@@veryljones3155 Still if you can get anywhere close to these positions pain free, then do so

I am almost sixty, two bad motorcycle wrecks, constant knee pain for years.
I’ve been doing your knee exercises for almost two weeks, and the difference it has made it so incredible that I can’t find adequate words to describe the difference in my quality of life! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Wow! So happy for you! Keep it up!
I am showing this to all my judo classmates because we have lots of bad knees, hips and shoulders that I *KNOW* people can alleviate if they put in the work. I recovered tremendously, and now I am focusing on building resilliancy.
That is awesome and thank you so much for sharing! Keep it up!
Look into Postural restoration, Neal hallinsn
Very cool way of showing the scalability of the Poliquin step and split squats!!! Great video, keep going Ben, God Bless you!
Thank you so much! Yes, so easy to scale!
I started waking backward on an Incline treadmill because of your videos and it's already made a huge difference!
That's great!

What Kind of treadmill? Make?
I just walk backwards a lot
@johnscards4633 just what ever is at the gym. I set it at a slow walking pace and put it on full Incline. I use my hands to balance but not hold my weight.
Healed my knee completely in three weeks after purchasing the backwards treadmill. I’m now working on the other knee that I post up on as a golfer and the solution has been to turn sideways on the treadmill. Also if you turn to the other side you hang really work the hips and groin as well. You guys should add more exercises that utilize the backwards treadmill and turn sideways and work one leg only. Really is great stuff! Can’t thank you enough❤
That’s incredible! Good for you! Actually cover sideways sledding in our groin ability protocol! Thanks for sharing🫡
What kind of injury did you have? I have a degenerative torn meniscus and I’m 51 so, wondering if this will help with the pain and catching in the knee. Thanks!
This guy's legit. Tried his exercises and after a month or two I already had good results.
Great work!
I’ve been training my knees after watching your videos for about 2 months now….no knee pain. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Great to hear! Keep it up!
It REALLY is that simple! I have helped half a dozen people this year with your program.
That is incredible! Thank you!
Don’t think people realize how long this guy has been preaching the correct way to repair and maintain healthy knees
Appreciate your support!
@@TheKneesovertoesguy have you worked with or communicated with MovementByDavid before? I’ve been following you longer but both of you guys basically made me able to touch my toes, skate better, improve my ankle and knee strength, and generally I recommend both of you to all my friends and family!

Thank you so much for your support!
For so many years I have struggled with knee pain post surgery and have not been able to run or really do much of anything. Your work has been such a huge blessing to get me back off the bench! Super thankful! Keep spreading the good news.
That's awesome! Appreciate it!
You have changed my life. God bless you. You are an amazing person. Thank you for helping me improve my knee pain. I was limping on my left knee. After 3 months, I am slowly gaining mobility. I admire and I hope I can thank you in peeson one day.

I tweaked my MCL and following a bunch of his exercises has helped my healing significantly. So glad the algorithm showed me his channel
Glad to hear that and thanks for sharing!
I hurt my knee for the first time last year and am now one of the many testaments to your training! I don’t have knee pain any more and with consistent work can jump, run, squat, lunge with weight like I used to!
That is awesome! Way to go!
Yes, wow that is awesome! So good to hear that there’s hope 🙏🦵🏼
Great content. I will start trying these excercises. I always experience knee pain when I'm running long distance. Thank You.

Love you so much I am sitting standing without pain, Am showing off at the gym squatting and doing Zumba because of you. Man this is the real thing. Way out here in Trinidad, love you guys.❤ And the say I had knee Arthritis, Yeah right. 😅
Amazing work! Way to go and thanks for sharing!
These videos are getting even better in the succint way, great that you "put in the work"
I appreciate that!
That is the exact muscle that hurts when my knees dislocates. As soon as i can walk normally im going to try walking backwards. Ive been watching your videos for a year or so now and youve given me more information than the dozens of doctors and specialists ive seen sense I was a kid.
Happy to help! Reverse sled and step-ups can be a great start! I also had knee dislocations! Would checkout this article: kneesovertoesguy.medium.com/does-your-knee-ever-pop-out-lock-and-then-have-to-be-popped-back-into-place-832c66b638cc
You can also walk backwards for specific distances and achieve the same results.
Backwards walking definitely works great!
I found out that a good alternative for the SLED is staing on a chair with wheels and pushing back. Btw I'm feeling great from the exercises you are amazing! Nice editing skills!
That is awesome! Way to work!
One of the exercises I was given after acl surgery was to sit on an office chair & with my heels pull my self forward, killer hamstring work out.
Scaled to sitting on a wooden floor on a towel and doing it.
@@llisntcoolj2375but is that simulating moving backwards
Is that standing or sitting in an office chair???
Also :

- Does it give you the full ROM as the reverse treadmill?

That's what I noticed before I started following you. When I would walk the beach with my wife if I walked backwards I could do the whole thing no problem. Walking forward I would get knee pain halfway
Very interesting!
Yep your content have been helpful. Especially for Knees . I am able to do half marathon now pretty pain free. That was not the case for many years. The shoulder content is helpful also. I think I have a partial labrum tear. But it's still helpful. I wish you had wrists workouts. I'm a street Calisthenics athlete. Pretty high level and a runner long distance
Oh wow! Good for you! Yep, wrist ability I actually do also have with a wrist ability protocol to match! Would love to guide you through that and very similar to how I address the ankles!
this guy's workout + paul saladino's diet = the way to go

Very impressive to see your communication skills continue to develop!
I'm 67, arthroscoped in both knees and severe osteoporosis. I've been working kneesovertoesguy stuff for about 18 months now. I've made significant gains in lengthening tendons on both sides of my knees. Due to unrelated orthopedic issues, developing strength has fluctuated.
However, I'm back to squats, tibia raises, and Nordic gluten. I'm confident of regaining a fitness level not limited by knee issues.
Thanks!
That is INCREDIBLE! Good for you and happy to hear about this progress! Keep it up!
This is the kind of Help we need!

This is so important, and same with mobility. Wish my coaches focused on hip mobility growing up but figured it out
Glad you figured it out! Have a hip mobility video you can also study here: czcams.com/video/p2VNYdKU7jU/video.html
Needed to see this! I all

Awesome, I've been doing reverse elliptical, I will do some more negative squat stuff for my knees.

Well i havent gotten any major injuries yet (knock on wood). But im scared of the possibility of getting injured. This channel opened my eyes to new movements and i think I should start doing thede programs as a injury preventative protocols.
Can absolutely be a safe route to follow to improving pain-free ability!
Appreciate the transparency ❤🦾
Thanks!
I love how you respond to all the comments. I added knee garter squats and deep massage. He also pushed a small car backwards. greetings
I appreciate the comment and support! That is awesome!
No way! I have an unknown neurological problem that caused certain muscles to not engage as they're supposed to, leading to muscle weakness and joint pain. I always wondered why it was much easier to walk backwards and why my knee pain went away (temporarily) when I did. Nobody really knew why but it does makes sense. I'll be sure to check out that treadmill!
Oh wow! Definitely can be beneficial! You would love the Backward Treadmill🔥🔥🔥
That makes lot of sense. Going forwards might be more hamstring hip dominant then going backwards which is more quards and possibly tibs
Very good point!
Your quads are responsible for extending your leg going forward is not hamstring dominant. Think about it your quads are what your body weight is loaded into your hamstring mainly just lifts your leg of the ground. This only becomes more true if running and jumping
Chat walkin’ on my treadmill on an incline backwards made my knee pain go away. Try it for a couple days-week and thank us later
Way to go!
You are awesome. Keep doing what you are doing
Thank you! Will do!
Knee pain is goneee. love this. ❤
Amazing!
I am just a few weeks into following your simple instructions and my knees hurt less and my quads are starting to grow again at 63! I wall a hill backwards, at the gym I put the treadmill at the steepest incline and walk slow and create extra force with the side handles. As I fatigue I can lessen my pulldown force, or turn around and walk normally and let the lactic acid clear to turn back and walk backwards again. I vary speed and stride. I do my reverse toe raises also and am stretching my knee over toe, leg back stretch.
That is amazing and so happy to hear this is helping! Way to go!
@@TheKneesovertoesguy You are welcomed and I will continue, - Thank you!
I was at a loss for words on my phone, I was referring to the split squat stretch.
Amen
🫡🙏
Now this is the kind of fitness content I can get behind! Nice video
Glad you liked it!!
I'm a landscaper. When you turf grass you "board" it, which as the name implies you jump/stamp on it to flatten it out. I used to get knee pain, until I started stamping and walking backwards, instead of forwards! And now I have no issues with the knee pain. Interesting to understand why it works that way. It also feels kind of natural to go backwards if you follow the flow of the force with a stamp that is pushed through the heel
That is amazing! Good work!
The goat. Gracias señor rodillas

Awesome Ben, thank you !
My pleasure!
@@TheKneesovertoesguy I am still walking up hills backwards a year or so after watching your amazing videos Ben, thank you :)
Tire for me, VMO disappeared after knee surgery but ATG and backward walking and backward sled pull has help bring it back along with strength and much less pain.
Well done!
Good explanation. And advice.
Glad it was helpful!
I started working out and mountain biking 3 years ago. I’m a different man. Still have athritis but I’m mich better.
Well done! Reverse sled can be a gem for you! Has helped many with their arthritic knees!
Thank you for this tip..
You're welcome!
Yep I suffer from the same thing, lack of muscles in that area, recently started the carnivore diet and all the inflammation in my knees has left, almost feels like I’ve had 2 knee replacements all due to a diet 🤷♂️
Wow! Amazing progress!
Love your videos.
Glad you like them!
The knees over ankle flexibility is pretty good , those gains are slow work for myself years ago snapped my achilles tendon and last year hired a rehab coach to work once a week with making notable gains monthly , but everything else has improved upstream
Gotcha! Exercises like the reverse step-up, split squat, KOT Calf Raise, and Seated calf can work wonders for your ankle! Also have an ankle ability protocol where we address this!
That’s crazy how easy you make that look
Build up to this over time! Can definitely get there using a scalable route!
I’ve had this knee pain for around 5 months and diagnosed with osgood at 20. My pain has been constant with bending the knee and loading it. The atg split squat had helped the pain but only momentarily and I really want to resolve this issue so I can get back into volleyball again
Sorry to hear about this issue, and would love to help you address this!
czcams.com/video/PClSpcXxDS8/video.html
Reverse step-ups and sled would be something I also recommend and would make sure you are performing these movements at a pain-free level🙏
I noticed that myself. Thanks for the reminder 💙
You are so welcome!

My Knees are so painful ... after mutiple injuries and surgeries (acl both knees and meniscus in left , now patella tendinitis in the right)from hooping going from being super athletic dunking all kinds of way to now i cant jump over a broomstick and still fairly young its so depressing bball my 1 tru love and now can barely play 😢 gotta try this cant be any worst than it is now
Would really love to help here and have helped many in your position get back to sport pain-free!
If it’s a knee issue, chances are my programs have helped more people with it than any other! Simply because my programs focus on pain-free ability! The more of it you have, the less likely this is to be an issue. This starts as simple as backwards walking and is step 1!

@@TheKneesovertoesguy35 years old was a multiple sports athlete and still lift weight and workout 5 times a week. Recently lost almost 60 pounds. But the last few years I've been working a desk job and tweaked my back badly doing leg press a few months back. Since then I've developed tight Hamstrings, right hips and some significant right knee pain. I have no previous knee injuries or even pain but it's getting sunstaintialy worse. Getting harder to barbell squat and play my weekly softball without fear of REALLY hurting my knees. Been using the flex strap to loosen my tight Hammy's and have been focusing on strengthening my Hammy's and hip flexors. But all the stretching and strength training is t really helping the right knee pain. Would love to get on this program and don't know where to start. Please help me???

Oop this is me 😅 I prefer walking uphill backwards because it puts less strain on my calves and knees. I also have frequent shin splints lol. Guess I gotta start with those knee strengthening exercises

So happy to hear this helps! Thanks for sharing and keep it up! Always hope!
I walked backwards on a treadmill for the first time bc of you😉
Great!
I got an overuse injury on my left knee probably around 4 years ago, and I still get pain on it if I walk for longer than a hour or so (i don't usually run, but I'd imagine it'd be the same) i did go through physical therapy, but I definitely want to try this out to see if it can help!
(For anyone interested) I don't know the exact injury details, but it was from a week of walking on a sandy beach improperly. It caused my patella to wear down my tendon, which is where the pain was coming from. You actually can still feel the difference in my knees when my legs are straightened out
Oh wow! Could be a foot or ankle imbalance as well! I would absolutely strengthen the knees, but also focusing on foot, ankle, and hip ability as well!
Can you do a series like this for shoulder? Thanks
In my mobility routine here: czcams.com/video/omuAtS7zOa0/video.html&ab_channel=TheKneesovertoesguy
I also cover my 4 step shoulder ability routine. This is part of my shoulder ability protocol and can have some great starting options for you!
When I had my left knee replacement 10 years ago, walking backward on a treadmill was part of the rehab.
That's great!
