I wish he would put out some unreleased material from earlier in his career. I have tracked down pretty much everything officially released and a lot of bootleg recordings too. Would love to have gotten that Australian edition of Forever Blue - its probably my favourite of his albums.
Great video Stephen!!!! Absolutely ❤ Chris Isaak. He is my favorite act to see live, great singer, funny, tight band, handsome, super stylish, he's not to be missed live. The last time I saw him in concert there was a young woman walking out of the theater in front of me, probably 21ish, could tell from the way she was talking she had no idea who he was prior to her going, she said to her date I can't believe how much fun that was! Took an old boyfriend to see him and he said to me, there's an awful lot of women here, (You know because that's women have terrible taste in music 🙄) he was very skeptical, less than 10 minutes in he turns to me and says this is a really great rock and roll show. Loved that I told you so moment maybe even more than Chris Isaac lol. Finally, one time I saw him at the Fox Theater in Detroit which is a very fancy beautiful historic location and the ushers wouldn't let anybody dance in the aisles, so he invited the entire theater up on the stage to dance with him, he's just so awesome!
Hi Marcia! Thank you for all those stories! I only saw him live once (the Beyond the Sun tour) and it was fantastic. It was an outside amphitheater and he actually left the stage and walked around through the crowd.... up and down the stops of the amphitheater, which I thought was pretty fun!
Chris is the real deal. I’m so sad that I was out of town on business for this last Record Store Day, as I wanted that Beyond the Sun from my local store, and I tried other stores as well, and all gone. 🙁
Silvertone wre both guitars and amps...We played with him on his way up at Cathay De Grande ( remember that club?)...Always been a huge fan....Peace and Love, Terry Tutor
a great video on this amazing singer, i first heard him way back on a tv show over here in the uk when he song blue hotel and i was hooked, then wicked game was all over MTV, over here an album called wicked game was released picking the best of the first three albums plus an instrumental version of wicked game, i then got those albums and everything since, baja sessions is so cool, lost track for a bit then heard baby did a bad bad thing and not looked back, the sun album is great, cheers man
Thanks for watching and commenting! Do you not have the album because you don't like it or just cuz you haven't gotten around to getting it yet? At least you have all the others!!
After San Francisco Days/Forever Blue..the quality goes down. His early, late guitarist James Wilsey had a big influence....been a bit average ever since. Still phenomenal live though.
I love his voice and his Pop chops. I do understand that many folks missed Wilsey's distinctive guitar on later albums, though. and I did see him live once and he was tanstastic!

I've been a big fan of Chris Isaak for years, even watched his Showtime series!
He's not the world's best actor, but he makes it work. He's never less than charming!

Oh, I missed that he had an RSD title. I mean, I don't buy vinyl but I would have mentioned that on this episode!!

I remember that Wicked Game compilation. It sold very well as an import over here! Thank you for watching and commentng!
I have all of Chris Isaak’s albums on my iPod/iPhone except his 1987 self-titled album “Chris Isaak”.

@@StephenSchnee I may have to look for the album at the library or buy it at a used cd store.
