- All aboard! Let's look at trains from all over the state of California - it's California Trains! You will see just about every different train in California - steam, diesel, passenger, and freight - it's all here! A wide variety of some of my best shots of trains running in California in all different climates: sunny beaches, shady redwood forests, dry deserts, and even snowy mountains. Trains and railroads featured include Amtrak, Coaster, BNSF, Union Pacific, Metrolink, Caltrain, ACE, Pacific Sun, Fillmore and Western, Skunk Train, California State Railroad Museum, Niles Canyon Railway, Orange Empire Railway Museum, and many more!

I noticed this video saved in my app from 5 years ago when my son was 2. All he wanted to do was watch all of the trains. It would entertain him for hours. He'd usually be cuddled on my lap. The trains soothed him. So today, when I saw this video saved, it brought a little tear to my eye thinking of my little boy. Who knew? Thank you for creating and posting these videos for beleaguered parents of toddlers everywhere.

This is the first video we showed our two years old boy, about six months ago. He loves watching the trains going up and down the little railroad near home but he has never enough. Pure randomness brought us here: we couldn't ask for more!

He watches this over & over & he’s still so delighted by it🥰 & i love that it taught him that trains can all look different because he didn’t believe that for a long time & it stole a-lot of joy from him when I’d get him a new train or a shirt with one on it that didnt look “right”.

Same. I also have no idea why I just love hearing the loud horn. In my opinion I believe the reason we love them so much is because of the sheer power of trains. The loud Horn, the size, the ability to destroy anything in its path.

We live behind a train so when the train is not running, my kids get upset to the max, so we put this on repeat all day and it's pretty relaxing to watch. Interesting stuff ❤

I am old, one of my memories is taking a train from Arkansas to California to visit my Mom's parents who lived near Modesto, Ca. We started at Jonesboro, Ar and went to a town in Stanislaus Co, Ca. Riverside maybe? We went through Mo, Kansas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Names and places are dim, but seeing so much was thrilling. The mountains and rivers, valleys, etc. were beautiful. I was 5 years old (about 1948) if I remember right. That is one trip I will never forget.
