- Well this might be the oddest episode we’ve ever done, but here goes. Head back to Gettysburg this week for an overnight stay at possibly one of the most haunted locations in America, the Farnsworth Inn! Learn some of the local history about this historic building, see the innards and more all in this new episode of Maksim Outdoors!
I always go to Sweeney's after my Battlefield walks. Good food & the their Beer Gardem area is a MUST experience. Great place to chill!!
Really enjoyed the video, thanks for taking us along
This looks like such a neat experience to stay in a place like this with a haunted history . What a beautiful old building!
Been there several times and stayed in the Custer room. Me and my wife had a weird experience in the basement. We caught orbs on camera and other strange things happened like things showing up that weren’t there seconds earlier. We meet Niki during are stay. She was really cool. Definitely one of are favorite places to visit. Good video
It’s one of our favorite areas to visit! It’s been a while since I got to visit the basement, glad you enjoyed the video !
Great job with this video. Shout out to Sam for participating and being so involved with the making of it.
I was so hoping to see something on the time lapse. I watched it 4 times. The first time, I was looking at everything. The next 3 times, I focused on a different 1/3 of the screen each time.
Sorry to say, I saw nothing.
As someone who lived with a ghost in Maine and communicated with him through my then 3-year-old granddaughter, I would love to stay in this place for a few nights. The off-season price seemed very reasonable to me.
Most of the things you read that were experienced in that room happened at my house. A lot more also happened there, too.
It was very difficult to live there at first, but once he (the ghost) started talking to my granddaughter, she could tell me what he was saying and also show me things that were making him mad.
I told him things I didn't like that he was doing, and after that, we were able to live in peace together.
There was even an incident where my granddaughter was hit on the shin so hard that I thought it was broken. I accidentally caused it and heard the object hit her. I quickly grabbed her and went to look at her shin, and she said she was fine, that nothing hit her. I believe the ghost was looking out for her and took the hit. I saw the direct hit, but she had no bruise, and there should have been a break.
I am looking forward to more of your videos.
Wow what a comment sounds like you have had some crazy experiences! As for me I’ve never had anything along those lines but always wanted to catch a glimpse of something ha. Must’ve been scary dealing with that, thanks for stopping by Mike always appreciate reading and responding to your comments take care!
I stayed in this room. Spooky and active.
We must’ve picked a bad night !
We love quirky old historic places like this but usually they are beyond our budget. We have stayed in several places supposedly haunted but sadly? have not had any supernatural encounters. Looks an interesting place with many interesting artefacts to enjoy. That TV looked pretty vintage itself.
Haha the tv was definitely vintage! We can’t wait to go back and try another room but I’m in the same boat as you I have never had any experiences maybe next time! Thanks for stopping by Ivor!
You will never find a better pretzel with beer cheese than at Sweney's Tavern! Highly Recommend a stop there!
We love Sweenys, funny you commented now I’m actually working on part two!
We’re staying in the Jeremy room next month. I’m excited, but also a bit nervous 😬
You’ll have a great time ! Loved every second of our stay there, let me know if you have any experiences!
This was an excellent video and I’ve seen many on Gettysburg. Thanks for the tour inside as I’ve only seen it from the outside. Again, we enjoyed this video and hopefully we’ll get a chance to stay there in the future too. 🤗
Thanks so much! It was a blast was a little nervous doing something other than hiking but it seems like people are enjoying it!
I would love to stay here and see what happens thanks
Great channel see you soon be safe always 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Not at all a fan of ghosts and spirits, but absolutely love to see inside old, historic houses. Thanks for the tour, and especially glad you could show us the attic and the window the sharpshooter used.
It was a blast, I’ve walked by that building so many times throughout my life and always wanted to stay there so this was def a great experience for us, as for the ghosts I understand I’m not really a believer but have an open mind. Thanks for always leaving a great comment Susan!
Great beginning. I jumped! 😮
Haha sorry about that!
@@MaksimOutdoors😅😅 Is it me or did you move your phone? also I couldnt notice much other than the mirror reflection change and a strange light from the window
@@damnzsk move my phone when? During the Timelapse? I’ll have to go back and look
I stayed 3 Nights in the Katherine Sweeney Room….much of my equipment went off during the days spent and a camera I had set up moved by itself on the Tripod I had it on on my nightstand……I experienced things everyday there. Highly recommended for Paranormal Investigators…..👻
We had several experiences in the Tillie Pierce House
I’ve walked by there a million times, how was your experience? Was it easy to book, expensive?
@@MaksimOutdoors we stayed there in 2013, so it’s been awhile, but it wasn’t too expensive (hotels cost more in my town). It’s worth the cost. We were the only ones there so it was quiet. We heard a door close down the hall, and 3 times we heard a BOOM! (Like a cannon) followed by 3 steps. The steps came from the attic. There had been a Confederate sharpshooter up there and he’d been shot. The blood stain is still there.
Great episode! Sub'd!
That’s awesome thank you so much!
@@MaksimOutdoors you're more than welcome!
15:30-15:31 did you edit in the additional voice between your words as you're talking? He says " ...you." He's just as loud as you are. Sounds like a young teenage boy but I saw you edited in the ghouly female ghost at the bottom right of the screen at one point so I'm not sure it's a legit evp or not.
When you say 'Jeremy' at 16:12, your camera goes visually bonkers at 16:13 for a couple seconds.
7:43 upset lady says "Get out of here!" it's faint but distinct. It's a nonresidual evp. It's the only real paranormal evidence I can conclude for the video.
22:52 guy responded to you by saying "Yeeha!" unless you edited this in or was just a different guest listening in on you.
If you ever go back and want to catch evps, leave your audio recording device on in the room and leave for a bit then come back. Chances are extremely high you'll hear the evps when you listen back if you have better than average hearing.
Oops you said the painting of President Lincoln was made to commemorate when he visited Gettysburg after the civil war was won there. In reality he came to Gettysburg in November of 1863 to give his short 2 minute mind blowing speech known as the Gettysburg Address, 4 months after the battle ended at Gettysburg. The war still carried on and ended at Appomattox Court House in Virginia in April 1865 tho some smaller pockets of rebels surrendered in June that year. It could have and should have ended at Gettysburg but Union General Meade let Lee and his men get away after the battle and Lincoln was rightfully beyond angered with Meade for this.
Wow thanks for the great comment so funny thing is we went back here literally two weeks ago and stayed in another room I wish you would’ve commented about the EVP thing a few weeks earlier haha, but I’ll have to go back and listen for the voices, the only thing I edited in was the “ghost” just for laughs, thanks for taking the time to leave such a thorough comment! Hope you check out part two coming in a few weeks!
