original version, more heart and soul. Absolutely lovely
well sounds nice but there is no Sykes guitars here.and that is why 1987 is the best HRock album ever
Sure he wasn’t as coked out back then as in the 80s.
82 Blues sound, real feeling. 87 hair metal song
Hai zarina
@@patriciozazzini968 😆 🤣 😂
I love both versions very much. Without the original one we wouldn't have anything. Jon Lord made the original one very special. Long live Whitesnake.
Three Versions. The US Radio Version was recorded completely New by other people
Wouldn't have anything? You must be from States, don't ya 😜

I don't care which version it is,this song will always kick ass. It's timeless.
Yup. That’s the great thing about this song. No matter what version somebody puts on I won’t complain.
82
Love this original version. Gritty, raw rock n roll!
Shame the guy who co wrote it never got the chance to play it live with the band thanks to mr ego Coverdale
Overproduction isn’t a bad thing when you know how to use correctly
RIP Bernie. Thank you for all your contributions to rock over the past 50 years!!!
Thank you Bernie Marsden for writing this great song!!!!
RIP Bernie! You wrote your name in the history of rock n' roll!
Cozy on the drums !
Only for the video he doesn't play on the song

The original version . The best version.
This version has such a Deep Purple feel
Because half of Whitesnake who recorded this was in Deep Purple.
I feel this version better than 87 personally
God Bless Bernie Marsden RIP 🙏🏻 you will be missed Bernie 🙏🏻
Damn, this version is awesome! Jon Lord's organ playing always gives me the chills! 🤘🎹
This version is the exact definition of Rock n Roll
The harmony in the chorus is so much better
Music is so gritty- It’s awesome
Best version of this song... bluesy, with real feeling.
That's how I like it.
Лучшая версия 1987 года. Там гитара великолепно звучит!
I like the 1987 version best. This one is a little "bland"
87 version is a lot better, more drum beat to the song!
@@latengocomoburro 1987 just has more drive and... testosterone to it. Though I do wish they would've kept "hobo" instead of "drifter" 😂😂
Never gets old new version or old version. Just don't hear this kind of Rock and Roll any more. Masterpiece!!!!!!
No, we sure don’t. Hopefully, one day, we’ll see a resurgence of rock and roll, similar to the style of these great classics!
82
Rock in peace Bernie! A hard rock classic written by the man himself!from Shaz in the uk.
John Lord on keyboards⚡❤️
David Coverdale...one of the truly great rock voices of our time
Yeah you're right Heather,How are you doing today and happy new year..
its not coverdale... its john lord. this is the original 85 version
82
@@tyroneevans1269 John Lord on keyboards, but David Coverdale was always the singer!
Mickey Moody on lead and Mel Galley playing rhythm, Colin Hodgkinson bass, and Cozy Powell on drums.
Rest in Peace, Uncle Bernie. The world over shall miss you.
Now 4 legends have left us, what a sad world
Absolutely the best version
R.I.P. Bernie. 心よりご冥福をお祈りいたします、合掌。
Rest un peace Bernie
I'm going to listen to this song until I get old, it makes me happy and every time I hear it I feel like dancing, it brings me so many memories, and I could not fail to thank my parents for their good taste of music
Ana Catarina i hope it’s still making u happy
Are you old yet. I am
I've never heard this version and didn't know it existed. I love it!!
they were two versions
Here I Go Again from 1982 and 1987!
whitesnake started as a more hard rock/blues rock band made up of formed Deep Purple before they became the hair metal band that many people remember and influenced others 80s bands with sexy videos!
This is the third version I've heard...didn't know that there were three until now!
I was aware of the '82 version but hadn't heard it at the time it was released. Basically I grew up on the '87 version like most of my peers but listening to this version it does have it's unique qualities, mostly with the organ touches and the added chorus, similar to the '87 remixed single version. My personal favorite is the '87 album version I remember most and first heard.
Me too.
RIP Bernie, true gent and rock star! This is by far the best version of the song!
1 word can make so much difference
Classic Whitesnake.Just love that bluesy sound they had in the day. Will never forget seein' them in Belfast on the Slide it in tour '84
Absolutely beautiful
Early whitesnake...,,were the best blues rock act around.......just didn't get enough, well deserved attention!👍👍
The best version of this song - thanks...
OMG this voice is so powerfull and magical. God bless u DC and all the snakes involved in all these years of touring and making music for us.
The original and far and away the best
The great Jon Lord. Miss him.
R.I.P Bernie Marsden ❤
I miss this kind of music...The good, old ones
There isn't this music anymore. Where the music is now?
Put a C in front of that rap they have these days and that is what you have crap. You can't beat the late 60's, the 70's, and the 80's for the music.
The 90’s was the last decade that rocked.
The hair style are horrible, but the music are the first.
@@earlbishop1224 hahahaha yes. It is a C rap
Easily the best version
This is my favorite version of this song.
FRIDAY,WHAT A MANNER TO START MY WEEKEND,ENJOY A CLASSIC FAVORITE ONE!
Wow, after thinking that the 87 version was the only version this blew me away. This one has so much more energy in it and just wow...
There are even 2 different 1987 versions.
both are rubbish next to this version
@@oscargraves5735 actually they're all good but yeah this one got more soul to it
Is he saying “like a hobo I was born to walk alone” in this version?
@@nadirabotwin7435 Yes
R.I.P man
Que voz, meu Deus! Que beleza de homem!!!!!! Essa música é para sempre!
Born To Walk Alone
This version is MUCH BETTER than the polished in 1987, soulful, brilliant, sounds true to themselves. This album is just insane
To me the 87 version is the best, more drum beat to the song.
@@norfolksouthernrailfan2006 and you can really hear the roar in David Coverdale’s voice
True of all their _originals._
You take one look at this guy's singing and physical expression and you just know he's bad ass.
Whitesnake are absolutely brilliant and david riverdale is a legend and they have never made a bad album or record
Hi Danny love the song and I'm 73 lost my adult daughter and son Yr half apart I look after my other son who has head injuries I all ways say to him here I go again love to you x
Coverdale, not Riverdale
So much better than the '87 version.
Classic Snake.
EPIC! I'll never get tired of listening to this song... and David's extraordinary voice.
Rest in peace Bernie ❤
I prefer this original. Gritty, soulful. Much heart.
In my opinion both this version and the 1987 version are great
I definitely prefer this version. Warmer. The individual instruments are clearer. Certainly Better drumming and a better drum sound.
Rest In Peace Bernie Marsden
R.I.P. Bernie....
this song saw me through the shit....
AWESOME SONG...I AGREE ITS RIGHT
Alan Springett hope you're doing well xx

Old bluesy Whitesnake.
The guitars are so much better than 87. Both great versions but this one touches your soul
Love this version and the 87 version, two great versions to enjoy win win . Same with fool for your loving too.
R.I.P Bernie Marsden 😪
Rip Bernie Marsden
That's the most beautiful version! John Lord was huge in this Song. Unforgettable...
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
We need to make rock n roll cool again.
1982: This song rocks!!!
2022: It still has the power!!!
Why wouldn't have the power?
@@user-mf5ue6rc5n🙄
2023: this song is indeed made in heaven
By far my favorite line-up of the band, seen the changes thru the years but 1st time saw them play and Mickey and Brennie working together songs like Love Hunter, Mistreated and so many more was sheer emotion.
Bernie isn't in this video it's Mal Galley. Coverdale had Sacked Bernie even though he co wrote most of Whitesnakes classic songs including this
@@lovekandy61 but it is Bernie playing on this version. It was recorded before Bedtime Left
He might well be playing on the recording but no doubt Coverdale would have tried to stitch him up again if he was
F'in miss the 80s son
I was today years old when I realized that I much prefer early 80’s Whitesnake over late 80’s Whitesnake.
One of the most sexiest singing voices of all time .. David Coverdale & Whitesnake Forever ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋
HAPPY 65TH B-DAY DAVID COVERDALE...One of the GREATEST FRONTMEN That EVER LIVED..
Jerome Lange your correct sir

The best version by a long way. Guitars are brilliant and as David sings here "Like a Hobo i was born to walk alone" none of this like a drifter s**t. Amazing from an classic album.
Come on, don't you think you're treating the remake a bit harshly
Evocative of Credence Clearwater harmonizing in “Down on the Corner”
I agree with Coverdale that "hobo" is HORRENDOUS.
He says he was glad that Geffen asked for a remake.......so he could REMOVE the clumsy "Hobo" line and replace it with "drifter".
(He said he originally had "Drifter" in the song, but he had already used "drifter" so many times in prior songs he went with "hobo", and immediately regretted it when it came out, ha ha.)
(FUN FACT: since Paul Rodgers of FREE & Bad Company was Coverdale's fave singer, it's no wonder he used the word "drifter" in so may songs!)
Excuse me mates, English is not my first language , what does it means "hobo"?
@@inddarbarreto1746somebody who does not have a home to live and sleeps on the streets.
Honey, like a drifter i was born to walk alone
This song never gets old! Whitesnake forever! \m/
Much better than the 1987 re-recording.
Both of them

Rest in Power Bernie 💜🙌thanks 4 the music
WHOA...never knew about this. It's great. Of course I love the big sound of the '87 version but this is quality in a different way. Excellent!
