Brilliant episode as always, my friend! I truly enjoyed the effort you put into this. Great stuff! I am not ready to annoint this band the next big thing, but they are growing on me fast! I will be uploading a video soon. Take care, my brother.❤🍻😎🙏
Great video Stephen, and love your take on this awesome band. These boys take me back in time as a young lad in the 70’s and their new album is so beach boys with those lush harmonies, especially “In the eyes of a girl”, which reminds me of “surfer girl.” Songs for the general public has Todd Rundgren and 10cc all over it, I love the epic “Hog” as well. Thanks for the info about their dad too, very cool.
hi steve, yet another new band to me that has a great sound for sure! really like the harmonies and hooks with cool melodies. seems like they have sone decent catchy tunes. will have to give them a listen and add to my artists i need to check out. thanks for sharing this steve, always fun and interesting to learn about these groups from you and your vast knowledge of music! take care, rob
Haha! I usually make a lot more random 'humorous' comments in my videos but I end up cutting them out... this time, I left them in. So, I'm glad you got a chuckle out of that one!
like one min in the 1970s...then 80s...then 60s..then now...love these guys. I have the Everything Harmony and plan to get the new album. Their videos are all over the place but worth a look for sure. Thanks and take care
Yup…I’m a fan. Both of my kids told me about them. I checked them out and like what I heard. The earlier stuff is ok, I love flashes of those albums quite a bit. Now the last one, Everything Harmony, I really liked…albeit it’s a tad mellow for me. The new one is a big step in the right direction for me. More my style! Although I’m hoping the last song, Rock On, is an early clue to the next direction. It has a tougher sound that I like. I love the new album, and will review it, but I’m hoping they toughen their sound a bit on the next one. But yes, it’s definitely fantastic! Cheers! 🍻 😎👍😊🙏
The Lemon Twigs supported the two members of the Who a couple of years ago and I was very impressed! Only got one album by them! But was pretty unaware what they have been up to! But will check out the new album! As a fan of 10cc I get it!
My favorite band of this time right now ...They are going to be at Pappy and Harriet's in Pioneer Town near Yucca Valley in November....Pappy and Harriet's has always been one of our favorite gigs...Peace and Love, Terry Tutor
@StephenSchnee NO, we are here in the LA area and have been since 1982....Yeah, I think the confusion was created by a couple of things that Matthew Street got wrong...No, The Numbers were ( and The Bordersnakes are) a full-fledged LA Band...As The Numbers, we played constantly "The Paisley Underground" bands ( The Bangles, The Three O'clock, Dream Syndicate, The LongRyders, Rain Parade, and a lot of others)...As a matter of fact, we used to rehearse at the same rehearsal studio ( and in the same room) as The Bangles....We were good friends at the time and Susanna Hoff's let me use her Roland Jazz Chorus Amp...We got another member after the Numbers Album was done to play rhythm guitar ( I have always been the lead guitar player, among other things). He happened to be housemates with Debbie Peterson of The Bangles and Sid Griffen of the LongRyders. The Bordersnakes ( our current band ) have been together for a long time. We normally get categorized in the Americana genre, but we have a new album almost finished which returns us to our original influences: The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Byrds,Left Banke, and even a surf instrumental ala The Ventures....Peace and Love, Terry Tutor
Just finished listening to their latest album, A Dream Is All We Know after watching your video. Great melodic pop, short concise songs with great harmonies and hooks. They're playing in Sanford, FL this Friday, which is 2 hours from where I live. I may check them out. Thanks for spreading the word about these guys. Take care Stephen.
I've been to several of their shows. They are phenomenal live!!! You shoud absolutely go. ...It will be definitely be worth the trip... and Thank me later.
I've been a fan for about 18 months after Mazzy mentioned them in one of his videos and I bought all the previous albums and EP about six months before Everything Harmony came out! It's crazy how good they are, and I know they're very derivative but it's hard to not be carried away but how beautifully crafted, memorable and catchy it all is. Elliot Roberts on his channel posted the best interview they've done yet. czcams.com/video/QlR8cYgaZJI/video.html
That's the good thing about VC channels... you might get turned onto something new or reminded of something you may have forgotten about. Mazzy turning you onto the band was a great thing! This is a worthwhile band that really seems to be taking off with this new album!
I’m still not 100% in on this band. Some tracks really do it for me while others just aren’t for me. Originally I wasn’t into them at all but bit by bit I am getting there.
Yeah, I totally get that. But when it hits, it hits. Kinda the same with a lot of other bands for me. There's been plenty that I didn't 'get' right away but when I finally connected with it, I was full on into it!
Best band on the planet right now
Great video Stephen, so cool that these guys are showing up all over CZcams. I think their best record is the latest, just jangle pop goodness!
Thank you, Sam. Isn't it crazy good how so many people are into the Lemon Twigs. Great to see all the love on FB and YT!

Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on a few videos here, Terry. Very much appreciated. And this band just keeps upping the ante!!
LOVE the Twigs! The Beatles, Beach Boys, Raspberries, Rundgren, Simon & Garfunkel Big Star, and more live again, but in a unique way.
In my opinion, they keep getting better!

You made me lol talking about your brother. Gonna check these guys out. Thanks for the heads up Mr. Schnee.

The new singles for their upcoming new album have all been bangers. I cant wait to hear it!
It is fabbo, Tim! Came out two days ago here. I thought it'd 'be out in Canada, too!

Glad you are digging them to a certain extent. I think you 80% dig 'em... but you'll soon be at 100%! GIVE IN TO THEIR AWESOMENESS!! :)

Ian, you must ALWAYS be awake! Thank you for always checking out the videos. Very much appreciated!
Just got their new one yesterday. Haven’t listened to the whole album yet, but what I’ve heard ...WOW!
Crazy good, DC. And in your honor, I wore my scratch 'n' sniff salmon shirt!
@@StephenSchnee Atta boy!
Hey Stephen, I never really cared for these guys until just now. Thanks!!!
Hey Tim!! Glad to see you are back in Casa de Tim!!
Great info and spotlight on this band. Going to see them live this Saturday. Cheers! Chris
I hope you enjoy (ed) the show. So many folks are catching them on this tour and posting here on YT and on FB. Very exciting time!

Without revealing the city, what state are yo living now, Terry? For some reason, I was thinking you were an East Coaster!
I thought all those LA gigs you talked about was when you were touring or visiting CA. Now, I'm assuming you are a West Coaster!
