I just went through this drill with my little power washer. It's got the 190 cc Briggs mower engine....ran just fine weeks ago, and then I wanted to clean up my JD cart for new labels, it simply wouldn't start. I took the stroud off, and sure enough a mouse had shoved all sorts of grass into the fan...to the point that it was obstructing the air gap between the flywheel and coil. Cleaned it up and it started right up!

Those mice can make a mess for sure. A friend of mine years ago left his truck up north in Michigan at his dad’s cabin because it needed a starter or something I can’t remember. So I go up in my car with tools and parts to fix his truck and fish a couple days. We opened the hood and it was full of thousands of pine cones!!! I mean unbelievably. We cleaned it out and fixed it. His mom said put some moth balls or Irish spring soap pieces under hood. They said it was red squirrels that did it.

i guess mice like dark places,leave the hood open if you can and they will usually stay away
