  • What an amazing meal and experience. Dinner in the oldest building in Gettysburg by candle light. Learned about the history of the home, yes it is haunted, and explored the various rooms you get to eat in. This is actually 2 different restaurants - the Dobbin House and then the Tavern. Part of the Underground Railroad as well. The duck was unlike any duck dish I have ever had and it was so good. The highlight is definitely the French Onion Soup. The gingerbread was very unique with the hot lemon sauce worth the try for sure. If you are in Gettysburg make time to eat here as it really is an experience and all of us loved what we got. Make reservations and come hungry.

This place is so neat, I’ve been there once and have been yearning to revisit for years. Thanks for the video.

Celebrated a surprise birthday party given by my family on April 29!
Family came from out of town and state.
We ate in the cellar dining in candlelight.
It was very crowded and the noise level made it difficult to converse but lovely atmosphere.
The gift shop was very nice and I bought earrings for my daughter’s wedding.
Since there are many places to eat in Gettysburg, I would try a different restaurant next visit.
Prices were above average but the historical building and ambiance was worth it.
