  • Oh yes. The famous Pepper Ave. overpass is a fantastic spot to watch trains. The sounds of big steel, and the smell of diesel fills the air, making it heaven on earth for any railfan. On this particular visit, we see lots of locos, and a bunch of movement in the yard. Union Pacific spices up the color in the yard with their bright yellow engines. So sit back and enjoy some action from Union Pacific's largest yard on the West Coast. Please rate and comment, Thanx! :-)

Nope, no sidewalk. Never has been. We just stand on the side of the bridge. The road isn't very busy, and railfans have been coming to this location for decades.

What's with all the "luggage"? I've stayed a WEEK at motorcycle rallies, and never needed more than I could strap to my sissy bar! What are these guys doing to "work up a sweat" that they need all these extra clothes? 🤔 I'm just curious...

Correct. Cooling fans are the rear most ones. The other fans are dynamic brake fans.
