you don't have to do your dishes every nite esp when something needs soaking. If you are tired, go to bed. The dirty dish police will not come after you, believe me. You are such a good mom and housekeeper. Keep it up.

You can remove the residue on your frying pan with vinegar. Then rinse with cold water. I do it to all my stainless steel pans and it works like a charm.

I have multiple cut boards, from cheap ones to fairly expensive ones, and I often put them in dishwasher. I had one, that broke at the first time in there, but some cutboard is really massive. And the thing is, that it doesn't matter if it was expensive or not. I think it's the way they made it, or the glue they use, or the wood/or else they made out of.
Fingers crossed mine doesn’t snap in there 🤣 although I’m reading comments and it sounds like there are certain wooden cutting boards that can go in the dishwasher!

You should never put anything wooden in the dishwasher or in water to soak over time it will dry out and split. And you should also treat your wood utensils or cutting board once a month or so by rubbing olive oil on then.

I would only move the pan holder a little bit to the right side (and fix it) so that you can put the big Pan on the left side. The thick cover you could place it in your empty space of your pan holder.

Hi, Catherine! I was wondering if you've ever tried using Monkey Hooks to hang things on your walls? They only leave a very small hole and can hold quite a bit of weight. They would be perfect for your veggie rack that you hung on the wall as well as many other things!
I am a veteran ICU nurse so I disinfect everything. The dishwasher is my friend to do that that. I know I am very persnickety but with good reason. Only reason why I have not contracted many far more more deadly bacteria and viruses. Hand washing properly is key. I cannot stress that enough. Instacart btw can be a lifesaver if you are extremely busy. Expired food can often be safely eaten beyond the best by dates. Real Simple has a lot of free info on that. I only purchase 2-4 days food for fridge. The rest is in my freezers including bread. Most of the time yes I do shop twice a week for fresh fruits, veggies, and perishables. You lose nutrition value and increase your chance of botulism if food is consumed from fridge beyond that date. You could also buy a small freezer and find a way to store it inside that cabinet for extra freezer. Vaccuum packing food for freezer prevents freezer burn and also you can store it longer safely and uses less space. Worth the expense. Costco has a great one (fyi). Hope my tips help someone.

I used to wash my wood cutting boards in the dishwasher. Mine cracked after about 2 years. I have nicer ones now, so I hand wash them! I also got a 2-tier organizer from Aldi for $10 and love it! Thanks for the suggestion!

To clean cookware of your kind use bicarbonate soda and vinegar and citric acide to clean ...or if short on supply just coca cola on low heat for 5 minuts and hot liquide reuse on exteria to clean ....no abrasive scooters!!!

It’s been fun ... I keep a soup/stock bag for veggies and stuff, cheese freezes really well, and I’ve been freezing fruit for smoothies (making me eat out less) tks covid 15🤦🏼♀️🐷

Our spice cabinet is an old ironing board cabinet that was built into the wall. You can fit 5 jars across and 4 in front staggered. (Round) Ours is pretty full. I think there's 8 shelves. Bottom is more open so containers like an chili 1# container (or paprika/garlic, etc) is stacked 2 high. We get creative. 😀

Yes, they do crack. One of mine started cracking so I’ve stopped putting in the dishwasher. I still put my other one in though 😬🙈
What do you think of using truck bed liner paint on your kitchen cabinet shelves instead of cabinet shelf liner? Its paint so it will only come in solid colors but i figure it would be much
more tolerable to sliding your pots and pans across it for years after.

I would hand wash a wood cutting board. I put my plastic cutting boards in the dishwasher.
I wish I could fit my spices on one small rack lol. I am a home chef so I probably have abt 30 spices that I use regularly. I am trying to find a functional system for a very small kitchen (even smaller than yours). The struggle is real lol.

I also don't put wooden spoons in the dishwasher. I need to clean out my garage freezer and home freezer today. Garbage day tomorrow and things get lost when you have too much space. You were saying you need more space and I'm having trouble with too much space. LOL

I only buy acacia/hard wood boards now, they are more forgiving with the occasional run through the dishwasher.

Btw your chopping board are not wooden but bamboo ...its soak water and at some poi t will breack in many pieces as bamboo is glued in most products ......I dont recomend it for dumpy kitchens and bathrooms ....wood was used only as utensil holder as taking heat well and was used next to stoves ....this days no need for it .

I don't put my wood cutting board in the dishwasher that often because I have the perception that wood absorbs soap chemicals..
I like to hand was everything wood(cutting board, spoons etc). Wood can absorb water so putting it in the dishwasher shortens its life. Also, I don't like the idea of it absorbing dirty water lol
After breaking 2 cutting boards in the washing machine, I now handwash them 🤣🤣
