  • The i1R 2 Pro is the upgraded version of i1R 2 EOS, Olight's popular rechargeable keychain flashlight. The high-performance LED, paired with a TIR optic lens, generates a soft beam of 5 lumens or 180 lumens. Powered by a larger built-in 130mAh Lithium-ion battery, it runs up to 12 hours. The flashlight adopts the new USB-C port.

Hope they don't discontinue the i1r2. I prefer the smaller size.

I just purchased a (blue) Olight i1r2 pro from Amazon and was not only very surprised at how small it was but how well it worked even in 5L mode in a dark area, and even more surprised at how well it worked in 180L mode outdoors. The dang thing is so small it’s hard to take it serious until you turn it (high mode) on! In high 180L it kept up with my Streamlight microstream micro usb in its high 250L mode! I understand why anyone with an i1r2 would say the i1r2 pro is to large because we all want to defend what we already have, but I find it hard to considering the USB-C charging, higher lumens and longer run time even at just around 8 minutes it's still 8 minutes you wouldn’t have. I like not just that the USB-C is the way things are going now, but that unlike micro-USB the plug fits in either direction, great for fumbling in an unlit place or when driving. I have had it on my key fob for several days and can't complain, it seems perfectly fine to me size wise even in my pockets, its smaller than my fob! I love how you can also operate it with one hand in 5L mode just by pulling back on the front of the light while you're palming it and letting go when you're done! And if size is that big a deal Amazon has a page full of keychain lights around 100L for well under half the price. Thanks for the view of the Olight!

Thank you, so far you provide the best comparison of what are the difference. Thanks!

The USB-C makes it worth while for me. Less cables to keep track off!

I always try and get the "free" ($5 for shipping) Keychain flashlights from olight when they have a holiday thing going on. I ordered them yesterday, didn't even realize till now that they upgraded it. I have 2 olight accounts so I've gotten like 8 of them this year alone lol... Stocking stuffers!

It would be nice in future if they had a middle mode. Maybe 20 lumens at 1.5 hours runtime.

You deserve way more views. The CZcams algorithm befuddles the mind… 🧐

I preferred the original. On a keychain light, an increase of 1mm or 2mm in length isn't an issue. But an increase in thickness, very different story. The i1R 2 is still acceptable. But the Pro is too thick for comfortable pocket carry. You notice it. From 150 to 180 lumens is not a pragmatic advantage.

I have both and...... tbh i prefer the smaller ones.. there no real noticeable difference that makes the bigger one worth it.

I missed out on getting an orange i1r2 so paid $33 for one on eBay and they immediately release the new version, of course.

Runtime on high is 15 minutes for the i1r2. You may be confusing the runtime listed on the package with the beam distance, which is 40m for the i1r2.

Strange, but no video truly captures how diminutive the I2R EOS is once you actually get it in your hand

Any thoughts about the Astrolux® LT1 SST20 ? Maybe you can test this one as well. Anyway, thanks for this useful review.
