  • The Husqvarna 115iPT4 is the latest addition to their consumer line of battery powered equipment. It is available in a kit with a battery & charger, or available as a bare tool. The current price on the kit is around $230 so this is a great option for anyone looking for a pole saw that doesn't want to break the bank or deal with an extension cord. This saw is also very easy to store and transport because it is able to be easily split apart and reassembled when you're ready to use it again. The cutting head on this pole saw is angled so it makes it easy to cut down through branches while lowering the chances of pinching the bar and chain while cutting.

I’m going to post an update to my own comment based on my first use of the 115ipt4.
My first pole saw was the Harbor Freight cheapie, runs off AC power directly, oiler stops working after one season. But runs well for that one season. Throw away item it seems.
This one is heavier, very much so. You get used to that. But at first it’s REALLY noticeable.
This one is “smarter”. It senses “overcurrent” situations like the chain getting pinched, and it shuts down. You want it to power through and get the job done. Instead it says, “No thanks. And flashes a red triangle 🔺 at you”. At first you’re confused, so you bring it down from the limb, check it out. Power it off, back on. Ok, No more flashing triangle.
So there’s a learning curve. Baby it a little. It handled some nice size branches my first day. I used it for about 45 minutes, cutting here and there. The battery seemed fine. I got used to the excess weight. The portability sure was nice.
There’s a thought in the back of my head “why didn’t I by 3 of the cheapie Harbor Freight ones, spend $50 on beer and still have $25-$30 leftover?
      Trying to suppress that.

Thanks for the video. It is the only one that I've found on this saw. I have a couple of questions for you. If the branches are low to the ground does the angle of the blade make them difficult to cut? What size branches does this saw effectively cut? How long would you say it would take to cut a 9" thick branch, if that is even possible? How many watts is the motor?

I’ve noticed you have the husqvarna cordless blower also. Have you had any problems with the battery or the charger? Thank you for your Good reviews !!

We use the QC330 charger for our Husqvarna batteries. Just cause it's much faster. The only issue that we've had with the battery as far as the blower is that as they get used and thrown around we sometimes have to push them in, release them, and then push them in again firmly to get them to work. BUT it should be noted that the two 320iB blowers we have are the old Lowes SKU numbers so that might have something to do with it as well.

Husqvarna says its 4 m long but you say 10 feet. I dont get it. Who is right, you or the manufactor?

It is 2,25m long and can be extended to 2,85m. Husqvarna advertises a working height up to 4m, meaning 2,85m pole saw plus holding it in a given height.

Horrible Chinese saw they put their name on. Not a real Husky. Motor died after using twice. No factory service. Nearest service center is 2 hrs away and will take 3 months to look at it. Customer service is non existent. Remove all negative reviews after a week.

That is so much BS. Lol. Just return it or use it as intended. Trying to cheap out when you need it for commercial use isnt the way to go
