@@jessearriaga5580 I actually have that pair he showcased (just in red) and they’re everything he said. I have yet to test the water resistance but they don’t fall out of my ear and a single charge last me the whole day. Another fun fact is that the case can wirelessly charge. They’re worth their price.
Cleetus- “It hit the boost safety!”
James- “Turn that shit off!”
Lmao had me rolling.
🤣🤣🤣 "Boost safety. We ain't gonna' need that where we're going" 🤣🤣🤣
It took 60psi to pop last time, clearly that means it'll take 59...
@11:04
Put a body on Leroy he will go a 6
Ironically, if they were going to hurt the engine anyway, this would have been good advice
Does anyone else appreciate James reading off those time slips? Like a boss
Like he was born to do it . James gives a hell of a post run interview.
Yup, reads it like a pro.
I like the part where he talks about the numbers
yes! its a perfect delivery, all the important info, compact and clear! love it!
The cast on this channel is more dialed than their race cars.
You know Cleeter, I feel like someone on the team needs a shout out. I have never seen Zach be negative, not once. He literally has a smile on his face every single second he’s filmed and you can tell it’s genuine. Even when something doesn’t go as planned and Leroy breaks or the f150 t-case chain snaps he explains what went wrong with a smile on his face!
Idk, I wish I had his positivity. Zach your the man 🤘
Yep, big up to Zach from me, across the world.
👏👏👏👏👏
Amen!! he loves every day, definitely looks like that!
It's like when you take your retarded nephew to the video game store to give his parents a break. He has a BLAST! SO CUTE! 🤣
Being negative in any situation never helps. Stuff breaks that just means your trying.. always look for the lesson learned in every situation
11:01 Cleet: "It got into the boost safety again." Jackstand: "Turn that shit off." LOL
God bless Sam for NEVER wearing an untucked upper deck. What a legend.
Lmao 🤣
I had a good laugh in one video where he had his hoodie tucked in, lol
Sam’s is a class act. He’s from a better generation!
Lol why would he… he’s got the stomach for it. The rest of us…eehhh not sa much!
Man of culture.
I really enjoy when James breaks down the time slip. Quick, clear, and tells you just what you need to know. True racer
There is still way too much anti squat (first error) in rear suspension (bar angle value is too high). Rear suspension still tops out and loses a lot of traction. You can see it in the datalog; when suspension tops out, and tire makes its last "extension", then acceleration/ G value drops.
(second error) And there is way too much rebound damping, because they try to control the extension (which is caused by the first error) of the suspension, which does not allow tyre to go back down to track, and rear tyres loses a lot of traction. You can see it in the datalog; rear suspension does not move back and forth, it just extends continuously, and graph is almost straight line from start position (loaded sag/ car sitting still) to top out.
(third error) Because they do not have traction, they try to use traction control, to "get back" traction. They can not get it back because it is already lost with too aggressive anti squat and rebound damping.
(fourth error) "Nothing works" but they just add power/ more boost (and almost kill the engine? luckily boost limit is there...). Power is nothing without traction.
So, what should they do? Turn down the boost to some basic setup. Turn down TC to basic level. Then they have controlled setup. And don't touch it until you get the grip back.
First step to get the grip back; less anti squat/ bar angle value must be lowered at least to level where rear does not want to top out and stay topped out. It may top out momentarily at some point (especially if there is a dip in the track surface), but it can not top out for longer time period.
Second step is to start loosen the rebound damping to allow the suspension to do its basic job (extend and compress in controlled manner) which is; keep the tyre on the track surface.
Compression damping may also be too tight, but i is hard say anything about it because at the moment rear suspension still does not work at all because too much anti squat and rebound damping, so compression damping is not visible in the datalog or rear view camera angle.

Honestly, Sam is one of the best things to happen to this channel. So good.
It appears that Leroy knows how to make content. That's why this channel is so great. He said, I could go a 6 but I need my screen time first. Just like every milestone, he loves drama.
im starting to believe, and trust me, TRUST ME, im not a hippy of any sort, but cars get so charged with the energy around them, they develop some kind of personality...

A damn national treasure man, I wish I live to be that old and jolly
Absolutely spot on. The quality of Sam's retirement went up exponentially when ol' Jackstand moved into the house next door.
Cleet "hit boost saftey James -" you need to turn that shit off" pure gold 🤣😂
Cleetus: “it hit the boost safety!”
Jackstand: “turn that shit off”
I love these guys
This reminds me of the old LeRoy days. The struggle for the stick shift world record. Making passes with a hurt engine and fighting through the pain of being so close to the goal. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Can't wait to see more. I know LeRoy has it in him
Leroy never had the stick shift world record. He was the fastest stick shift GM, but never overall.
@Phil B you knew what I meant, didn't you?
Is that what they call him in France?….LeRoy……
Exactly! That's what keeps me coming back. I see Leroy in the title or thumbnail...click!
@@josua8448 Yes, but I want to be clear that Leroy was never close to the overall record.

I gotta say, George’s camera work is the best on this channel so far. Feels like a documentary. Really cool vibr

It’s crazy watching the transformation of Leroy from just a car to a brand and one of the most famous cars of his time and it’s nowhere near over!
That's why he's a savage brother man...
The rear end Ty built made Leroy pass from an un-aerodynamic brick to a hot rod. I’ll be the first to admit I thought Leroy was past his prime. The new rear end made Leroy live up to his name: the SAVAGE.

I think aero is the greatest hinder to get to the 6s. The front and rear is now creating massive drag, it's amazing that you can get it up to over 310 kmh in 7 seconds. Fantastic team and build xx
Leroy needs a bikini fairing… all those tubes out in the wind! Hell, stick a Z06 front bumper on and cover that tank and front wheel transition and it’ll probably pick up a few hundredths at the big end.
cleet always pulling the laundry early cuz the track run down is too short. shakes fist
Not a big car guy, stumbled upon your channel somehow? but boy I sure am rooting for you to get under a 7 in Leroy, you guys are infectious to watch and cheer on. Be safe and burn some damn rubber!
You have a archive of his journey that will make you so happy for this man. Please go back years and start watching from there. Every episode is worth the watch
Congrats on the PB! Leroy is making you work for that last 100th. Its crazy how we chase down a certain number. How we get so frustrated because we are one hundredth of a second off from that magical 6.99. I remember when you ran your fist 8 in Leroy, and the heart pumping race to 7's. I remember getting something stuck in my eye that night.. lol Im so proud of the team, how far yall have come in such a short time. And want to thank you for all the countless hours of entertainment you brought us over the years. The "Window Net" is hilarious 😂

i love how un prepared sam was when George asked him "Tell me somethin" xd
Not gonna lie, taking out the passenger seat and being able to see the suspension separation from the in-car is awesome
Fully agree, Totally awesome! It's a great visual lesson about how separation works.
Id bet just about any minor weight reduction or aero improvement would put them over the threshold to 6’s (I’d be looking for these things to help save stress on the engine / clutch out the back).
@@ericschumacher5189 100% they’ve already tested and found the car is terribly un aerodynamic. If they found a solid body that it would fly past the 200MPH mark at the top end. But I kinda think at this point it not having a body style is the character of the car…

And Pete’s channel to watch him rebuild/upgrade Leroy’s engine.
Never seen cleetus upset about Leroy running his fastest pass.
Something that gets overlooked. Still an epic new PB, wasn't long ago at world cup where you were talking about the stick shift cars which were in the 7.20-7.30 mark like wooahh these things are fast. Now you're consistently hitting 7.0-7.2 pace. Insane improvement from the 7.70-7.90's you were running on the old suspension set up.
That said it is at a very sticky track, hoping the traction control work is going well because its going to need it at some of the other tracks.
There is still way too much anti squat (first error) in rear suspension (bar angle value is too high). Rear suspension still tops out and loses a lot of traction. You can see it in the datalog; when suspension tops out, and tire makes its last "extension", then acceleration/ G value drops.

I know Leroy will never get body work in the traditional way BUT .... would a flat floor from the front portion of the car to meet the factory panels be an option to reduce some of the drag without altering Leroys looks much, if at all? Could add lil removeable panels in there for when you guys work on the clutch and all? Just excited as hell to see you guys so close and wish we could all help! love the vids as always!
Happy it wasn't clutch adjustment complications this time. That is great progress, but it seems that the engine is the limiting factor as of now. 🤔 Still can run 6.90s ringing it out 🏎 🏁

George’s commentary is always on point! 😄
Imagine this car with a bit of aero.. Insane pass, great job
you should do some clear body pannels to help with drag i feel like its getting out of hole just fine but is creating lots of drag at high speeds
I like your idea on clear panels. He's refusing to do it for aesthetics but that really is the breaking point for this car is the aero. Worse than a square body pickup. Can't really make much more power with the current engine setup to overcome it. I think if they wanted to keep that look but improve the aero at least some they could learn a lot by looking at open wheel racecars or stuff like the Ariel Atom. Get something on the nose to get that air moving up and over the car. Put front wheel covers on. Maybe put a little deflector at the top of the windshield to get it up over those bars cleanly. Bring back the old rear spoiler and set it neutral to complete the top. They could also do some work underneath with a front belly pan and a rear splitter. Might be a bit tougher to work on, but if you did everything with that in mind the panels could be made to come on and off very quickly. Don't need to worry about a radiator when you're running methanol either so getting air into the engine compartment is not an issue. Opens up a lot more possibilities.
