These days any person has the opportunity to follow the progress being made by mankind in space exploration. Thanks to numerous scientific investigations we have found out that the universe is unbelievably enormous and contains a great number of celestial objects.
However, in all this diversity there are only several hundred worlds that we know of which resemble our planet. In the Milky Way alone the number of exoplanets is supposedly over a trillion...

I recently bought my first house and played all your videos while I painted the rooms and did some minor repair over the course of two months before fully moving in. Your videos are the best and are now forever part of my memory of my new home. I was born and raised in Hawaii but moved away. This video is so fitting for me to finally have made a comment with a Hawaiian name given to the super cluster. Thank you.

Life will be discovered by the new telescope. For those of you wondering how a telescope can detect life, exoplanets are classified/identified by analyzing the chemical composition of the light rays that pierce through it's atmosphere. Light rays coming from the parent star as planet passes in front of it

Why do we assume if there’s life on another planet there needs to be water? Just because water is essential for life on earth does it mean other life also need water? There can be life that’s dependent on other things beside water and oxigen. You never know, but its possible.

    • @stitch3030

It's possible, but based on the only evidence we have, it's more likely that it'll be carbon based (due to carbon's ability to form bonds with other elements) and water is needed for every single different life form on earth. Why do we continue to assume that the Goldilocks Zone of exo-planets have to be exactly like Earth's? There are so many factors that made life possible on earth, not just it being in the Sun's goldilocks zone. Other planets could very well have conducive environments to harbor life, regardless of its location to their Stars.

Saying that every single planet has an equal chance at hosting life? That's not true based on what we know. We need to narrow it down based on the information we have, but of course we should keep on learning.

Earth year may be insignificant compared to cosmic years which may be in millions or bilions of years . I think its time earth may start another time scale based on changes happening in our galaxy like a galactic year. There is a different sense of time on earth vs time in galactic scale. If other forms of life forms exist on other planets , we may see them sometime in the galactic time scale which is probably in millions or billions of years. This is a surmise.

If they're advanced enough to get to us at all; they probably have some type of warp drive. Would make sense if you think about the consistent sightings showing how they can go from stop, to mach 5+ to stop again; they'd be moving space around them not themselves, so propulsion isn't required at all. We arent closed off from the rest of the universe, also its not like a punishment "god" is doing because we haven't fulfilled his checklist. "You guys create wars for no reason.....I think ill put you in this section of the milky way away from any playmates". Lol
The human race is slowly unlocking the universe god or no god. Also unfortunately even if most people did exactly those things you mentioned there will always be those few rich, psychotic, warmongering assholes who ruin it for everyone. (I'm a Veteran).
Nice thoughts Ursula, I agree with all those things but your god idea keeping us from unlocking the universes secrets.. besides the fact our brains might not even be capable of ever understanding 1% of what's really going on in the universe. Who knows though maybe "god" is quarantineing us from everything else because we're more of a sickness than anything.
