I think if Bentancur stays fit over the summer and is able to be fresh and starting from August then he’ll do everything Rabiot could do for us and more too. Bentancur can pass well, has a good footballing brain on him but needs to stay fit through pre season to get to somewhere near his best.
We have been looking at Rabiot for years and years. His agent is his mum. It's far too late now to take him on. Again linked with over the top players. In other words, other teams chuck-outs! Yet again!

Sean, if you viewed Liverpool's first half against us, this is the type of forward pressing that Ange wants. I don;t think some of our mids and forwards want to do this so until Ange gets new transfers in we will continue to see up and down results.
We got screwed over badly with the injuries to Perisic and Solomon.. the only 2 wingers that fit Angeball
Ange is the type of manager that gets you to achieve more than you physically believe. It’s not for everyone. Lots of suffering and bravery needed. Don’t this Rabiot is that guy regardless of the free. Rather the club pay up for the right player. Coys!!

Would recommend the 4-4-2 video which made alot of sense and made me think that our biggest problems are the wingers in the Ange ball system.. If we had more of a threat out wide it would give the midfielders more space in the central areas and we've got Bissouma, Sarr, and Bentacur who can all play that number 8 position plus Bergvall coming in. I like the idea that you and Henry Wright had of playing Romero in the 6 which then gives us 4 players at number 8. Spending more money on another number 8 doesn't make sense unless we sell Bissouma and I'm not sure that Rabiot is an upgrade if we can get him playing again

Werner, Marcus Edwards, or ex-Celtic Jota are 3 options for wingers. Spurs still get a cut if Edwards is sold so we can sign him at a discount. Jota has a tough season in Saudi so re-united with Ange is an option.
We do need some muscle and someone with actual experience of playing in an effective midfield, ours needs to be schooled because no combination of players seems to work, I dpn't know about Rabiot-depends on how much he needs to change his game to fit in with AP's system-and if he wants to even try. The fact that he is (relatively) Free is a plus but I hope it does not signal a summer of bargain-hunting by Levy-that can't be allowed to happen again.
I'm just hoping for two wins and an honourable sacrificial loss to City then my focus will be on the first week of the transfer window, we will learn most of what we need to know about our prospects for next season, Spurs must have a list of players they intend to swoop in for and AP will want to get the new lot in and used to playing his way asap, over to you Danny boy and yes, you will need your cheque book.
I honestly don't care about the name of the player. I trust in Ange and his crew to sign player who will fit his vision and his style. No matter the name or their price tag.
Daichi Kamada is a free transfer since he is unlikely to stay at Lazio. A good player to compete with Madders.

We've been linked with this guy in the past as well as Gallagher and raphinia we were also linked with maddidon for years before we signed him. My point foes ange have as big a say in these signings because its the same names as always . This guy I dont want if he wasn't trouble he would have moved on years ago.

I'm leaning towards a no on this one. I've always rated Rabiot as a pretty solid footballer. When we were linked with him a couple of years ago around the time of the world cup I would've said yes without hesitation. Just think we could get get better value in other players nowadays. He does have one really strong selling point though- he's experienced. And we do need a few more of those experienced personalities in our young team.
If United want him it's a sure fire thing we should avoid him, Their recruitment has been suspect for awhile now, buying a name not a player

Maybe a great player. However, agent being his Mother, or any family member is a massive Red Flag for me. Just look at the issues we are having with Dragusin's agent. I doubt Ange would take the risk. There will be other opportunities.

Rabiot is an 8 which we dont really need. We have Bentacur, sarr and imo Biss are all best at 8. We need a true destroying 6 who can also pass
juve wants to reduce its wage costs and are willing to sell many players not just him.. juve has asked it players to accept a reduce wage and players refused. so you could see Spurs tracking many of its players. I would go for Dusan .. i believe Arsenal is tracking him

A BIG NO NO from me on this player and also his mum. Dragusin's agent is enough of a winge bag already. Rabiot's mother is 100 times worse. Do not want this type of player and his baggage in our team or into our club. He will turn out to be another waster steeling a wage!

I hope not. The bloke has been swaying between average and good for about 5 or 6 years now. Doesn’t excite me in any way whatsoever. Again, he’s one of those players who nobody of any repute or note seems to be interested, so I question how he seemingly appears on our radar.
