What I don’t understand is, there’s a dale truck designed to turn left. Ownership of a circle track (designed to turn left), and no content of the dale truck on the track 😔🤔 that truck gets no airtime. Such a bummer

Whenever lifting an engine out, you will always test the tensile strength of at least one wire, hose or clamp.
When your shop has a tool dedicated to cutting open oil filters to inspect for how much damage, you know you’re doing something right! Hell yeah brother!

I have absolutely grenaded an engine while driving on a bridge and heavily contemplated just drive it over the edge.

Get the clutch checked out. I second the thrust bearing failing. We just finished a LT4 at the machine shop that had a near identical heat mark on the crank. Thrust bearing failed and the debris took out the other bearings. Culprit was a twin disk clutch putting to much pressure on the crank. Just a FYI.
Preston Phillips so the slave was shimmed too close or the fingers required too much force to open?
Could be a compound of the clutch and the pressure of the blower on the crank that blew the thrust out

It's a thrust bearing, been there done that, except mine knocked out the pump in my TH400. SBC/BBC have thrust bearing on the 5th bearing, LS and LT's have them in the middle, that's why your counter balance looks the way it does.

It was cranking really slow and uneven. Could be bearings or a broken piston ring land. That could explain the oil leaks. Maybe a ton of blow-by and oil came out the catch can?

It's weird he gets all disappointed when his cars blow up given the horrendous abuse he gives them. His 29,000 miles is equivalent to 160,000 miles in a stock c7 that was respected and looked after. To start with the engine didn't blow up. There was a problem, sounds like the thrust bearing on the crankshaft is worn, find the cause go from there.
I mean his rich so why wouldn’t he have a great attitude when he can just ask Texas speed to give him a 1000hp engine

You can't tell just by looking at the rod caps and say there fine. You remove the caps and inspect the bearings. Just disassembly the complete engine and inspect.
