      No.
      If you have an ordinary miscarriage through no fault of your own, and just the pure bad luck of pregnancies gone wrong, that is natural death.
      If you have a miscarriage because of drug abuse, that is more analogous to manslaughter. You have to be breaking a law already, and criminally neglecting the safety of human life, for it to be manslaughter.
      Similarly, killing someone in a run-of-the-mill car accident is exactly that, an accident. While killing someone because you were drunk driving, that is manslaughter.

    That 1/5 Americans think a 13 year old who has been raped should count the resulting child as a "blessing" is beyond disgusting. There are no words for how utterly wrong that is.

    • @Birtchman1
      @Birtchman1 Před 7 lety +21

      And that 13 year old having her unborn baby killed isn't disgusting?

    • @RandomTXDude210
      @RandomTXDude210 Před 7 lety +324

      Luke Natsvlishvili A minor medical procedure to terminate a potentially unviable pregnancy so a 13 year old doesn't have her childhood completely stolen and doesn't have to spend the rest of her life looking into a face that is half the face of the person who raped her when she was 13 years old. No, an abortion isn't nearly as disgusting as losing one's childhood and then being forced to spend the rest of ones life taking care of a child they are likely to hate. Of course, you're going to say "well, she can put the baby of up adoption". And then I point out that maybe she can't. Some cultures in America don't believe in that (just like some don't believe in abortions even in the case of child rape). Pretty fucking ridiculous that she might not be able to put up a child born of rape, isn't it? Now you know how the rest of us feel when people like you try to force raped children to give birth to their attackers child.

    • @Birtchman1
      @Birtchman1 Před 7 lety +10

      RandomTXDude210 Yes she can put the child up for adoption. That's probably the best option. And for your information, rape constitutes for less than 1 percent of all abortions.

    • @RandomTXDude210
      @RandomTXDude210 Před 7 lety +217

      Luke Natsvlishvili Not all raped children can put their kids up for adoption. Just like not all raped children can get an abortion. And whether it's 1% or 99%, it doesn't matter to the child that got raped and is now pregnant. But that's the problem most people on the right have such trouble with - they can't empathize. And they're all about ensuring no one has access to abortions, for any reason, pretending it's a religious thing, but as soon as that child is born your kind immediately forgets about that child. Then, typically, you guys go on social media to bitch and moan about welfare and food stamps and Medicaid, completely ignorant of the fact that unplanned (and that includes rape) pregnancies are a major part of the cycle of poverty. But, hey, why not ensure those children are born into poverty so you can forget about them until they turn 18 and it's time to celebrate them and send them to war (and then immediately forget about them again when they come home injured and need help).

    • @Birtchman1
      @Birtchman1 Před 7 lety +7

      RandomTXDude210 So now you're gonna use ad hominem attacks? Nice. A few points to clear up. You're wrong when you say not all raped children can put their child up for adoption. Yes, adoption is always an option and there's plenty of straight and gay couples out there that would gladly take care of the child. Yes, not all raped children can get an abortion. Now while I don't oppose abortion for rape victims as much as non-rape victims, it's still the taking of a life. And yes the percentages do matter. 1% of abortions being rape or incest victims is a HUGE difference from 99%. It would make more sense to support abortion if that were the case, but it's not. I do feel great sympathy (not empathy, because it's not possible for me to get pregnant) for a young woman who is raped, but at the same time you have the remaining 99% of people who are unrestrainingly doing the procedure, which I don't like. For your information, I'm not a conservative/republican. I'm called a moderate liberal but for this issue I am on the conservative side and it has nothing to do with religion (I'm not religious) cuz you don't need religion to know abortions are usually wrong. You then go on a rant about the right, ironically saying how they complain on the internet when you're doing that exact thing right now, making childish generalizations. The cycle of poverty is an issue, but having an unplanned baby won't hurt you if you give it up for adoption. Then you talk about a bunch of other made up stuff and yet still fail to justify abortion.

      A human Fetus at the time of a abortion "Unborn" .
      A fetus IS biologically a living organism. Every single biology text on the planet agrees on that point. So a abortion does "Kill" a living fetus.
      Human? A human fetus has unique human DNA. Not Chicken, or Cow but human.

    • @evem6154

      Plus, they want to force fetuses to be born that have no chance of survival, meaning that instead of a painless end to an existence they were never aware of they get hours or days of pure pain and suffering before they die.
      And many people will die without abortions. My body is wrecked, my friends kidneys failed, my former co-worker had internal bleeding from an ectopic pregnancy. People have cancer and need treatment. Fetuses die in utero and poison the blood.
      Instead of trying to reduce unplanned pregnancies and enabling people to carry out via sociatal changes they want to force births that harm and kill. There is nothing pro-life about that.

    There was a woman who got pregnant with her husband. She wanted to have this baby and already had a toddler at home. However, she was given a 5% of surviving the pregnancy. She scheduled an abortion, but was so upset she went to her church for support. They lectured her, humiliated her, guilt tripped her, and threw her out, saying things like "any good mother would take the risk for her child" and "you murderer, you clearly don't care about your child". On the day she was supposed to get an abortion, she stayed home. Skip ahead a few months. She gives birth. Congratulations pro-life people, you brought a baby into this world. The mother died. 3 hours later, the baby died. It's short life was full of pain and suffering, and it left a young husband and a toddler motherless and wifeless. Then the church held a big funeral talking about how "it was such a tragedy she was taken from us at such a young age" and "if only she could've lived". THEY indirectly killed her. SHE COULD HAVE LIVED. So if you're pro-life, I honestly don't feel strongly about that and that is a perfectly good opinion. HOWEVER if you are pro-life for the baby and ONLY the baby and you don't care about the mother or the family FUCK YOU.

They are not the good ones in this.

    It doesnt matter how anyone feels about abortion, it is going to happen. It is as old as civilization. Places that restrict access to abortions, only stop safe abortions. They do not actually drive down abortion rates, they drive people to extremes if they dont want to be pregnant. In fact, countries witht he lowest abortion rates have the most liberal abortion laws and the best access! Nobody thinks ' I want an abortion when I grow up ". It is not the easy option, it is uncomfortable and emotional. Restricting access to abortion only drives up maternal mortality rates and actually decreases the quality of life for existing children.

This copyright issue affects not only everyone who uses CZcams, it primarily affects the creators of course, which is absolutely not limited to music. Thats is just plain incorrect. I can give you a few examples such as reviewers, gamers, and animators. And those are HUGE areas. Those three categories alone cover probably over a million creators.
      A bigger issue are big companies exploiting "loopholes in *our* laws"? Hi, I would just like to ask, are you aware that the US is not the only country in the world? CZcams is worldwide, and this issue probably affects more people in a harder way. Oh you have to pay a little more tax? God what a disaster. I mean some dude might go homeless at any time because his channel and main income was shut down instantly without notice, but god damn we should focus on the problems that matter to YOU huh?

      "ending the life of a creature which can feel pain" NEVER kept people from eating meat :/ just saying...and it STILL is my decision, even if other's might not share this opinion (and omg i just wrote that on YT right? Haters incomiiing~). It is still happening in my body. Although i'm okay with that compromise with the second trimester. It's enough time to think about it. BUT a woman should have the OPTION to think about it and shouldn't have to go through some loopholes (AND high costs) to get an abortion if she decides to have one :(
      But there are also different circumstances. For example if the woman herself is in a bad mental condition OR if there's the chance of the child being physically handicapped. Not everyone is capable to go through that. Why would you still force a woman to bear a child?
      I know this is a really touchy subject but when it comes to my body i don't want anybody to have a saying in this but myself. And i really hope we can keep this polite.
      If someone is against it i won't judge you, you can do with YOUR body what you want but don't decide for other people.

The reason why is that during pregnancy your estrogen levels go up significantly, and one of the key growth inducers for breast cancer is… estrogen. So, it’s not the _abortion_ that causes your risk to rise, it’s the time having the baby _at all._ Which if you’ve done your maths, that tells you that _keeping_ your baby will increase your risks of breast cancer over abortion. :/

    It’s illegal for the government to bust down your door and demand you donate a kidney to save someone on the transplant waiting list. Organ donation is a personal choice and not mandatory because we respect the concept of bodily autonomy.
    It’s illegal to harvest organs from a dead person without their prior consent. Even if those organs are desperately needed to save another human being’s life. That’s how much we respect that person’s consent and right to their own body.
    But so many pro-lifers demand a world where a pregnant woman, no matter how early along she is, no matter how “at fault” she is for her pregnancy, is forced by the government to carry the zygote or embryo or fetus inside her to term, sacrificing this right for 9 months and shouldering all the potential risks of pregnancy and labor whether they consented to it or not.
    These pro-lifers are fine with a world that gives more bodily autonomy to a *corpse* than it does to women.

      Edit: to all that have started reading this thread now: I don’t have a stance on abortion anymore, or at least not one as well defined as had when I wrote these replies, so please don’t reply to me, as I won’t try to argue and I don’t quite stand by some of the things I said anymore. Lucas Urquiza I don’t believe you understand the point I am making here. Please read my comment very carefully. No where do I outright say a fetus is literally part of of the woman’s body (I *do* have my own opinions on that whole separate matter but it’s subjective at best and arguing them wouldn’t get either of us anywhere.). It doesn’t need addressing here specifically because I’m already making a generous comparison in my kidney example, because it assumes a fully formed, sentient human being’s life at stake.
      When I’m talking about bodily autonomy, I am not equating the fetus to the woman’s body, I am talking about the woman’s right to the rest of her body that sustains the fetus with nutrients and a habitable environment for development. The woman’s body that faces risks of complication and will undergo a tremendous stress and change should it carry the pregnancy to term.

She’s a baby having a baby and that’s so wrong, especially when there is rape involved.

      @@samoppedisano3994 honestly that 'potential for human life' is such a bullshit argument. when do you class something as life then? technically unfertilised eggs are 'potential life' so that makes women murderers every month under that logic. I know it's a more extreme example than you gave but the logic is basically the same. at what point does something become alive enough that you can force a young girl to give up her body autonomy and rights as a human being to preserve it inside her?
      I get that you want to preserve life in all forms and it is an admirable way to live in most cases. However when you are forcing one life to sacrifice their body autonomy to save another then you are putting the unborn 'potential for life' over a very real person's actual life. consider how traumatic it would be to carry the child of your rapist for 9 months, not just physically but emotionally. complications could also arise from that pregnancy (especially at age 13) resulting in permanent change to her body and mental state which could affect the rest of that young girl's life. none of which she had any way to opt out of because people like you who are in power think an unborn fetus is more important than her wellbeing and made it illegal for her to choose. it's a difficult situation but it should be her choice to make because it affects her.
      As an aside, do you know there are laws prohibiting the medical use of organs from people who have not signed up to be a donor? if someone dies, and a sick patient desperately needs an organ from that person to live, it is completely illegal to take the organ from the corpse unless that person signed up to be a donor while they were alive. Even though the dead person obviously does not need it, and another life could be saved by taking it, to do so would be inethical and completely illegal (as it should be).
      It's a sick world we live in where pregnant women are given less rights over their body autonomy than corpses.

    That's fine for places like Vancouver - there's about a dozen hospitals in easy reach of that city, most *in* that city, so St. Paul's can do whatever they want, but in smaller towns, you might be several hours from the nearest hospital, and if that one doesn't do abortions, it might be another several hours to get to one. And according to most studies, these women won't/can't finish high school, let alone go to college, leading to that they are not like to get a job that can support the family that they were forced to have. Disgusting. I say that if they don't want to have a child, they shouldn't, and they should get the care they need to for fill that.

      Tell that to the 1.5 million some odd kids stuck in the system, many never getting adopted.
      The answer is simple; make sex Ed a priority and treat it with respect. Other countries do that and they don't even have half the problems we do. Our sex Ed consists of basically "Don't have sex or you'll get pregnant. Now go adult and shit."

    I guess, you only can understand this law, if you fall one time too many off the rodeo cow.
    The Netherlands had the most liberal abortion laws early in the 1980s.
    There, too, people see nothing good in abortions, emphasizing that it would be nicer if the women could carry their child to term. But there is a deep understanding that this is not always possible. Despite they have general health insurance, payed maternity leave, payed parental leave, child benefits, free day care, special labor rights for parents, helpful social work, social security etc. etc. The women in Texas do not have such a support system. Their situation is even worse than that of women in Poland.
    Surprisingly, the Netherlands has the lowest abortion rate of all western countries where abortion is not prohibited, the lowest rate of teenage pregnancies and there young people are the eldest starting with sex. Because they are not governed with a crude interpretation of the Bible, but with reason. Children and adolescents are informed early about sex, it's not a taboo, not in families, not in school and not in churches, and contraceptives are freely available.
    The liberal laws in the Netherlands are an example that education, - sexual education, - affordable health care and social security for all and workers right for parents are the most effective forms of prevention, pro life. It's lot cheaper than running new prisons for all the women, nurses, doctors, taxi drivers. And it saves many "holy" lifes, those of the unborn and those of the living.

      I am pro-choice, but I can conceptually understand why strict pro-life supporters are so adamantly against abortion. In their view, abortion is equivalent to murdering an innocent infant. To them, saying that you can't ban abortions because that would be imposing personal/religious views on others would be the same as saying you can't ban baby-smothering because that would be imposing personal/religious views on others.
      I don't hold to this view and know that almost all abortions are done before a fetus is anything close to human in neural complexity. Still, their fervor is understandable.

    • @Left4Coragem
      @Left4Coragem Před 7 lety +30

      Nerdnumberone But still, many of the people who hold this view, can't defend with rational arguments.
      They always say that the fetus, while still isn't capable of living on its own, on the future it has the chance of growing into a person, but when i ask them if i should be charged by mass homicide if i was to turn off a fridge full of fertilised eggs, they say no. So the arguments they use are mostly emotional, specially showed when they try to pass legislation that the mother should be forced to look to the fetus and hear its heart beat on a exam before the abortion.
      Also i find funny that many of those same people are also against social welfare for poor families, so they care only as long you're pregnant, after that "fuck off".
