When you got "November 23rd" on the Spirit Box, that prompted me to do a little research. Here's what I found:
November 23rd, 1863 marked the Battle of Chattanooga's start date. It was a three day long conflict Union troops were consistently pushing back Confederate troops away from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and into Georgia. After that battle ended, it set the stage for Union General William T. Sherman’s triumphant march to the sea.
So, in a way, that's probably some of the most compelling evidence I've heard come from the Spirit Box in all my years watching paranormal shows like this. Sure, that could have been a radio station coming through, since that sweeps through AM/FM signals. But the fact that you were in Gettysburg, and you heard that was quite the coincidence.
I was looking if anybody else had caught that! I immediatly looking through dates and locations and got a little spooked when the pieces clicked.

Only problem is that the Confederate soldier would have died about 4 months before the Chattanooga Campaign. I believe he is referring to Lincoln's speech in Gettysburg on November 23rd 1863.

I've been to Gettysburg. While it is extremely beautiful with its rolling hills of green and tall trees, there is definitely something so haunting about it. Of course the fact that so many men lost their lives there was heartwrenching to think about. But there was something else about the place, some other feeling, some other emotion, that I can't quite name but I know is negative. It feels heavy, but then as if everything around you could suddenly spring to life and attack you. I'm typically very brave, a thrill-seeker at heart, who spends a lot of time hiking and camping alone in the woods, sometimes explores abandoned buildings, and I don't believe in ghosts. However, Gettysburg is the one place I would never be seen alone--especially at night.
I love visiting Gettysburg with my family and it's one of my favourite historical sites. I've been there probably about 4-5 times and plan on going again soon. However, the last time I was there (a few years) ago, my family and I went on a tour through downtown Gettysburg and I got this really uncomfortable feeling around one of the churches (a fire had occurred though I don't remember if anyone had passed in the incident); I just had the distinct feeling that we needed to leave and all of a sudden, the weather started acting up (it started storming) and the rest of the tour was cancelled. That was the only time I felt uncomfortable in Gettysburg; I have went to the museum, the battlefield, Little Round Top, and Devils Den, but never felt uncomfortable; only that church downtown.
This is why I love Shane and Ryan. They might have not solved a case or a murder case but their humour is on top and I will always love that no one can ever replace them I will rewatch them until I get bored and that’s never.😏

this episode has some seriously compelling evidence. I wish they had gone back. I always wish they would spend more time on the spirit box or with calm and realistic flashlight questions in areas where they get heavy responses because they could get a lot of information

@@racheltonks9022 The soldiers themselves didn't know what they were fighting for. The SS are the assholes who organise it, but the soldiers just saw it as defending their country. Same thing as the US in Vietnam, a bunch of war crimes but it's not the soldier's fault it's the organiser's.

@@racheltonks9022 while I do (mostly) agree with you, you also have to keep in mind that some people truly didn't have any other chance but to fight for the confederation... like, they threatened to kill family members, take away their land and income, prevented them from leaving, basically forcing them to choose between fighting or allowing these horrible people to end their families. now, also remember that a lot of slaves were forced to fight for the confederation and couldn't really say no unless they wanted to be killed. taking these people in consideration we can't say that all of them were racist or were for slavery - I think it depends on each person and why they ended up fighting. remember, those who deserted back then were usually killed, but if they went on the run they didn't have any issue in going after their families & I doubt a son or a father would have been like 'I'm against all you're fighting for, so I'll bail but have at it at my family or my house so I can come back after the war and be left with nothing'. do I condone what they did or stood for? HECK NO. however, I can't blame those who legit had do choice. WWII? that's another story altogether and I won't defend any of them or anything.

Idea for watcher (seen in the comments section of the last episode): Shane chooses two locations, one of which is supposed to be haunted and a non-haunted one, and Ryan has to find out which is which, using all the tools he wants. Sort of "placebo" control trial.

I love how the baby scene was so terrifying that everyone glossed over the conversation on the spirit box, because those answers were scarily relevant to what Ryan was saying
