Absolutely keep the velvet romper! I think it will lend itself to fall events and holidays too
The red dress looks great on you but WOW, that jumpsuit! Incredible! What a fantastic find for you.
That pretty little romper could be made to fit better by adding a strip of coordinating fabric at the top and/or bottom of the midriff band. You could add a strip of the same fabric as edging to the legs as well just to make the addition(s) seem original to the garment. Or use bands of cotton lace backed with fabric matching the lace color. There are lots of easy fixes for a too-short-in-the-crotch romper.
She could cut a piece of the belt straps (they look long enough) to add the exact same fabric to the bottom of the shorts

I love that thrifting is a great way to try out an item for less money. If it doesn't work out it can just be donated back.
When I saw you in that velvet romper, my jaw dropped, what an amazing piece on you!!!!! And thank you for showing the pieces that don’t work as well! Love seeing both sides of thrifting, as I’ve been there too where I’ve taken a chance on items where there isn’t a change room.

It would a great video idea ( in my opinion) 😂 to do a follow up video maybe yearly on what you have kept, modified or redonated or even sold from this (or any hauls).
The pink color is great (not the cut) - you do look good in it.

The jumpsuit looks amazing on you! I hope you keep it. It's one of those pieces that maybe won't get a ton of wear but when it's the right occasion, it's just so unique and fun.
Thanks! Yeah I'm really hoping to have more occasions for it. I'm also thinking because of the velvet it might make a great holiday party outfit - so hopefully will get to wear it some more times this year

The jumpsuit you got for the event was such a great find! 😍I have totally given up on finding rompers and jumpsuits in stores, as I am tall with a long torso (and a bum in a different size to the rest of the body). I really need to hit the thrift stores too and find some new pieces.

The top on the romper fits really well, would it work if you kept it as like a body con suit and put shorts or a skirt on over the bottoms? I do that often with my dresses to get more outfits out of them lol
Your first piece, the silk tank, made me think of the asymmetrical trend with the way you tucked one side, given its length. I never thought of doing that kind of tuck! I’m going to try it with some of my longer tanks. I understand cute but unflattering! I find pieces that are so beautiful but end up being intolerably unflattering. I appreciate your candid thoughts about these pieces you picked up!

Fun! I’m a larger girl too and thrusting can be challenging. I love the romper but I have the same issues with length. Could you change it into a blouse/tunic maybe?
When you thrifted these pieces, did you find most of these in-person or online? Do you have any favorite places for thrifting in-person?
Both! I got some online, some from large thrift stores, and the jumpsuit from a consignment boutiques. I don't really have a favorite, it more so depends on what item I'm looking for.
