- In this video Tomas Ekström is showing me how to throw different rollers. What discs to use and not use and how to get those important angles just right. We´re going over rollers for distance but also flick rollers, scuba rollers and thumber rollers (the most important ones).
You might want to check out the anhyzer video we made also:

A bit about me if you´re wondering:
I started at Latitude 64° a bit over a year ago and been trying to learn the sport of disc golf and making videos of that process from that day onwards. Before that I hadn´t even heard of disc golf. So it´s been a really great and fun experience so far (still feel I have a lot to learn, tho) watching and learning from the people around me at work and the great tips from all of you guys. Thank you for that!

I would pay big money to see an honorary Jonathan disc called Breathe in celebration of his first tournament! Maybe print a glimmer profile image?
Yes, please!!!
I would buy 5
Needs to happen!
Give the guy foil control too, I'm sure that'll be an improvement. Loving the Latitude discs, underwhelmed by the foils.
Definitely needs a STROKE THE BOARD stamp - can put it on the Keystone since he throws it. Add it to the Pure, too
We NEED an official Jonathan Fuse with a version of his happy face he drew on it plus the word "Breathe" on it somewhere. I would take at least two!
😀❤❤
They should release a starter set with a bag that has the pyramid of fun, a putter/ mid/ fairway that all say "Breathe", and a Trash Panda mini!
This actually happened in the latest video!
@@andreasbrindedahl3064 Lol - I know - and they sold out in just a couple of hours, before I could even place an order 😏. Time to make another production run of them!
This comment aged very well
Honestly one of the better roller-tutorials out there in regards to understanding the angles a disc lands on, how the flight is mirroring the roll etc. Very good. Loved seeing Tomas back aswell, he's a straight G
Tomas is one of the best teachers out there. These tutorials are great, you ask the right questions and Tomas does an incredible job of explaining the how and why.
Yeah I love how Tomas is able to teach two peoples at once.
The audience AND put up with Johnathan's over the top ignorance.
Not quite as funny as when Johnathan actually knew nothing but still great stuff.
@@snikwahjets I think some of that is him playing it up to give Tomas something to build on. I know what you mean, but something tells me that he knows a little more than he lets on.
@@mrchewbacahimself7807 yeah do think he knows more than hes letting on. Especially that acting clueless is super entertaining and relateable.
BUT you can never be sure. 😉
Earlier on I'm pretty sure he knew very little except how to make great videos. 😀
I think the outro music actually suits this content surprisingly well!
Still the best disc golf clinic on the internet! PRICELESS
This may be my favorite video yet. Y'all have perfected information vs entertainment .
Thank you so much!
That session on the grass - cutes thing I've ever seen in DG
The music at the end 🤘🤘🤘
Lol this roller clinic is as perfect of a vid as I always imagined it’d be! Thank y’all so much for putting it out there. Watching the algorithms and arithmetic process through Jonathons head is priceless. Tricky business these rollers!
Anyone else just want to hang out with these guys? Freaking hilarious
Perhaps the best thumbnail for a discgolf video I've seen :D
It was Johannes idea. So can´t take cred for it :). But it turned out very well.
Closing music is awesome. More like that!
Noted! And I agree :)
Good humor, good music, hell maybe I play disc golf in the wrong country ;)
i actually like the outro music.
Absolutely love the videos and the music. Hello from USA.
Editing and soundtrack are on point! Entertaining AND useful information. Thanks for helping me post my best score yet at my local course. A +1
Thank you. That´s great! well done!
I like the music at the end 😂 not too aggressive. It just pumps me up to throw rollers
Good practice I've seen locally is throwing rollers to the next tee pad after your putt. Gives you 18 practice rolls per round...
Tomas returns! Great informative video - thanks!
This was so helpful, thanks guys! And entertaining as always, love it 🙏
Very good explanation and learning lessons guys! Keep it coming!
I just love the lessons from Tomas! You are so fortunate to be taught by him! Thank you so much for all the information! Keep up the great work, Jonathan! This channel has helped me a lot!
I immediately used the forehand flick rollers last week and it saved me a couple of strokes. Great vid as always!
Important topic!!
These are so good thanks Tomas!
I appreciate this. I’ve never been able to throw a roller
Thank you Thomas & Jonathan, that was very helpful fun video, love you guys away fun and very funny! Thank you!!!
Fantastic as always! Some of the best disc golf education content out there right now. [I'd also like to see a Jonathan signature series disc at some point!]
Another great video from Lat 64. Keep them coming. One of my favorite companies making discs and great content.
I needed this before my course today! I've thrown a roller that finished right into the woods... Prepared for the next time. Thanks for the video!
Very helpful. Thanks!
I enjoy all of your videos! Super informative while entertaining 👏👍
Keep turning out the content! The wife and I enjoy them a lot!
I love watching you guys. It’s always great content and information but with the dynamics of your interaction and humor, I learn, I laugh and you both make learning a wonderful experience instead of it all being so serious, which has always in my experience leads to me being annoyed with myself and ruining such a fun sport. Since I subscribed to your channel my game had improved and I’m having alot more fun on the courses.
I can’t thank you enough.
Hilarious, and informative. Great clinic guys, love your energy, keep ‘em coming! From Canada.
Tomas is a legend. And the two of you thinking sweinglish trying to talk. So good! Now i want to try rollers!
That outro music was fire
Great video, guys! I really appreciated the infographics and pop-up text like "*understable*" when explaining flippy discs
That song at the end 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
You guys are fantastic!
Awesome video guys! Great tips for rollers! 🤙🏾🤙🏾🥏🥏
Yes the overly aggressive music balanced very well your lighthearted demeanor.
Nice! Btw the music in the end there was fire!
The end is not overly aggressive. Disc golf and Djent are my two favorite things!
You guys are the best duo! Love your style. Keep it up! Makes me want to come visit your beautiful homeland.
so happy to see you and Tomas back together... also Johnathan your fingers are tight together on the roller should be spread out wide like Tomas's
This is rad because I just started learning rollers.
Learned a lot, thanks!
that ending music was very Rock'n Roller!
Great explanations🤜🏼💥🤛🏼
What a great roller video. Very informative. And like everyone else has said we need to have a breathe disc! The people want it, Latitude 64, make it happen!!!
@Latitude 64, another awesome video. “You should never ever throw your MAX” line made me re-watch your “Throw Better” video from a year ago. Tomas is still “da Man.” Wish he was my disc golf teacher… aside from these great video lessons. That “Throw Better” video set a HIGH BAR given all the great editing, but I like your choices of bumper music a lot. Look how far your skills progressed over a year. Nice job. Keep ‘em coming!!!
Loved the music.
Another nice video, thank you for sort of demystifying the magic of the roller game. Seems like you have to be some sort of sauce or to make it work but this help to take some of the edge off so to speak. I am now excited to go to a park and try out some of the tips on my disk to figure out what does what and when I might be able to take advantage of them. I think the stuff at the end was probably the most valuable and I second or third some of the suggestions for special discs made by previous commenter. There really needs to be some stroke the board Putters and paint the rainbow understable, or is it overstable, discs. I still have a lot to learn and really enjoy learning more about the game Through the wide eyed Enthusiast that is Jonathan and his grade teachers.
I love all these videos. You guys are fantastic.
Glad you like them ❤ /Jonathan
WHAT IS THAT SONG AT THE END?! SOOOO GOOD!
Kinda TesseracT -ish - I liked it too!💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 #DjentGolf
Haha I´m glad you liked it. It´s not a "real" song even tho it should be. but here it is
elements.envato.com/the-djent-BJKMMU3
Also, I absolutely loved the outtro music
can we get a video of Jonathan reacting to a pro tour event, in USA, I would really like him react to that, and he will maybe learn something as well
Writing this down :)
Explorer hoodie, so awesome logo. Maybe have to get one!
Awesome tips 👏
Great video! I need to do some field work to practice for sure.
Looks like a slightly different use of terms for throws here (at least as I understand from the Canadian / North American Ultimate world)
Ultimate
Hammer, Forehand Grip thrown up with disc vertically pans to upside down = Tomahawk in DG
Thumber, thumb in rim, reverse flight similar but generally shorter flight path to Hammer.
Scoober, fore hand grip, overhead throw, thrown almost upside down (parallel to ground), can be short pop over defence throw or with an overhead baseball motion quicker / less panning flight.
I think these descriptions
Distance Rollers, Backhand and Forehand and Shorter Escape Rollers Forehand and Backhand... work better. :)
That outro music was kickass, you should use it always 🤘🏻
love the outro music
Just a couple of Mother Father’s dropping Roller knowledge 😂 💪
good tutorial. I have been using a Latitude 64 Halo on an anhyzer forehand lately to great results. I throw it out about 280 feet and it rolls another hundred while going to the right(like the fairway). I just bought a rollo from innova to work on the scuba(?) rollers.
I need more yellow keystones! I love that disc!!!
That explorer shirt is so sick!
Top shelf mate
i been workin on my rollers. tern and orc for under stable destroyer and boss for stable. i need more lat 64! i only have a river rn...
I agree with everyone else. Jonathan needs a disc! Definitely name it Breathe. But it's got to be a distance driver right? If there's one thing Jonathan wants, it's gotta be distance! 😂🤣 Love you guys! Also great to see Thomas!
Did not know th SCUBA😍👌🏼
Those explore shirts are sick! As well as the overly aggressive music :)
Excellent! I've always wondered how to throw rollers the right way. My feeble attempts always crash and burn immediately.
When i throw Rollers it hurt like a hell! Feels the same as someone would stab my shoulder with a knife and Ot will remain to hurt a couple of weeks so your situation is better ;)
Looking forward to the new Breathe disc from Latitude 64*
i was on the course when this was uploaded. i live outside of the latitude discgolf terminal here in skellefteå :)
Nära och bra :)
Let’s go!
I propose a video challenge of beginner vs mostly rollers only. Normal puts are allowed within x distance of the basket. That would fun and showcase what rolles can truly do in the right hands.
Aggressive end music! 🤘
Dude I love your t-shirt. Where did you get the Explorer shirt? Great instructional videos!
Here are some shirts of ours =)
store.latitude64.se/collections/t-shirts
The music is great actually
Agreed :)
Hi guys, Shout out from Portland Oregon. Great tutorial, I learned a lot. Where are you guys from.
Hey man. Glad you liked it. We´re from Skellefteå, Sweden :)
I, too, love my Bolt but it is almost too much for my aging arm. My Diamond and Jade are becoming my go to discs. How would you rate them as rollers? I play mostly in Central Texas which is not known for nice grassy fields like where you shot the video.
Hey, John :). I think they could work for sure.
Great, a new throw to practice. Now I will be invincible...and happier in life.
I can confirm after today's practice that this works and I have a happier life
Love the thumbnail!
Thanks guys, perfect 👍😊
All Johannes idea :)
So I don’t throw many rollers because I am horrible at them. However knowing the stability of the disc controls the direction of the role makes me a little more ambitious to try. I also have noticed that throwing forehand rollers makes it a lot less awkward because I just have a control the angle of my arm instead of my back. (Is this is a normal practice)
Whats the song at the end? That's a sick riff!
Loved the closing music!! Artist?
Me too. It´s not a "real" song in that sense. It´s from a music downloading for your videos sort of song. Should be a real song tho!
It's always about the angle to the dangle ratio!
WHAT was the outro-music???!!! Me like ❤️🤟
It´s not a "real" song sort of thing. But here it is.
elements.envato.com/the-djent-BJKMMU3
Damn is he hilarious! I love his delivery.
Thank you, sir ❤🤟
I go scuba all day!!!!
6:17 🤣 me. Fine.
Thanks for teaching us how to aim that mother...father...son....
Okay but what’s the outro song because that slaps
Jonathan Disc - "Not Natural" Speed 14 - with the picture of him and Tomas at 7:53 - 100$ i would buy
Archangel roller :D
Jonathan! What is that outro music? I need this!
It´s thing "song"

@@Latitude64 I see, well thank you anyway!
