A lot of great tips. Will try a pencil type torch.

Great video, I like that Husky finally angled the bar downward to make it easier to cut with.

Pole saws can be tricky and this unit is targeting the least experienced user. Agreed, its a good thing.

Soldered one of the 4 stroke guys kill wires together while he was in the bathroom. Took 15 seconds. Love it!

I wonder if that saw had ever been used, it looked so new.

The motor was $150 and I tried to talk him out of the repair. He said that the unit wasn't new but had very little run time so he had it fixed for less than replacement cost. Too bad it was out of warranty.

    Nice repair and tips!
As far as pruning and trimming I prefer my Jameson or Silky pole saws.

I think they mainly sell because someone already has another tool with that battery platform.

Sometimes larger tips help because they build up more heat

Solder flow towards the heat, heat the wire's underside and apply solder to the top of the wire.

@@TheGreasyShopRag You're welcome. Get some flux for electronic it will help to flow better not the plumbing acid flux it will corrode the wire!!

I've never liked battery powered soldering irons, I've got an old butane soldering iron that gets super hot. I'm always worried that it'll break one day and I won't find another I like as much.
I've never seen a brush take out a motor. What do you think caused it?

I never inspected the motor any further than to recognise it was junk. I'll have to see if its still laying around my work area.
