    The Toro is insane with the air volume. Being able to rotate the nozzle all the way up and down is the game changer.

    I just purchased a used hurricane z3 this machine is a beast! I upgraded from a walk behind little wonder. Don't get me wrong I've owned the little wonder for over 10 years and it was a great and powerful machine. But nothing else compares to the hurricane. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning every time I use it.

      Hurricane sucks.
      Their customer service is suspect and their hydros, as well as solenoids for the deflectors, fail regularly. When they work they work great...but that's the problem.
      Buy the Scag Windstorm. Much better. I have both and we rarely use the Hurricane anymore. It's too temperamental.

    Such a fantastic machine-37 hp vanguard -Forget those 3 doors to open and close on the hurricane 👎 the Toro is not even in the game-The nozzle direction system on the Scag is unbelievable - makes fall clean ups fun again!!!🍁

    We have 2 x3's hurricanes, they are alright, we mostly use them for cleaning up places after we mow. They are ok in leaves. The two we have had are electric nightmares, with control boards going out and chutes not wanting to open. We like them because they fit on the trucks with all the equipment. We had an old scag turf tiger we striped down and mounted a Buffalo turbine to, that thing was a beast, the turbine is twice the size of the toro, right now we have it mounted to a skid that we put on our steiner tractor. Blows the x's we have out the the water. Thinking about taking it off the skid and mounting it to an old scag vride.

    It seemed to me like the Toro was moving the pile easier. But I do agree that the Hurricane has more power. But I still like the Toro better for overall volume of leaves being moved.

    The pro Force gives you the ability to lift up your nozzle to not shoot mulch all over. Also parking lots the pro Force you can minimize dust. Yes the hurricane has more power, no it's not as agile.

  • @richardrushton6635
    @richardrushton6635 Před 2 lety +2

    Seems to me the Toro might be underpowered
    But you can knock down a pile of leaves because of the adjustment of the snorkel when leaves a sticks get mixed in so there is no need to get off the Toro because you can blow off the top of pile of leaves I used a hurricane a Z3 and it blows at a low center of force and piles the leaves quick when you are cleaning a large property

    Just purchased the fb1000, those big ones really didn't fit my biz or box truck. Sure better than a back pack alone. Even more versatile with the 8010. Saves at least 30 minutes minimum every parking lot. I am more concerned with the exhaust system. Seems the left cyl head is taking a lot more heat than necessary. Should have made a dual inlet muffler. Everything has tradeoffs. You learn to live with them, sometimes they let you go to the races.

    I work at the mower shop and if you do not keep the Hydro area clean between the two rear wheels you will burn out the wheel motors , we need to change that oil often take the panel off and blow it out with a long stick metal blow gun ! hard to believe how many leaves gets back in there

    • @ziggybrothers
      @ziggybrothers  Před 2 lety +1

      The middle chute has the least amount of power and I use it primarily for driveways
      The left side can adjust to any setting you want . For example. I’ll have it more shut in the spring time to do spring cleanups . There is also a pin you can hook up to keep the airflow all the way open and have a baffle in the halfway position at all times. Or the right side which is either opened or closed. Has a ton of power that way too but it’s open full

    I hate the Z3. We have a Z3, an X3 and a Scag Windstorm. The Scag is far superior and it’s not even close. The Z3 having the impeller directly off the motor is the only positive in my opinion. The electric brake goes and the actuators always have issues. Too many electrical and moving parts.

    Disagree with your choice. Not accurate. Lot of physics involved here... that is weighted towards the Hurricane. Without going into explanations of everything, when you have the exhaust nozzle that close to the ground, and blowing almost level to the ground... you get a far greater force on ANY object laying in front. (as apposed to blowing at a downward angle to start with...) And the leaf blowing part I feel they were both equal anyway. The TORO is a far better and more useful machine.
