- Now we have the 3lap!!! A huge improvement and the first 3/3 shortcut run!
This is still very improvable, the lap 1 alone loses like .4 from bad driving but whatever, this is mostly proof of concept anyways! I see a 1:34, 1:33 or even lower being done here in the near future, but for now I'm gonna take a break from TASing stuff until things are more refined

It's insane to see how much this track (and really, this game) has changed over the past couple of days. Well done, super cool TAS!

It's been so surreal experiencing all this. I was messing around with TAS when this sc was discovered a few nights ago and it's been crazy since then, almost overwhelming honestly 😅

How did you give a dry bones kart to Mario are you using some kind of mod?
@@natepion8449 Once you get a gold trophy on every Mirror Mode cup, you can use the ROB-BLS with any character.
Always loved the little tank when playing this game as a kid. That and ROB’s cars were the best! Also Toad’s little mushroom car was dope
The beast has been broken. And from its corpse comes a horde of speed demons the likes of which Mariokart DS has never seen before.
It's so cool not only to have a new shortcut in this game a full 10 years after the last major discovery but for it to be on the most iconic and memorable track from the game!

Yeah, this is definitely not the strat I recommend humans use. I just wanted to get a 3/3 run that wasn't a total disaster and show it off. Your 2/3 run is amazing though!
back when i unlocked dry bones + the banisher when i was 4, i felt like the coolest kid of all time - it wasn't my favorite, but it was awesome to drive a skeleton _as_ a skeleton
i never would've thought that it would get a WR, even if it's just a TAS
Banisher is awesome! I used to use it all the time when I was little cuz I liked the cool skeleton design. I'm not sure if it will remain the best kart for this track 3/3 shortcut but I thought it'd be awesome to show it off

It's very interesting that the slowest kart in Mario Kart DS is used to run TAS BKT.
This TAS was meant to show off a 3/3 run but not to be the fastest run possible
do you think the cucumber could also be used?
We're definitely thinking about it at the moment. Can only test so many things in such little time! Hopefully by the time I post another 3lap TAS we'll have an answer to that

I've actually just beaten this run here by 4 seconds with a run that makes major mistakes that I posted to my second channel. Will post a more optimized TAS here whenever I can finish it
