- A great meal in the Tavern of the Farnsworth House. The atmosphere was so good with the items on display from the Gettysburg movie added to it. The meals were both very good and we highly recommend them.

What a wonderful place to eat. Quite the historical building. Love the Civil War stuff. Food looked awesome especially the apple pie. I have 2 civil war music cds. Love that music too.Thanks for sharing!

Ahh man, In 2019 I walked past that place, but didnt stop. I remember it being crowded. I was staying at the Colton and was walking to the Blue and Gray restaurant. Next time I will stop in July 2022. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a really interesting place! Love the Civil War history. That's one of our favorite things! You mentioned Longstreet, which for us, is a historical icon in our town in Georgia. Really great video. The peanut soup is something we'd probably pass on too!

I've been past that place several times and never stopped. You went to Gettysburg at a good time. I like the spring and fall to tour the battlefield.

Ah; the old Bonanza. And its first cousin, the Sizzler. I always thought they were both had pretty good salad bars and reasonably good steaks for a low price. Bonanza had more optionality; but the Sizzler had a better salad bar if I recall correctly. This and the "King's Table" buffet were about the only places we went as a family back in the 1970's when I was a little kid. Pizza Hut was the end-all, be-all and they were awesome back then. But, yes sir. We were always happy to go to Bonanza or Sizzler. Doesn't look much different from what I remember.

My friend and I ate at the Farnsworth House Resturant this past Oct. We both got Prime Rib and mashed potatoes…..couldn’t chew the meat and how can you screw up mashed tatars, but they did! Expensive too…Wished we would have tried the tavern instead….
We have never eaten upstairs. We have always eaten in a tavern. We like the atmosphere.😎😎

It's very nice. Great history feel to it. Gettysburg is one of our favorite places that is why we are doing so many vlogs there. Nobody does that area much. Have several more to put out from here😎

Because it was really before lunch at 10:45 on a Sunday morning in the off season. The night before you couldn't find a seat outside or inside and it had just rained. We try to go early to shoot videos before people get there.😎

If you like Elvis, you should check out Pastor Bob Joyce. People are coming to his church from everywhere. In one of his videos I saw Rod Stewart. The gossip is that it really is Elvis. Shut your eyes and you would swear that you are listening to Elvis. Not an impersonator but Elvis. Since I found it I can't quit watching.
We have seen him. I think Spa Guy went to his house and talked to him. He is very good and people do want to believe it is Elvis. There was only one Elvis. Thanks for great comment and watching 😎

It didn't like a peanut butter sandwich it tasted absolutely delicious you two must be Yankees you probably never had southern food although the food in this restaurant is based on Southern cooking and it's a lot better than that Northern food most of the northern food I've had was bland and tasteless with not much seasoning this is more of a Southern restaurant but it has both. And the food is cooked the same way and it's same type of food they served during this era
We love the food here just didn’t enjoy the peanut butter soup. We are from West Virginia and from the North😎😎
