My sister and her friend were having their annual meet up vacation in Savannah when the movie was being filmed. Although they said had they known a movie was being made, they would have either visited Savannah later, or another time. The production had so many places closed to the public. The neat thing is though, my sister did manage to get some pictures of Tom Hanks on the bench, as they filmed... well you have to believe it was him LOL... she was a bit far away... and there were no cell phone cameras back then.... she just had a little Kodak pocket film camera.

One of the running scenes in the movie was filmed in North Carolina blue ridge parkway area.
I visited Chippewa Square 2 yrs ago, I stood at the same place where the bench was . I am surprised how big the square is.
