      I am glad you find it helpful. Try a thick wire that you can from into shape you can reach into this area. On one end place paper tissue and wrap it with piece of tape. Reach under this area and if the end with tissue is wet, you have found are where it leaks. Also if you are using antifreeze, they will create crystals as they come with contact with air. With good torch you should be able to see them.

    Thank you for the information which is very valuable. I have a w204 with exactly this om651 engine. I also have water leak. I will now check if it is the same part which is leaking

    Hi I had this Job done recently on my Vito. However its come back with a fuel leak. I can see from the video there are the 2 fuel pipes going into the fuel filter but are there any other fuel pipe you had to remove in this process. Just looking for what I could check.

    Since MB and Renault got together we see this sort of thing all the time, indipendant MB specialist garage, we see it all the time

      I was under impression that only A and B Class have shared parts and anything over C class up have all genuine Mercedes parts only ?

      Mostly the case but its across the range especially with alot of plastics, for instance the part in this vid is made by Purflux who are owned by you will never guess Renault as are allot of other parts, this engine is lovingly refurred to by the mb dealers as the chocolate engine, i thought the merc, chrysler combo was bad, but this is the worst batch of mercs yet, you wont be seeing W212,s in 20 years they will have gone the way of the dodo by then....

    Hi, i have same e220 w212, pressure pump is leaking, do you think have to remove all engine or any suggestions if its a big job ?

    • @maximlake9280
      @maximlake9280 Před 3 lety

      Do you mean water pump ? This type of engine has pretty good access to front part of engine and therefore water pump can be replaced quite easily and you dont have to take many parts out. It's about 2-3hrs job depending on experience of the mechanic.

      @@maximlake9280 thanks for your reply,,, not water pump... diesel is leaking under the engine,,,,fuel pressure pump
