Locomotives and trains in general are amazing!! Its just unbelieve how 2 locomotives can haul over fifteen locomotives and their trucks effortlessly!
No hills to climb.
I'm so glad to see the new locomotives on the way to Brazil and take a look the flags. Very very nice indeed!
THEY ARE GOING TO BRAZIL
@@gilbertmcglurk2591 He just said that. Pay attention.

Its a meme
Now Brazil has the longest train in the world, more than three kilometers long.
For those wondering, the locomotives are GE BB40-9WMs. They’re identical to the classic North American Dash-9 (C40-9W), except that they’re fitted with a different wheel arrangement. These dash-9s have a B+B-B+B (4 trucks, 2 on each side, each truck with 2 powered axels, 8 axels total) wheel arrangement, which is made for Brazil’s narrow 1 meter (3 ft 3-3/8 in) gauge railways. The North American Dash-9s use a C-C (2 trucks, one on each side, each truck has 3 powered axels, 6 axels total) wheel arrangement, and standard track width in North America is 4 ft 8-1/2 inches.
It’s cool that GE still makes the dash-9, but only for export. It can no longer be made for the US market as it doesn’t meet the EPA’s tier 4 emission standards. EMD did this with the SD70ACe, which also can no longer be made for the US market with its T3 engine. It’s now exported to Brazil as the SD70ACe-bb with the B+B-B+B wheel arrangement.
This is hands down one of the coolest catches I’ve seen. Those big ass CAT 992K loaders were cool too. They’re close to some of the biggest loaders in the world!
That was a very satisfying train vid. What a unique load!
Outstanding😊Makes a person proud to see we still produce for the world😎
Kevin Olschesky overseas markets don’t really care who your president is. We buy because it’s the most appropriate product for our purposes. Here in Australia, we buy from all over the world as well as make our own products. Pretty much all the motive power on our iron ore railways in north west Australia are pure US domestic locomotives. In fact, some have returned to the US, are refurbished and now operate on your own routes. You’d never pick them. We’ve been buying them like that since the 1960s because they do the job.
Actually Kevin, the EPA forced US locomotive manufacturers to limit pollution and increase efficiency. The manufacturers cried that it would kill their business. You know what happened? They met the higher EPA standards, by burning less diesel and in turn, made a product that is in demand around the world because of this!
@@chrisstromberg6527 & then how much more did they cost ? EPA doesn't give a crap
Great catch! A world apart from the usual type of train video. Thanks for sharing.
Hello!! Beautiful track record of locomotives VL! !! best greetings! Vinicius train driver VL! from Brazil !!
Maravilha! Um brasileiro morando na Franca, apaixonado por trens. VL de que parte do Brasil?
Café Ferroviário Você por aqui kkkkk

That's an amazing train load, well done for catching this, I would have been in my element's seeing these.
Wow. Now that was a lot of heavy equipment. Great catch!
Thank you for posting this excelent video. That is a good example of how a Latin American country could keep on working with US locomotive engines. I hope my country as Argentina could do the same.
How are the Chinese locomotives doing down there?
@Jean Toronto Raptors no.... These are deisnged in the US and built in Erie, Pennsylvania (both domestic and export models). They are however in the process of moving manufacturing to Texas
It wont, god damned Socialists have won again.
@@scenicdepictionsofchicagolife or Mexico?
That’s an awesome video. A really neat train. 👍👍👍👍
Pretty neat. Reminds me of the time I came across a whole train of wind turbine components running from Nashville to Memphis. Too bad I didn't have a video camera with me.
The Caterpillar wheel loaders were built at the plant I worked at, Aurora IL, though most of their output was sent by truck...guessing that they liked paying extra for shipping or something. Not much there now, most of the production was sent to Mexico, with only final assembly in a new plant in Texas. The track dozers were built in Peoria.
That was a once in a lifetime catch. Very nice.
SIMPLY SUPERB. All the best.
It's amazing two locomotives can pull all that weight with such ease.
That's a lot of power. Beautiful equipment.
The only friction or resistance comes from air.
@@carrollcameron8650 That's the least of it,
there is also gravity and rail resistance.
? 1 loco pulls so much more than that. RC2, RC4 and RD2 locos pull more than twice that amount of cars in Sweden.
Unbelievable !
I found this video to be very really awesome, thanks.
That had to be the coolest train I've ever seen.
Love the video you just combined my sons to favorite things trains and tractors..lol 👍👍
Fantastic transit! Greetings from Italy. Ciao, Stefano
Quite the shopping list!
Now that was one interesting train!
Great video. Thanks for posting.
Wow! This is truly awesome!
BEAUTIFUL, LOVE TRAINS!!!
The power of just two locomotives pulling all that awesome!

Imagine, of these thing are brought by trucks through the street. It can make a severe traffic jam! How efficient this fleet of train are. Good video!
A great display of American manufacturing.
Laurie May Obama wouldn’t be happy.
@@philipbrailey Because everything on the train was assembled in the USA, but the technology and electronics had to be purchased in Germany? Fortunately you now have the trump, so we can continue to sell you our old stuff :-)
Andreas Werkmeister You guys can stick to making luxury cars and the US will produce the important shit
What an impressive consist!
Fu**ing awesome!!! Thanks 👍👍👍 for uploading!!!
Coolest train I have ever seen. If you saw it on a model railroad you wouldn't believe it
Wow way cool. Someone put in a very large order.

Holy shit!! This is the MOST AMAZING train i've ever seen!

Pretty cool! The main bodies of the locomotives first then the missing traction units following behind on more flats. Some assembly required upon delivery!

Coolest consist ever! Would be awesome to see done on a model railroad!
Òkò
That’s an impressive freight Train 👍👍👍👍
Vejo varias Locomotivas da VL! aqui onde moro em Campinas - Brasil.
great combination of freight. Brilliant catch!!
Uma incrível composição levando locomotivasda vli, ainda bem que as outras são produzidas no Brasil, como as ac44i, e agora essas são feitas aqui

What a great video, but I'm amazed that only two locomotives were able to move such a heavy load!
Gross tonnage was probably around 7000 tons. The GE units and their trucks weigh about 200 tons each and while impressive the rest of the loads are not all that heavy, just bulky. The two EMD locomotives are 4300 HP each so that would be 8600 HP, far within the general 1 HP per ton rule of thumb. This would actually not be an easy train to run as there is a lot of slack in all those long drawbar flats.
Howdy,
That Right There Is One Of The Most Coolest Trains That I Have Ever Seen!

That's gotta be a veery heavy load for just two locomotives to pull
Yep, That's what they are made for. To pull heavy tonnage. 😁
Awesome video! Thanks, !
Wow such a Powerful Machice these Locomotives are man.
Thanks for this video
wow! coolest load ever. 👍
Very cool. Not something I've ever seen before.
These units of VLI are called Dash 9 here in Brazil. particularly in São Paulo
Minas🤙, Dash 9 BB n roda em São Paulo, lá roda as AC44I
Thats a sick load!!!
Wow.. great video!!!!
I have been watching trains all my life & this is a first.. Thanks for sharing very cool.
Thats a seriously high value cargo
How many hundred million dollars do you think was on that train?
Each one about $2-3 million X 50 ish
Just those CAT loaders and dozers alone are a few million. Then another easy 3 Mil or more worth of farm tractors.
@@trainguy1017 Only ONE of those tractors are worth around 300k each
Brings on a new meaning to the term, 'Train Hopping.'
I know there powerful but 2 units pulling that lot is very impressive!
That's my thought too.
What a great catch !
Fantástic from Brazil.
That was Awesome to see that
Awesome catch.
Imagine if they all blew their horns at the same time
😅 Ha!
they'd come to a stop due to running out of air!

True power of a locomotive pull that many of them.

Great catch!
Awesome catch
Great video .Enjoy it
Totally awesome---!!!
MAN that was totally cool all those brand spankin new
GEs being transported atop those low slung flat car,s,must be a super deduper heavy load and they only used 2 GE locomotives too do the job, locomotive technollagy has come a long way within the last 30 some years A/C traction is where it's at impressive the loads they can pull!!!!😀😀😀....Frank misssssschief...thank you
Frank Mosch those were EMDs pulling this train
Wow, those locomotives got Do-Do wheel arrangement from the wheel sets seen in the trailing flat-bed cars.
Actually, they have an B+B-B+B arrangement.
very good video a lot of freight there for 2 engines,,,,they are doing good
that"s serious staff up there
Super video
What a powerful train head.
Can you imagine the weight of that pull!

Magnifico progresso !
that is freaking awesome
i love c44 engines
Actually they are BB40-9's
Now THAT was an awesome train! Around here, all I see is standard box cars, tanker cars, and the occasional enclosed auto hauler cars :(
Thank Lord for you still having trains around. In my city, they have removed all the tracks more than three decades ago. I miss a lot...
Time to move to a better location.
It's nice to see American exports going out. Wonder what the total insured value was on that shipment.

Beautiful diesal engines
Just as it should be...Two beautiful SD70's hauling GE's around .....
